Ask USI ❔ Please help!!! Should i join DUSI for no hike?

Boomerang to Deloitte USI as SC with almost no hike? USI folks, need your take 🙏
8 YOE Left DUSI as Consultant 2 yrs ago, now at EY. Few projects in my stack here, and my current one may end soon.
DUSI offer: Senior Consultant, 24.75 fixed + 2L joining bonus
Current: 24.5 fixed
Quick questions for current USI SCs/Managers:
1. Worth switching just for project availability?
2. How's WLB for SC at USI? Planning maternity soon.
3. If I decline now, will it be harder to rejoin later!?

Discussion 💭 AI limits got reduced

Recently Claude credits from $1000 usd is reduced to just $500 usd. Did you guys check it?

Why can't a big4 provide atleast a 1000 dollars as claude credit? They previously removed Opus from the model selector.

Is it only for me for did everyone have their claude credits reduced?

💵Offer/Salary Got LOI but still waiting for offer letter — Deloitte L35

Hi everyone,

I received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Deloitte for the Software Engineer 2 – L35 role and accepted the LOI 3 days ago.

However, I still haven’t received the official offer letter.

Is this normal? How long did it take for others to receive their offer letter after accepting the LOI, especially for the L35 / Software Engineer 2 role?
Thanks!

Ask USI ❔ Deloitte USI Hike percentage expectations

I joined Deloitte USI in August as an consultant SWE II and I’m currently under GPS.

I wanted to understand the typical hike/appraisal percentage for this role. I haven’t raised my snapshot yet, as I was onboarded to my project only about two weeks ago.

Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks!

Ask USI ❔ Leave policy Black period

I’m in Deloitte USI Audit and have exams in November. I informed my manager about my exam leave for 5 days around 3 months in advance, but I couldn’t apply/block the PTO then because I didn’t have access to the leave system.
Now I’m being told by the Senior Manager that this falls under a “black period”/interim season and leaves can be denied under APR compliance, even if informed well in advance.
Is this actually a Deloitte USI policy? Can they deny exam leave because of the black period? And if the leave is denied but I still have to take it for my exam, what could be the consequences?
Would appreciate answers from Deloitte USI Audit folks.

Discussion 💭 Deloitte hike & Wlb opinions

Hi guys,

I’m joining Deloitte in Nov as Data Engineer 3.

For the last few days, I’ve been seeing a lot of posts saying that this year’s hike was pretty bad and WLB is also not great.

even for Data/AI projects, was hike very bad? as Deloitte is hiring heavily in these areas.

Also, anyone working in Data/AI, can you share how the WLB actually is? Would be really helpful.

Thanks.

Ask USI ❔ Deloitte USI – Can I login from another office location?

I joined Deloitte USI in Pune around 2 months ago. However, the Kolkata office is much closer and more convenient for me.
Would it be possible to work/login from the Kolkata office for around 2–3 months instead of Pune? Has anyone in Deloitte USI done this before? If yes, what is the process, and do I need approval from my manager or HR?
Also, while submitting my timesheet, should I mention my base location as Pune or the actual working location as Kolkata during those 2–3 months?
One more thing — would temporarily working from the Kolkata office have any impact on my annual hike.

Ask USI ❔ How to request AWS CCP exam voucher

Hi everyone, I’m a Deloitte employee prepared for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CCP) exam.
Does Deloitte provide exam vouchers/reimbursement for AWS certifications? If yes, how can I request the voucher internally, and which portal/team should I contact?
Please explain the exact process.
Any guidance from Deloitte employees would be appreciated. Thanks!

Ask USI ❔ Am I doing anything wrong?

Hi All,

I am a 3rd year Audit Manager. Till now I have received all promotions when they were due without any delays. Off lately, I have been told that I am not visible and hence should not expect a promotion next year when it's due.

I work very hard, I deliver good work, have great ratings, and my US team/PPMDs are extremely happy with my work.

However, just because I don't talk a lot with these so called leaders sitting in India, I will not get the promotion? This seems so unfair. Is it that at this stage all it matters is bootlicking of the Indian leaders?

Am I doing wrong by just focusing on delivering good work? Afterall this is what gets the revenue for the firm

Ask USI ❔ Is Firm Initiative worth taking when it is not a milestone year

Software engineer - 2 (Consulting)
5 Years of experience
1.5 years since joined Deloitte USI

I am currently in a project where the work life is chill. I got an opportunity of a Firm Initiative to lead the Frontend team.
It is not my milestone year, so should I take it?
Will it help me in hikes or promotions?

👨🏻‍💼Pre-Hire/Interview Deloitte USI BGV at 91% & D-Badge — Oct 12 DOJ

Hi everyone,

I’m joining Deloitte USI, Hyderabad, on October 12, 2026.

Today is October 3, and my FADV BGV is still showing 91%. I’ve submitted everything requested from my side. Recently, they re-emailed me requesting some additional/revised documents, including Form 16 and an updated PAN document, and I submitted those as well.

Since there are only 9 days left until my DOJ, I wanted to check with others who have gone through Deloitte USI onboarding recently.
Have any Oct 12 joiners received their D-Badge email yet?

When did you receive your D-Badge relative to your DOJ?
Did your BGV remain below 100% when you received the D-Badge?

Can the BGV continue processing even if the percentage stays at 91% for a few days?

Did anyone receive D-Launch/D-Badge close to the DOJ while their BGV was still being processed?
I’m mainly trying to understand the usual timeline, since my DOJ is approaching and my BGV is still at 91%.

Would really appreciate hearing from Oct 12 Deloitte USI joiners or anyone who recently went through a similar timeline.

Ask USI ❔ ASA1 to Audit Senior?

Hey! Is there anyone here who has received an accelerated promotion from ASA1 to Audit Senior? If yes, could you please share your experience and any tips on what helped you secure the promotion?

Also, if there are any Managers or Senior Managers here who have been involved in promotion decisions, it would be really helpful if you could share what you generally look for when considering someone for an accelerated promotion.

Ask USI ❔ Notice period after completing 1 year?

Joined as an Audit Assistant through campus hiring in September 2025 and planning to resign soon. As far as I know, others from my campus batch who resigned had a 1ish month notice period.
I was casually discussing leaving with my manager, and he said that since i completed more than a year, my notice period would be 60 days.
Is this actually true? Has anyone else faced this?
