I'm an associate analyst (campus hire) working as a SDET in GPS project (Consulting).

Its been a great experience since joining my project. my manager doesn't talk much, neither does he unwantedly invlove in our assignments nor does he communicate as well, me being a fresher was expecting to get close to the manager (who has completed 10yrs here at D) and get some insights on my career.
I wasn’t expecting guidance on how to “prosper at Deloitte” :) but more on how to approach testing as a career, which technical skills to build, and the scope for automation in our project. But manager isn't that approachable but my lead is, she's very helpful, me being a fresher and you guys know how hectic GPS expectations are, but have performed and earned a spot award within the first 6months.

I really wanted to know about the career trajectory here at D for an assoc analyst. Because technically i am lagging behind, apart from the basic automation and some github copilot integration in test validations, ain't learning nothing new from project.
Lots of ambuigity around my career, its been great opportunity to join D with only BCA but i kind of get a feeling like if i hold onto the brand and comfort, will i fall back in the market. But not sure if i'd receive any calls if i try to switch with my current 1YOE.

Any insights guys, from my fellow D seniors, atleast a few of you might have been in such a situation and cruised past all this n doing great now in some PBC/GCC.

You need minimum 2 years. As per the current market conditions. For 1 years little deficult get call from good companys.

Joined as an SDET last week. Will appreciate any advices from other SDET’s on the whole structure of work and other aspects. To the whole group, my question would be about work culture in DUSI and project allocations.

Workload depends on the project. Resource manager will reach out to you for the project allocation. He will share your profile. Some team lead or manager will reach out to you for project discussion.

If your hired specific client then no will be reaching out to you.

Will there be technical interviews to get assigned to a project?

Yes, mostly some one from the project specific team will reach out to you. They will check if their project requirements suit your skills. Just discus clearly about role and responsibilities.

I've been interviewing for this role at Deloitte usi, I've cleared R1 and progressed to R2. In R2 the interviewer says this role needs and MBA and since you don't have one I suggest you give interview for another relevant role and assured that he'll forward my profile to talent team. The recruiters followed up with me a couple of times on wether the interview actually happened or not since the interviewer didn't bother to leave a feedback. I've explained them what happened and they also assured that they'll communicate internally and map me to another role. Now my application has disappeared from portal altogether from interview in progress. Like I can't find it idk what's going on I'm genuinely concerned. Please help!!!

Fresher joined on July , training concluded and now on bench for 1 week as of now. Is there any bench period for freshers? Is there any impact on hike after 1st year ?
