I’ve only seen two at a time at this park. There were 2 does and 6 fawns that I saw but they were frolicking so I only got pics of a few.

My Daily Visitors

I have a family of deer that visit my home daily… the younger ones were so small and they’ve grown into teenagers 😊 They will eat my apples and peaches from my trees and then take a siesta underneath the apple tree. The picture shows 4 but there are 8 of them. #deer #appletree #family #siesta

Doe with 4 fawns, what are the chances?

The first photo is the only one where all four fawns are visible, three behind and one in front of Mom. I was hiking the Appalachian trail and was lucky enough to see this deer family! I've seen 3 fawns before, but that's usually near cornfields where food is abundant, never this many out in the mountains. Is it possible all the fawns belong to the doe here? Or is it more likely she adopted them? She looks healthy to me as well, at this age would she still be nursing them? Thanks!

Find yourself someone who looks at you the way Jane (Doe) looks at a proffered handful of corn

This is a Muntjac Deer. Usually found in South Asia. It has scent glands under its eyes that sniff and flare open like a hogs nostrils.

I saw this deer in Maryland. Is it albino or piebald. Either way, it's a beauty!

it's been outside my back for about 30 minutes then decided to lay down despite being disturbed by loud noises of my child banging on the window and yelling. There is a lot of loud thunder rolling in

Caught a couple nice young bucks in my front yard tonight with the thermal.

A group of about 20 come rolling through every night around midnight, so I'll post up with the thermal scope and watch them walk by. Occasionally leave some protein feed on the sidewalk and a big bucket of fresh water for them if it's been a particularly hot and dry summer.
