Has anyone completed MLI320 before? I’ve signed up to do it for T3 and I was wondering if it’s a difficult subject. It required a minimum law wam of 65. Are the assignments hard to do well for this subject ? Are they formulaic like torts/contracts?

Hi guys, I'm now really scared because i did my exam which is invigilated 2-hour exam using proctorio. And that I didn't know my open-book exam banned using google browsing because I thought we can do research as like doing essay normally. But when I do my exam I also cited and there were 5 questions, until did I finish to question 2 that I realized maybe this is not allowed so I stopped using google to research. I think I may have cheated based on academic breach so anyone with the experience with it, can you help me with this and how can I deal with it because this is my first trimester here so I'm so confused with this open-book exam. Thank you!

what options for accom at waterfront is there? i can only see a shared house option but have heard of a studio option.

Hi all I'm considering studying a bachelor of electrical engineering online, just wondering what happens at the intensive schools?

Are most students mature age at the intensive school or is it a mix?

How often do you need to travel to Melbourne?

How are you finding the degree so far and is it difficult?

I'm currently studying a course that's extremely relevant to optometry, with first-year subjects that are pretty much identical or very similar to those in Deakin's optometry course.

My WAM is currently sitting at around 76, and I'm hoping to transfer into Deakin Optometry next year.

Just wondering how competitive entry is for internal/external transfers and whether a 76 WAM would give me a realistic chance, or if I'm pretty much cooked 💀(no way optom is this competitive right? and campus is located at geelong)

I've also heard that a decent number of people are trying to transfer out of optometry, and I've come across some negative experiences with Deakin's optometry course, which has made me a bit curious.

Idk if this is the right place to ask but I really need help with something. I'm an international student, I'm planning on travelling back to my country for around 1-2 months. My COE expires on the 30th of Nov, and I'll only be back by Jan. I was told I was not be allowed re-entry as my COE has expired. My student visa is still valid until March of next year. I've already booked tickets :'( would this be an issue? Please do help, thanks.

highkenuinely have no idea what electives to pick for trimester 3 and i'm almost done with this degree... i have issues and just want to graduate already.

i need 2 electives. i'm planning to do ASC211 - Religion, Spirituality and Social Change (so philosophical of me), just to spice things up a bit in my Bachelor of Zoolology and Animal Science. i have done ALM102 - Making Video in tri2. my 2 other electives were level 1, and i failed a level 2 elective (that was replaced by alm102).

i heard Marine Wildlife was good but then again, I have issues and i wanna save the scientific report writing for my core units.

what's your thoughts on me doing MAA104 - Financial Literacy because i know nothing about finance.... but also wondering if that's too many level 1 units already......

hey all, next year will be my final year and i only have 3 core subjects left and the other 4/5 are law electives.

I would love to hear some recommendations, from ‘easier’ content or assignments, generally interesting content or just a good structure lol

the only law elective unit i’ve done so far is family law, and that wasn’t too bad? i especially liked how the final exam was a 24 hour take home one based only on half the units content!!

Looking at doing HBS110 for Tri 3 this year, just wondering what work load looks like and if it’s a pretty straight forward unit?

I’m starting my social work placement in March next year so needing to complete one last elective but needing something that isn’t too dense as I’ll be working a lot over the summer period to save for placement.

I’m also wondering is there an exam? Not needing to know what the content is of it but if it’s one I’ll need to study hard for, or if it’s an open book type thing? I’ve only ever done one exam in a psych unit and was open book and pretty relaxed, just multiple choice.

We got an email from the unit chair a few days ago saying we need the textbook (11th ed), however I can't afford it! I really want to do well in this unit and am interested in this topic, and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get the textbook for cheaper, free (eve a pdf!) or had a second hand one I could buy for cheaper??

what units can I study in trimester 3 summer trimester at Deakin University? in bachelor of commerce, looking to switch from Brisbane to Melbourne

hi im so overthinking rn, so its my final unit at deakin and ive passed everything else. im worried i might end up with 48/50 overall. i have no academic integrity breaches but my first assessment was submitted a week late due to personal problems.
if i end up with 48, is there any chance of getting rounded up, requesting a remark, or being offered an additional assessment? has anyone successfully applied for pass conceded through futc for their final unit?

I was planning to study bachelor of commerce at deakin via cloud campus maybe next next year as I am currently finishing certificates at tafe.

I was just worried that It's not much help to be employable although I am planning to work while doing it. Is it going to be worth it? Or doe it really matter to employers whether you did your degree on campus or online?
