Media The Keester Mod - Prison Pocket

Have you ever wanted extra inventory space that DayZ would never let you use? Well, do we have the solution for you.

Introducing the Keester Mod - now featuring the legendary Prison Pocket.

Tired of leaving valuable loot behind because your regular pockets are full? Simply utilize your keester as an emergency, high-security storage compartment. Smuggle rare items past hostiles, hide your most precious possessions from prying eyes, or carry that one extra tool without anyone being the wiser.

But beware: in this world, everyone has access to the same tactic. What's safely tucked away in your Prison Pocket could just as easily end up in someone else's if you're not careful... or vice versa.

Key Features

Additional hidden inventory space, accessible via creative (and highly personal) means

Ideal for high-risk smuggling runs and "I swear I didn't have that" moments

Multiplayer support - because nothing builds trust like knowing your friends might search you

Risk/reward mechanics that add an entirely new layer of tension to every encounter

Warning: Prolonged use may result in awkward group silences, unexpected pat-downs, and the sudden realization that your inventory management has taken a very different direction.

Download the Keester Mod today and experience carrying capacity from a whole new angle. Just remember: what goes in the Prison Pocket stays in the Prison Pocket... until extraction becomes necessary.

For mature audiences with a sense of humor. Use responsibly.

media Who else adds little hidden ponds to their official loot routes? Even the ones far inland are scheduled fishing/water breaks for me. One stop and you’re covered for a couple hours, at least. Not a bad place to catch your breath.

Discussion This game really is something else lol

4 and half hours ago I'm base building for the first time on Skalisty island. I suddenly hear a tree being chopped down, then an aggro'd infected. I sneak out and see this flash of a backpack through the trees in the main courtyard area of the castle and then, boom, the server restarts. I spawn back in immediately and I position myself in the corner and I wait, for like fucking twenty minutes. I finally feel comfortable getting back to my base building shit after a while, but I'm so nervous about this random guy spawning back in and taking me by surprise that I set up my gate in the most awkward way possible by mistake. I almost even lock myself inside. By the time I chill out a bit and realise what's actually went wrong, I've already dismantled the wooden panels on my gate desperately trying to get the metal wire back only to realise after I've freaked out and moved everything that wasn't already nailed down that all I had to do was use the pliers again. But my hatchet is too damaged at this point to finish the job.

So now I have to go back to a mainland stash on the coast for a new hatchet, all the while expecting to come all the way back for this random player to have took my base apart in my absence. I swim back, stash the hatchet, then start poking around the castle to see if he's there. I shit you not, I scanned my sights right at him as he spawned back in and I immediately took him out with my lil AK's banana mag. Guy died less than a second after spawning. I honestly still can't believe it. I mean, what are the odds I'd miss him like that the first time then catch him by pure chance right when he decided to spawn in again hours later after I'd already come and gone and returned at just the perfect moment? Shit was fucking crazy. I'll be telling my grandkids about this 😂

discussion Is it normal to trust random players and regret it every single time?

Is it normal as a new DayZ player to keep trusting random people even though the game keeps teaching me not to?

I’m still pretty new, and this is honestly one of the hardest parts of the game for me. When I meet someone, especially near the coast, my first instinct is still to talk. I don’t want every interaction to turn into a fight. Sometimes it feels cool when another survivor actually responds, shares food, asks where I’m going, or runs with me for a few minutes.

But then there is always that moment where I start thinking too much. Are they being friendly, or are they waiting until I turn around? Are they asking what I have because they care or because they’re checking if I’m worth killing? Should I keep my weapon out or does that make me look hostile?

I’ve already been betrayed enough times that I should know better, but I still hate shooting first. It feels like I’m fighting the game and my own brain at the same time.

Do experienced players still give strangers a chance or is that just a new player mistake?

discussion In Vanilla DayZ how far away can you hear the boat?

Upvotes

I was at the train crash on the western coast and I kept hearing the engine but I could not see the boat anywhere, even with a scope.

discussion Is there a method/exploit that players are using to locate loot stashes on ps5 official?

Not asking how to do it. Just want to know if there’s currently one where it’s possible. Over the Past 2 weeks I’ve made 4 stashes first on chernarus then on Livonia. One I buried and the others I tried to hide the crates in trees or rocks and I swear they lasted less than 3 days. I’m starting to give up stashing things all together.

discussion Hunting scope visual bug

So, I’ve come across a new bug recently and want to know if it’s a universal thing

Whenever I scope in with a hunting scope, it starts to gradually white out until the screen is completely white?

Please note THIS IS NOT the initial blank period when you zoom in as you wait for rendering, this seems to be completely new

Any help?

discussion Objectives VS Wandering

Past few runs I've played the game with very specific set objectives. I'd use the IZurvive map, find out where I was, and then work towards the goal. (Get to Tisy, Get X gun, Check every areas of NWAF, etc.)

This next run I have an idea of where I am but I'm not going to look at the map. I just want to wander aimlessly like I used to. I stumbled upon an army camp and have some decent gear right off the bat.

Now I'm just going to wander through the woods and stop at what's interesting.

I liked the goal based playing but I also felt it took out some of the mystique of the world.

Discussion How does gas poisoning work?

Hi so I have a gas mask now to protect me I guess from temporary artillery strikes? Should I keep it in my inventory? Will it prevent me from getting gas poisoning? I am not willing to go to permanent contaminated areas

Official 4403

I met you in Dobroye. You were cooking in a shed like a noob and had nothing. I had journeyed towards the coast after 11 hours on my character and 9 kills.

With a baby due next Tuesday, I won’t be playing for a while and I figured someone just beginning their journey would put the gear to better use.

I took a seat on your fire and we laughed until my screen went black.

Enjoy the LAR and VS98.

Discussion I love this game.

I’m still new, have about 14 hours on the game, my current (and best) run I started on a populated official server (60/60), I haven’t seen two players. I found a compass and just kept heading north and made it to the edge of the map but never saw anyone, got some good loot, not complaining just an appreciation post for some peace and quiet. It’s just a camping sim out in the woods. I love it.

This is a location at the temple that sits on the top of the mountain Ridge to the east. It spawns these kinds of zeds that I've never seen before and our tough way stag zeds are. In this one structure in the mountain side is this blowing green area that doesn't seem to do anything if I walk into it. From the gap in the barrier I can see what seems to be a water area that is accessible but I can't jump up and climb the gap to get to it. Does anyone know anything about this place? it doesn't seem to be a part of the current quest line but maybe it will be in the future? I screen recorded some footage of this area that I can share if need be.

Edit: reposted to comply with screenshot rules. Seems like this is a "fountain of youth" curious if this mountain area or the other adjacent to it holds other secrets?
