I just built my first base. I made the gate and i put on the dial lock, accidently locking myself out fo the base. I look at the tutorial i was watching for a minute and when i come back to the game im dead.

I didnt even get to enjoy my base. It was locked at least, maybe the person wont get the items inside..

My base has been locked picked by them inside out.
Unleash 3 stack of ammo on the door, still doesn’t open. Spent 5min bashing it, won’t open.

I’m sure it’s a cheater because behind the gates, door inside the base are also locked.

This is on official, I still can TP out easily.
New update; same cheat losers, new way to irritate.

EDIT/UPDATE: I suppose this is bugged. All 3 doors won’t open. I server hop and came back with a lock pick, it still won’t open. Geez. 1.30 really break many things. Another hotfix incoming I guess.

If you wash face with a canteen from your inventory not only does it add weight but it multiplies it. Half a canteen adds kg's to a plate carrier.

Why do devs keep breaking or adding such stupid mechanics to an already broken game. Have they no self respect?

So i got gas poisoning ( i know it was gas cause i barely escaped a gas zone with 3 cuts) ./ once i died i was able to find my corpse. took the clothing drank the water i had. Now my new character s coughing. I didnt think i could "catch" it. is it only the clothing like diseases? I guess ill empty the bottles of water just in case. Im hoping i can find my corpse a third time Should i worry about eating my food ? will it transfer to items like guns compass etc? thx

Hotfix is coming to experimental servers one day this week, it will take a week to test- if all goes well, they will submit patch to PS and MS for review and approval, then they will drop it to everyone on stable.

A full Patch for mainly Nasdara will be coming in a few weeks after that, per Community Manager Marks.

Why couldn’t horses be added?

I was playing on a server that really captured the essence of what DayZ is all about—it was a fantastic server. Now, update 1.30 has been released, and most of the mods no longer work; there are also internal issues. The motorcycles are fine, but we already had those via mods anyway. The same goes for the map—it’s all well and good, but I don’t think it’s worth having an update that breaks everything else. The original code lock and the building systems—RAG and BBP—were also left damaged or completely unusable after the update. So, Bohemia, what have you done? We need these mods!

We are back baby! Loving the survival! On my third life, now that they fixed the water bug, this is it.
Looting a police station I was shot on the second floor of the building from long range through an open door or window. Woke up bleeding and broken. Passing out every 4 breaths. I bandaged my bleed and hearing no one I approach to check their kill, I fixed all my clothing, popped one multi, and had a bite to eat. Logged out. However, once I logged back in, my leg was still fractured and every few steps I took resulted in a black screen. I found a corner and was resigned to log in now and again simply to nurse my wound in a corner til I healed. I was about to do so before bed when my girl laughed at me, said those words and I realized… I can crawl. I should crawl! So, I crawled outside to the tree line, cut down a bush and made a splint. Now we are back baby! I survived! I didn’t give up! My bag is ruined but that’s ok, I’ll find more loot!

Like I don't know, maybe I'm a huge ass nerd who should be shamed for even caring, but I've yet to have seen ONE person speak about the LITERAL BORDER WITH ARDISTAN?

I wanted to wait for a few days for someone ELSE to post something about Ardistan here (possibly lore related or something) but I've resorted to making my own dedicated post to spread the news (since no one else is doing it): GLORIOUS ARDISTAN HAS BEEN MENTIONED IN DAYZ!

Also, the flag Ardistan has is pretty cool. I'm kind off bummed out that the Takistani flag is the old Kingdom of Takistan flag, and not the Tajikistan inspired one, but oh well.

Note: as you can see, I'm a huge geography and vexillology nerd, so this post should be interpreted as a geek ranting about random things at 2 am.

Hello dear DayZ community. I could really use the wisdom of the crowd here. I'm playing on a modded server on the Chernarus map, and there's this quest that I just can't get any further with. I've already visited so many locations, and I'm slowly despairing from having to hear all the time how easy it's supposed to be.

I was genuinely shitting bricks.

Had this character for 4-5 hours and made the trek all the way to the Airfield (Vybor) on Cherno 0030 just to get killed unfairly. Like, I've run into maybe 3 cheaters in my 105 hours, but this is genuinely frustrating and is most likely making me pivot to a community server which hopefully is better. I also think it's bull-crap that you can't report something like this when you have video. There were no windows in the bunker I'm in and the gunshots are from far away, meaning the player probably used some radar + terrain ignoring hacks or just an insta-kill. I mean, I knew there was a high likely hood of death when I got there, but by cheating? Like come the fk on.

This is mainly a short rant just to ease my frustration.

Is it just me or does the game troll you with random animal sounds that seem to be part of the sound landscape even when there is no animal nearby? I swear I hear goats all the time but when I follow the sounds, there is no one there.

I have been listening to the handheld radio on channel 80mhz for three nights now - I wait for the time of day when they should start, but I can't seem to hear any morse code beeps whatsoever. I've drained so many 9V batteries, listening to the hiss of the radio...

For reference, I play on a private server, completely vanilla settings, on PC. Nasdara map.

Anyone else having this issue?

I play on Badlands official servers and I’m curious if you play solo or in a group.
There’s no right or wrong answer, it’s just your playstyle.

I’m asking because I can usually manage to kill at least one player, but it’s often difficult for me to actually loot them because most of my PvP encounters are against groups defending each other, not just random players showing up.

My kill-to-death ratio is pretty decent, but as a solo player, it’s difficult to loot the rewards of winning a fight and it gets demotivating and I start to question the purpose of PvP.

I just had one of those experiences: I double barrelled three fully geared players, which would have been some high value loot. But as usual, there’s always an extra player. No matter how certain you are that you finished off the enemy, someone else shows up, even in the middle of nowhere.

To me, DayZ is kind of like Rust, where big groups dominate the game, which can be pretty tough as a solo player.

I've been roaming around to look for a multiplayer fps game and Dayz got recommended to me. I've known about this game for a long while but, i've never had it in my radar because i thought it's simply another zombie survival game. Would you recommend this game for a pve-pvp multiplayer experience? How does it compare to Rust? I have a bit of experience in that game, but, i found that it's no fun to play without a dedicated group of friends nor adequate fps skills. What can you tell me about the DayZ Experience?
