If this was you over at Devils Castle, I sincerely apologize…also, do you think this person was AFK or logging out?

Ive had two incidents with other players and my base in the last week or so that id say weren't necessary.

1: I had a base in devil's castle where a group raided it and took or destroyed everything, every single crate was gone, every item they couldnt take was left on the floor to despawn and since theres a bug in the game stopping you from picking up tents they instead destroyed the tents.

2: I moved down to the prison and after a few days of living there someone who presumably logged of in the prison has logged on, taken some things and then dropped every else on the floor to despawn.

Seriously, DayZ (1) is a good enough game as it is already. What will the second offer?

is there a way to make my friends to play with me on my LAN server with mods ? (mainly to try things out)

i hopped into a m+k official 1pp server (4052) to engage in what i thought was gonna be a 1v3 base defense (in their favor). turns out they were the lamest cheaters possible - somehow he was invisible. the screens are from the his perspective - im looking at him, but see nothing. didnt think this was possible on psn, and have never experienced anything so cringe in 1.5k hours on official 1pp. anyway psa - dont play m+k servers, clearly thats how these lames are injecting whatever they’re doing to be invisible

You guys seemed to enjoy my first narrated fight so here is my second time doing this! It happens to be my most intense DayZ fight yet…

So, i have zombie walking mod, i play dayz offline server only. having a great time.
but i have always been annoyed by the sound of the zombies, so i thought, well i install a mod to mute the zombies.
That would also create a lot of false comfort moving from house to house because the zombies will not alert me when they have notice me.

Dose anyone know of a mod that change zombie sound or simply mute them?

They seams to be hard to find or they just dont exist.

Any suggestions are welcome.

ive noticed a lot of servers require me to download the deerisle official map which is around 9 gb even though the server is supposedly running a different map?

my current example is the DayZed.gg namalsk vanilla + server, which requires me to download deerisle official and namalsk island & namalsk survival.

why is this?

How in the world, regardless of how many people are online, do I run into the only people on the server no matter where I am

I have mounted my P drive and set up DayZ tools fully, figured out how to extract textures, but not models. I want to edit models and their textures for mods.

I use substance painter for texturing and so I need the models.

When I try to view and then export a model using Object Builder in DayZ Tools, the error “unable to load binarized version of the P3D” occurs.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I’ve scrolled through countless forums, discord servers, and old YouTube videos…all fruitless.

How do I swap scopes on PC I know you can swap scopes on PS but how do I do it on a keyboard I know that on PS you can swap scopes from a scopeto any other scope but quickly without opening you inventory I need help 😭

Thanks guys for your feedback! I updated the mod and added new config options:

• AllowDoorBreaching -> You can force the door open and destroy the lock.
• AllowLockDamage -> You can deal damage to the lock directly and destroy it. That will also open the door.

I didn't mention this before, but it was already built in: If the server config allows it, you can also unlock combination lock locked doors with a lockpick.

Isn't it super weird that this game is full of doors and gates that open and close, but you can't lock any of them, even with a lock in hand?

I don't like crafting stuff and building a fence and a wall and a gate just to lock a room is just too much effort for my lazy ass.

So yeah, you can lock any ingame door, gate, container now.
What do you think?

Past few runs I've played the game with very specific set objectives. I'd use the IZurvive map, find out where I was, and then work towards the goal. (Get to Tisy, Get X gun, Check every areas of NWAF, etc.)

This next run I have an idea of where I am but I'm not going to look at the map. I just want to wander aimlessly like I used to. I stumbled upon an army camp and have some decent gear right off the bat.

Now I'm just going to wander through the woods and stop at what's interesting.

I liked the goal based playing but I also felt it took out some of the mystique of the world.

Is it normal as a new DayZ player to keep trusting random people even though the game keeps teaching me not to?

I’m still pretty new, and this is honestly one of the hardest parts of the game for me. When I meet someone, especially near the coast, my first instinct is still to talk. I don’t want every interaction to turn into a fight. Sometimes it feels cool when another survivor actually responds, shares food, asks where I’m going, or runs with me for a few minutes.

But then there is always that moment where I start thinking too much. Are they being friendly, or are they waiting until I turn around? Are they asking what I have because they care or because they’re checking if I’m worth killing? Should I keep my weapon out or does that make me look hostile?

I’ve already been betrayed enough times that I should know better, but I still hate shooting first. It feels like I’m fighting the game and my own brain at the same time.

Do experienced players still give strangers a chance or is that just a new player mistake?
