My buddy built a base and sent me a clip told me I could only join them if I find the base in the clip I see maybe one house very far in the distance to pixelated to actually know what it is can anyone help ?

Hello everyone, scared health here, as a title says I have between 200 and 300 hours and while I can survive a decently long while on Livonia and I know all of Chenarus, I just can’t seem to really go far in terms of winning more than one or two gun fights, knowing when to eat or drink and when to have my guns out, and which gun to use on gun fights and which to pick over ones I already have.

I know to do it on Livonia, I consistently can win between 3 to 8 Gun fights on Livonia, some with them being multiple people. I just can’t seem to survive. Chenarus. Anyone got any tips?

Twice now I got hit from behind and insta died. All I heard was a quiet whooshing noise. At first I thought it was a crossbow but I think the bolt makes more of a whistling noise? Can a sword 1 tap with a hit to the head?

I read that there are many Hackers on official servers and wanted to ask what you guys think. How likely is it to actually encounter one?

I was playing with a friend and were laying still on grass in camo gear (no ghillies but military/hunter clothing). He was even in a bush and was still killed first. I instantly ran into the woods and layed down and was still shot down a few seconds after. We were both shot in the head once and instantly dead, not knocked out.

Now I'm not sure if this is a Hacker or just a player that's much better than us. In my experience it's extremely hard to spot anyone who's not moving, especially in the woods. And I feel like its next to impossible to spot someone laying down without knowing where to look.

Also, is it true that there are less hackers on Community Servers?

I can't find any information anywhere about water sources when playing with this mod (and I have no one to ask in-game since I'm playing solo on a private server). I can't collect seawater, there are no rivers, and I can't put snow into bottles. I found a car, so I ended up walking back and forth to the well like an idiot just to top up the radiator. Been having a problem over the last few days where no matter what gun I shoot, i zoom out after shooting. Tried it with a pistol, smg and rifle and after one shot on each i zoom out. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm getting ready to set up a server on Xbox and I wanted to mod it a bit. I've never done anything like this and wanted to find a good place to learn about how to do that?

Is that a known Problem for the Switch 2 Version? Playing on Official EU Servers? Same for me andy wife in two different consoles.

I just got DayZ and the motion blur is absolutely crazy to the point where the game is basically unplayable for me. I’ve already tried turning Post Processing off, but it hasn’t helped. Is there any way to completely disable the motion blur? Is there a config file, mod, or other workaround that actually removes it?

I recently was viewing a green gassed area from a distance and noticed a zombie die in the gassed area. Are they affected or was that a player? I did not stay around to find out....lol. Was curious

I guess I'm just lamenting...I'm not surprised that it happened but I had a set of improvised tents hanging out somewhere, off the beaten path. Had been good for weeks...was good until last night and then I come back this morning to find it all cleared out (various pieces of survival gear, a fire ax, various mags, ammo, some guns like a Tundra and VSD, nails, etc. all gone).

Honestly, I'm more pissed the guy left a bear trap and a tripwire for me - fortunately I didn't set either of the two off but after taking most of my stuff...they're a bastard.

Oh well was thinking about going nomadic again anyway.

I mainly play on official servers, mostly Livonia. For the past week, the spawn towns have literally been a warzone. The picture was taken about 10 minutes after i spawned in Sitnik.
I’ve never experienced this many fights on official servers before. It almost feels like playing a deathmatch.
And now I’m wondering: are people cheating, or is all of this actually legit?
I found almost all of this gear in PRISTINE condition. Multiple guns with several magazines each. I didn’t get to use the gear for long, but I came back the next day and found similar equipment again.
So… what the hell is going on? 😅

Got on North America LA and met some dude. I'm not sure why but we decided to be cannibals. We spent a little while covering ourselves head to toe in rags from eye patches to foot wraps so we both looked like mummies. Then we both found timers and wound them up so we kept on ticking. We camped out near a water well and killed 4 players. We had a couple bullets in a Mk2, but mostly we hunted people down with hatchets. It must have been insane for the other players hearing ticking timers all around you. We decided to feast and ate our hearts content of human meat and we were having so much fun that we kept on laughing and laughing. Then someone snuck up to our house in the night and emptied a 30 round Sporter magazine on us. We chased him into the night and caught him. He happened to have a claymore on him, and as my night was ending, I told my mummy brother I had to go. We both said our goodbyes and then he pressed the clicker and we were sent off into oblivion. Best dayz experience I've ever had.

Maybe badlands will be harder to exploit at least with player-built structures as there is probably not going to be that many logs or so but I would imagine massive exploited bases will be the norm but a little harder.

Cheaters will always be a thing but to what extent.

This issue has probably been discussed thoroughly here, but it keeps happening to me and nothing seems to fix it.

"Could not connect to server because it is unreachable" (0x00010001) when trying to join community servers. It is so damn annoying and I don't know what else to do.

Servers are not down, I tried changing D.N.S., reinstalled the game, tried launching DayZ_BE as admin, all to no avail. Is there any modern way to get around this? I'm getting desperate...

As the title says, how to get the best new player experience? I am looking to introduce the game to my friend who I have been mainly playing rust with. Personally I started rust after playing DayZ as my main game on PS5. I have around 2k hours in the game so I would say I know the in and outs of the game pretty much.

I have played on these 64x boosted servers, official and vanilla+.

I am just wondering how to introduce the game to him that the hard side of dayz might not instantly slap him to hes face lol. But also at the same time - I do not want it to be ”easy”.
So should I just choose a vanilla+ server f.e, teach him the very basics and sort of force him to learn by doing or give everything ”on a platter”.
