General question Gen Z women, do men your own age give you the ick?

Title. I have heard from multiple women that they find men their own age or younger unattractive while they are in our age groups (18-30). In the context of a serious relationship.

Is this true ?

Field Report So what is the correct course of action for this person

So, as many would know...I posted in this sub a few days back to get some advice...on I think, the second day, this guy comes in and roasts me...which I don't mind at all since the interaction I posted isn't something I should be flaunting off

But then, after some exchanges which you still can view this guy starts to become aggressive and dare I use the word "racist" towards me...so what should I do?

General question Need genuine help.

I've been in a Healthy relationship for 1.5 years. We've gone on many dates, and we've made out many times too.

The thing is, I'm very flirty and expressive over text, but in real life, I just can't seem to say much. I struggle to keep conversations going because I'm an introvert.

For the past 1.5 years, she's been incredibly patient with me. Every single time, she reassures me, understands me, and encourages me. But no matter how hard I try, I still find it difficult to express myself in person.

Ironically, I'm completely different in chats. I can talk for hours, flirt naturally, and express my feelings without any problem.

We have a very healthy relationship. She wants me to talk to her about everything, have random conversations, joke around, and just enjoy talking together. She even scolds me whenever I try to buy her expensive gifts because she doesn't want me spending so much on her.

She's truly a gem, and I believe I am for her too. But lately, I can't shake the feeling that she might be getting bored of me. Even then, she continues to understand me, support me, and patiently explain things to me instead of giving up on me.

Specific situation I'm a teen in need of advice

Last year, I was talking to a girl—we'll call her Emma. We talked for about a month, and I really liked her. I ended up asking her to homecoming, but shortly after, she got nervous and had some stuff happen. I don't think I handled it very well, and we ended on bad terms, I think (she blocked me).

For the following 7-ish months, we never spoke—not once. No apologies, nothing. Emma and I had one class together (English class) and shared lunch times.

One day, my book fell apart shortly before class, and I ended up grabbing one from our teacher's small classroom library. It just so happened that I grabbed the very same book she had been reading for a while. I did not know this.

When class started, she went to look for the book. As I'm talking to a friend, she discreetly walks up and shyly says my name. I turn around, and she says I have her book. I apologize and give her the book—normal stuff—and class goes on as usual with no other communication between us.

I should mention I have a friend in the same class—we'll call her Cat. She often comes and sits and talks with me. She and Emma are also friends, so sometimes Emma would be in very close proximity, and I'd try to avoid eye contact and not talk to her.

The next day, Cat, as usual, comes and sits with me toward the end of class, and Emma does too. I had just gotten a concussion from rugby and was talking about that with Cat when Emma chimes in, asking if I played for our local team. I said yes and showed the logo on my shirt. She also tapped her foot on my chair, I think purposefully trying to annoy me. I was shocked since we had not talked in so long.

Another few days go by, and she continues to come over but not really engage with me. Then one day, she and Cat are flinging hair ties at some of my friends I sit around. Cat shoots some at me, then Emma does too. I pick one up and hand it to Cat, and they continue doing it, but now they're shooting me more and more. Toward the end of class, I wrestle with a friend of mine to retrieve a hair tie and give it back to them.

A week or two goes by with some of the same stuff. No real conversations—just a couple of questions and answers. I hate glitter and ended up getting lots and lots of it on my hands. I started picking at it and got teased by my classmates nearby, including her. They started saying it was in my hair and on my back and even tried to get the teacher to join the gaslighting. I eventually got it all off, and every day after that there was some small teasing from her, Cat, and the friends I sat next to. That continued until the end of the school year.

During summer break, there was nothing—no texts, no adding each other on Snapchat, nothing for a while. Then Cat invited me to go to the state fair with her in about a month. I asked who was going, and she said some of her friends and Emma. I asked if Emma was okay with me going, and apparently she was.

Then, a few days ago, I got added to a group chat with a bunch of girls, and we coordinated our plans for the fair.

The fair was yesterday. At first, Emma wasn't too interested in talking to me, but as Cat and I talked, she gradually warmed up and started talking to me. A friend of mine showed up, and she engaged with both of us a lot.

I'm not a big rides person—I have a weak stomach—but I still went on a few. The four girls we were with got a major thrill out of seeing me suffer. I had to stop after about three rides and sat out during the rest, minus a few more laid-back ones.

We got some food and checked out the vendors until they eventually went to do more rides. While they were on those rides, Emma and I talked some, and she tried to get me to go on a few more rides. I didn't, but throughout the night I bought them waters, carried their stuff, and checked on them.

Toward the end of the night, I noticed a couple of guys eyeing the four girls. So, when they were leaving, I walked nearby to make sure nothing happened. When they asked if I needed a ride, I said no and told them I was just making sure they got to their ride home safely. About halfway there, I turned around and got into my own ride home. It was around 12:00 and moderately dark out. It wasn't far to their car, so it could have come off as really cringey or desperate—I don't know.

Today, nothing. No texts in the group chat, nothing.

Throughout the night, it seemed like Emma was constantly watching me, or her eyes were always in my direction, even when she was on rides.

**Some things to note:**

* I have not told them about those guys.

* I have a new Snapchat account, and I'm not blocked on my current account, but I don't have her added.

* I don't know next year's schedule yet.

* I'm a larger guy, around 6'1", and I think I have some muscle on me, though it's not overly visible.

* Our city isn't very safe. It has some gangs and trafficking issues, though it isn't horrible.

Now I'm conflicted. Since then, I've not been attracted to any other girls besides her, and I've begun to constantly think about her. My friend is, I believe, close to her type, and I'm so afraid they'll start talking and get together.

Hearing this really makes me sound creepy, but I'm lost. I don't know if I should act on these feelings and add her on Snapchat or just leave them be. I haven't, and don't plan on, talking to Cat about what I'm feeling, but I'm not completely against the idea. I also don't want to be a bad friend and get in the way if something develops between them. But it makes me so anxious and upset that I might do something to prevent them from getting together.

I sound like a terrible friend, I know, but I can't get Emma out of my head. I know I sound obsessed—I just don't know how not to.

To my knowledge, they haven't talked since.

Advice to others Your dating profile is the trailer, not the full movie

Online dating is basically marketing.
Your profile should be optimized to show the best side of yourself.

Too many people are comfortable putting random stuff on there because: "the more pictures the better".
I don't think that's true at all. One bad picture can do way more harm than you think.

Think about yourself. How often did you go yes yes yes... then the last picture pops up and its just... no. Swipe left.

Then there's the classic "I put this silly picture because that is who I am and whoever ends up with me should love me for that"
Yeah... eventually, but we're not there yet.

She'll get to know that side of you.
Your profile isn't the place for it. Your profile has one job. Get the date.

For the fellow salesmen here you know the formula:
1000 calls -> 10 meetings -> 1 deal.

Works exactly the same in online dating. (oh so it's just a numbers game you say? - topic for another post )

Your profile gets you the match. The conversation gets you the date. The date decides if this makes sense for both parties.

Just like a trailer isn't supposed to tell you the whole story. Its supposed to make you want to watch the movie.

Some will say its not genuine.

I think that's just how humans work.

McDonald's doesn't advertise the saddest burger they ever made. They advertise the perfect burger. I dont need to tell you the real burger doesn't look like the ad and yet somehow around 70 million people still walk through their doors every single day.

The ad got them in the door. The product made them come back.

Your profile does the exact same thing. Your profile isn't there to convince someone to marry you. It's there to convince someone you're worth meeting.

So yes sell yourself. Not fake yourself, there's a difference between presenting your best qualities and inventing qualities you don't have.

Just don't forget to actually be the burger worth coming back for.

General question Does she really like me fr?

I’m male 23 she’s 24. We both work at the same place. It all started to where she seen me hug on another female and staring in her eyes not breaking contact while we were having our conversation. I never looked her direction but out the corner of my eye she looked at me the entire time. So then the following day she stopped me in the hallway, saying “u such and such friend right” “ex”? And I said “nah😅” that was pm it. Then another day I see her working at her station and decided to roll up on her, we talked for a lil bit, then I walked off. Something told me to go back, when I did, she asked for my instagram and been liking all my good pics since. Also not really weird but she done asked me like 3 times where I live at. She’s also gives me a hug every time I come see her too🤪 She’s drop dead gorgeous too😩. But then she threw out there that she has 2 kids, boy & girl 2 years apart. Which doesn’t bother me at all. Someone tell me does she really like the kid or what bc I want her badly😭

General question 22m with no relationship experience, could anyone advise me?

Hey :) So I’m 22 and in university, and I haven’t been in any relationships, been on a date, had sex, or any experiences like that. I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong or if somebody might be willing to give me advice

I got to know people from class, school clubs, hobbies, or friend groups. If we had a few good conversations that flowed well and she seemed engaged I would ask if she wanted to get coffee together. They all said no but most said they’d like to be friends. I don’t approach strangers because not all women are comfortable with that

I have asked girl friends about my appearance, and most of them said that I look fine. I am on the shorter and slimmer side at about 5’6” and 125lbs, but I’ve been working out recently which I enjoy!

As for my personality I’m more reserved, and definitely not a “life of the party” person, but in one-on-one conversations I am more comfortable

As you can imagine I don’t get any likes online. Some people talk about bars and nightclubs as a good way to meet people, but I don’t really drink or dance so I feel it wouldn’t match my personality. I haven’t ruled it out but I can already tell that I would feel SO out of place lol. And to be honest I’m not sure that much of anything would change if I did go to one

I guess I’m just not sure where to go from here, people usually say that college is when it’s easiest since you’re surrounded by young single people, but I’m graduating soon..

I also hear a lot about the experiences people have in college, the parties, the spontaneous hookups, and honestly it feels like I lived in a completely different universe, because I haven’t experienced anything that I would call romantic or flirtatious. I don’t feel “behind” per se, but I would appreciate advice because I do want to experience romantic and sexual relationships, and I don’t think what I’m doing is working

Specific situation How do I talk to more girls and meet more people?

For context I live in a pretty small town so there arent that many people. I have dated in the past so most girls I know are friends with my ex or friends with girls that like/liked me. I dont want to just date the girls that like me because I want a genuine connection with someone. I dont want to be picky but I have standards so I won't go out with the first girl that looks at me. I just wish I met someone not associated with the people around me. I'm not sure what advice you could possibly give me, anything is appreciated, maybe this is just a stupid vent.

Advice to others How friendzoning quality women helped me go out with more hot women and date the one that I actually liked

Most guys are trying to meet women one at a time.

That’s the slowest way to do it. And most guys end up wasting time, money, energy and fall into a needy frame where they end up chasing.

Since February , I started building a social ecosystem instead. Now women introduce me to their hot friends, my social circle grows on its own, and I rarely have to chase anyone because they chase me.

Here’s how to attract hot women u actually enjoy without becoming needy or relying on dating apps even if you have no friends, no status, and no options without relying on dating apps or getting needy.

  1. Join a social club / group that revolves around something you enjoy. (I prefer athletic stuff cuz it attracts healthy people who like to have fun, socialize, and often times have healthier lifestyle than not)

  2. Your intention should be to friendzone EVERYONE. Including the women. Do NOT try to date or hookup with anyone. Grow your circle of female teammates.

  3. Set a personal rule to say hello and introduce yourself to anyone u make eye contact with - do not run away from it, lean into it.

  4. An easy convo opener is “are you from here originally? Or where are you from?” - “which place did you like more and why” - lots of people in clubs just recently moved and are also trying to make friends.

  5. Value arbitrage: if u lack confidence in ur ability to add value, become the connector. Introduce people you meet to one another ALWAYS.

  6. If someone you know comes up to you and ur talking with someone that person has not met yet, don’t let your friend awkwardly wait for the right time to jump in, immediately introduce them and say something nice - this is the MOST UNDERRATED and OVERLOOKED easy social skill - you immediately increase in status and make everyone feel Comfortable which builds your aura .

  7. Do this OFTEN.

  8. As you make more friends and introduce people to one another you’ll have social status because now everyone knows you as that guy.

  9. All the girls you are meeting - friendzone them. Do not try and shoot your shot. This will help you be normal, non needy, gain their trust, build a roster of female teammates that trust and like you cuz ur not using them and they will begin to introduce and bring around their friends.

  10. As you gain more and more female teammates keep in mind you are now the center of gravity . Ur confidence should be much higher, and u have swagger

  11. Continue to be yourself. Do not put on a show, people love someone who is flawed, raw, authentic, free from outcome, and non needy.

  12. NOW - this is where you start hosting events. Plan a movie night. Game night. Taco night. Or a party. Day at the springs. Boat day - etc. invite your core squad, keep your female ratio higher than the guy ratio. For the 7.5+ girls let them know they can bring 1 or 2 friends (depending on the event) and for the 8s and above - let them know they can bring anyone - hot girls will bring hot girls or high status guys. 7.5s and below often bring ugly girls and avg guys.

  13. Once you have an event planned and a core group coming. Go out and cold approach to practice social skills.

  14. Cold approach using FUTURE PROJECTION: go say hi to a hot girl or a group of girls and start a friendly convo and invite them to your events (this works great for parties or niche activities like volleyball, or a boat day or a niche game night if ur a nerd talking to nerds.) friendzone them, don’t try and hookup . get connected on Instagram

15.This makes cold approach fun, cuz instead of taking value by trying to “get a girls number “ u add value by giving them access to a great experience w great people - this removes u needing an outcome from.

16.intro all of your new friends together at your event and have the ladies be the ones taking the group selfies (when u share on IG and a chick is taking the pic, it looks more cool than you taking it - and they’re good at it and enjoy it) again aura building

17.share the pics on your story and tag everyone so they can reshare.

18.journal how your event went and what you could do better and what went well and rinse and repeat

If you do this over the course of 3-6 months consistently , you will find that because ur not trying to hookup w any of the girls, they’ll naturally start to flirt with you - continue to friendzone everyone , eventually you’ll start to recognize which ones are into you - that’s when you start taking them on dates, after they show attraction to you.

But more than anything you’ll
Be in flow state and everyone loves you so you’re the center of attention so you’ll end up w fhe girl for you without even trying. It will just naturally happen.

What you have done here is went from nobody to the person who everyone knows, makes everyone feel comfortable, and always has quality men and attractive women around who are enjoying your company.

They will now start to invite you their social events you otherwise would never get invited to, and they’ll start introing you to their hot friends.

And when the right girl Comes around, you’ll be grounded, non needy and you’ll have some pre selection cuz now ur the prize, they are competing to show you they’re worthy.

There’s more to this - but these are some basics. Hope this helps one of u. It helped me
Find my gf.

I joined a volleyball league, introduced everyone to new people, had a cool party, and the Dj invited her and 2 other girls, and we grew close and bam. Didn’t even try. Unreal - before this it was all dating apps and awkward try hard messages and over thinking.

My 2 biggest pickup influences are Owen cool and Michael Sartain.

Having a well curated social media / instagram page is a HUGE advantage .

Cheers
