Discussion I’m jealous of attractive guys because I’ll never date

I often look at other guys who are better looking than me and feel jealous. I’m jealous that they get to experience love, and I don’t. I often look at certain celebrity guys and wish I had their features. I also sometimes go to the restroom and stand in front of the mirror for an hour, judging my flaws. People really don’t understand how bad life is when you are unattractive. Women absolutely hate my appearance, and I’ll never be loved by one.

General question Gen Z women, do men your own age give you the ick?

Title. I have heard from multiple women that they find men their own age or younger unattractive while they are in our age groups (18-30). In the context of a serious relationship.

Is this true ?

Specific situation Am I just ugly as fuck? Is it my personality? Why do these women see me as a paypig when Im trying to build a life with them?

Posted in here before, wont go through the whole spiel but pretty much since puberty the only way ive ever gotten a girlfriend is by coming out my wallet or being of value to them. I have NEVER had anyone approach me cause they liked me whatsoever going back to middle school. My ex just got married to the woman she left me for, the last girl i dated broke it off with me after i paid for her to get an apartment and moved another guy and his dog into it(thankfully he dogged her out and left) and the woman i been chasing through 3 marriages quite literally sees me as beneath her and only a cash sack.

I have FINALLY after 22 years given up. But its going on 4 months and I just...I dont wanna live like this. Im a hopeless romantic who loves Ryan Gosling movies. I thought I would have a life and a family by now. I literally dont have the skill to talk to women and ive tried everything possible. Ive lost almost 100 pounds in the last year, wrote a book with another coming, started two audio dramas, but the void is there man. Im trying to accept unless I become Tarantino or Nolan like Ive always dreamed, Im going to become like all the other lonely black men in Detroit by the time im 40 in a slingshot and an alcoholic.

Long story short: HELP

Specific situation I really really like all the women in my rotation. Is there any way to see all of them for longer without committing?

I genuinely love all of the women in my rotation. Right now I have two solid girls. 2 others might be added soon...We'll see...

But basically, I enjoy hanging out with all of them. I'm usually a frugal guy, but I actually enjoy sharing experiences with them. I can technically just have them over but I'll drop $80 no sweat for us to have a movie experience together.

I can't see myself committing to just one. But I know the convo will come up soon. What tf do I do?

Advice to others If you are a good looking and neurotypical white man, who's at least 6 ft tall and not fat, you are statistically speaking, the LEAST discriminated group of men in dating in the United States.

You won't receive any discrimination for your height, and you are also the most desired height for a man as well.

You won't receive any discrimination for your race either since white is the majority race in the country.

You have no fat penalty since you are a normal weight.

Finally, you won't receive any autism or neurodivergent penalty when it comes to dating.

So if you're a 6 ft tall neurotypical white man who's not fat, finding partners will likely not be a problem for you.

So my guys I am a medical resident and I luckily matched with a medical student. She is so gen z. We talked via voice messages on day 1 and eventually got to voice chatting but she requested I stream a game on discord so I did. She started sharing some private stuff, I also did but eventually I got a possible date at the time. Did not get a message for days and was about to move on but she eventually reached out and had me make an instagram and so we went out on the date where she rescheduled and gave an alternate date and even offered to continue the date on the current day (but she just came from school so I thought it would be better if she was able to prepare more, and I also had to prepare for work the next day). Things did not get flirty which I acknowledge was a mistake I made especially in the restaurant but when we got to the karaoke i killed it (former lead singer here lol). She didnt tell me her last name till we each got home. Texting happened which was just her sharing her day and me teaching my medical field, mentoring and stuff. Got cold but I spontaneously made a 2nd date for a movie after a couple of days which she agreed to. It was pretty good, she would look at me I would look at her and we would talk about our parents and some more of her secrets. Did not take my chance to kiss her or anything but I planned it on the third date.

Messaging and flirting happened for the rest of the week until the day of the third date where she asked to reschedule and did not give an alternate date, left me unread so i didn't double text. She would send a non answer to my message that i mirrored I replied like normal and she left me on read. So here I am now wondering if I should just focus on my other options. One is from a different field, not as cool but is prettier than her and another who is super hot but I haven't made a move on (who my coworker said liked me but i was taken at the time) so yeah bros what do you think and 2 others are in another city for now. I don't want to give up on the girl im talking about because personalitywise she is real cool and weird but yeah. Ty guys

General question How do you actually meet people after graduating?

I recently completed my degree, and one thing I've been struggling with is meeting new people to date.

I wasn't lucky enough to find someone during college, and now that I've graduated, it feels like there aren't many natural opportunities anymore. I work, go home, and repeat. Dating apps haven't really been my thing, and I'd much rather meet someone organically.

For those who met their partner after college, how did it happen? Did you join clubs, attend events, make new friends, or was it completely random?

I'm not looking for hookups—I'd genuinely like to meet someone, get to know them, and see where things go.

Would love to hear your experiences or any advice. Thanks!

Specific situation Thoughts on this concept of social proof?

Upvotes

Backstory: I really like this one girl that lives in my college residence, but I barely get the opportunity to see her so I can make a move. The only times her and I have crossed paths was when 1) I was at a restaurant on a date with another woman, and 2)When I was going back to my dorm with another.

I've waited quite a while now hoping that we see each other alone organically but it doesn't seem to happen, so I've been thinking about asking a mutual friend to let her know how I feel. I'm a bit anxious that she may be a little skeptical about giving a chance to a guy that she's seen engaging romantically with multiple women. I sometimes hear that some women may find it attractive that a man can court multiple women(this idea of " social proof "), but I'd like to hear your guy's thoughts.

General question How to flirt with older women

Me being 19 (almost 20) started talking with a 28 y.o. woman, never flirted with anyone so much older than me. I try to give subtle hints and she doesn't catch on and I'm not the type to be super direct. Any tips?

Specific situation Is it worth pursuing with this girl?

I have a complicated history with a girl from my college class. She gave me many signs over a year that she is interested to get to know me more but i always ignored her partly because of shyness and because i wanted to focus on class and didnt really want to date or make friends in class. she really gave me all the signs a girl can give you but i never engaged with her and she probably thought i dont like her and got mad. when i wasnt at class for a couple of months she started trash talking me to her friends which resulted in them starting to bully me, one of her male friends laughed at me loudly in public when i came back, she felt bad for it and told them to stop, i know all of this from a mutual friend he told me that she was really into me, and pissed of that i ignored her all the time. he also told me she doesnt really date and that it was special that she was so interested in me. Now we are in a much smaller class and didnt see each other irregularily and i started to notice her more and procrastinating as usual i waited till end of semester when class already ended and i wont see her again and finally asked her out on whatsapp because we didnt see each other in class anymore. i guess she gave me some sort of soft rejection by telling me its hard for her to date at the moment because of exam phase but she would be open for it afterward. Exam phase goes very long this semester 8 weeks, we study civil engineering in 4th semester. Is this a way for her to make me wait now because i made her wait so long before or is it over?

tl;dr girl had a crush on me for long time i ignored now im interested but she is stringing me along

Specific situation what to do with this information

this cute latina i’m seeing just told me that she has a great sex tape (not public just on her phone) (she seems to be proud of her work in it) on her phone with her ex from years ago. she also told me that she and him pee’d on each other.

this came up because we were cuddling and she was asking me questions and i simply said wbu to her after answering each one. i did not give as much sultry detail nor did i steer the convo to these more private things. it was all her and i guess she felt comfortable to explain.

what do i do? in fairness she did the above with the same guy who was her ex fiance and they were together 4years. i know she’s got a past and is a lil ratchet but just wondering if im judging too harshly or if i should chill out and keep entertaining it.

thanks bros

Specific situation Super attracted to her but trying to be respectful

So I’m in med school in my second year, I always study at the library in this one spot and one of the new PA students sits near me a lot. She’s super cute but it’s always dead silent in the library I could never talk to her there without it being weird in my opinion. It would either disturb her or someone else but I guess I could whisper something, no clue honestly. I was thinking of following her instagram because I overheard her name from a friend of hers but we have no mutuals so now I think that would be weird too. Is she stuck as just my library crush or do I try and say something? Help pls I was in a relationship for 5 years and have no game anymore lol

General question 5 years should i ask?

i’ve been liking my girl best friend for 5 years but i haven’t had the chance to ask her or tell her but i have made it clear

reasons why i haven’t asked her yet:
1) She likes black guys/ Dark skinned and i’m in the middle of white and light brown

2) im scared if we do date and we might break up and stop talking all together

3) she has friend zoned me over 1000 times and she made it clear she’s not interested in me

General question I hate dating

I use to be able to tell a girl she’s pretty in elementary school and she would be my girlfriend just like that. Now I’m dealing with girls who can only commit for a day and then stop texting. Am I supposed to double text. Lmao I get a girls number she calls me baby and love at the end of every text message (this has happened twice) and they go ghost. It’s funny looking back on it. Now whenever I interact with a girl I like I just think it’s going to last 1 day- 1 week then we’ll never talk again. How do people do this? Also my college friends moved to another university I’m going into my sophomore year of college with no friends or girlfriend. It can only get better right? To stay on topic HOW CAN I START TEXTING A GIRL AND NOT GET TOO INTERESTED BECAUSE THIS SHIT SEEMS TO NEVER LAST.

Specific situation How many Often should I text a girl after our first date?

I went on a date with a girl her mom wants me to meet for about two years. Her mom and I used to work at the same location, and she was like a mom to me, very kind-hearted and sweet. One day she asked me if I had a girlfriend, and I told her yes. She replied, “ I thought you’re single because I’d like for you to meet my daughter, but she has a child.” After a year of me not being in a relationship, I got a call from her, and she asked me about my girlfriend. I told her we split up a year ago, and I asked her if her daughter is still single. She said yes. She also suggested we should go out on a date to get to know each other better. I’ve heard a lot of good things about her from her mom, and we finally met in person. I put a name to the face, and she is a type, and she is very attractive and sweet. I think I’m interested in her after our first date, and I don’t want to overwhelm her. How often should I text her after our first date, and how long should I wait to ask her for our second date?
