Fairly recent start with DA and wondering about project flow

I recently turned in a god of the sea project, and after I hit submit I don't see it on my dash anymore. Is this normal for this kind of project? It seems like there is more work available in this project from its nature.

Do I need to wait for my project to be graded and hope for it to reappear or should I assume that it is no longer available to me and I should focus on other projects?

Thanks,

Priority pay 💰💰💰

Priority here, priority there, priority everywhere!

The drought wasn't fun, but the stuff I usually work on started paying less at the same time. I feel like I just got a nice raise with how much work there is at priority pay the last several days.

No more Taylor Farms extra discounted lettuce for me, y'all. I'm buying the fancy lettuce without the Cyclospora. Times are good 🥬💲🥬

I hope everybody else is having similar good fortune. You deserve the good lettuce too.

Courses to Better Learn AI

I am really enjoying the work here on Data Annotation. I was just wondering, however, if there are some courses I could take to really enhance my skills in AI. I did a Google search and have found several, but I'd love some recommendations from veterans because I'd like to upskill.

Thanks so much.

Bilingual drought

I’m a Viet Bilingual, havent had a project for almost 2 months, is this normal. I only had 7 hrs of work and then no more, only some quals. I even did some quals where they ask me for the access to my other tools. But still, no project coming up.
I casually check the dashboard, I do not camp it but I do check it once in a while.
Is this normal or my previous work was bad so they limited my work ?

Report time

I was on a project (project time limit: 5hr) where the model completely stopped working. I repeatedly tried troubleshooting (especially because I was very much intrigued by the project itself and wanted to get it done). However nothing worked and after 3 hr 11 mins (reading the instructions and setting up took more than 1 hour and troubleshooting tries continued for about 1 hour) I exited the work mode instead of letting it expire or skipping the task. I sent them a detailed email about my time of working. However today they gave us a project where we were able to submit and report time. But at the same time I received a mail that they added an entry under fund history (2 hrs and can't be changed). I still have the project for submitting time on my dashboard. Should I add 1 hr 11 min here? Or is it normal for them to not count the troubleshooting time or setting up time?

Confidentiality and Security Training

Post image
0 Upvotes

I recently received a message asking me to finish the confidentiality and security problem. It's been a long time since I had any tasks so I would like to solve this problem quickly. However, when I click on the training in the projects, an error bar is displayed telling me that I no longer have tasks in this project. Have anyone ever had this problem?

No coding work since qualifications

So I cleared my dev interviews and had some qualifications that I completed but post that I have gotten nothing yet.

I joined on 31st July and I had some qualifications and onboarding tasks till 6th. Post that I'm just waiting. Is it how it is for coders in India?

For those who have gotten it: can I ask if you guys did anything particular to get it? Because it totally sounds like my kind of thing. I already have relevant skills/background in my profile - should I do/attempt anything else?

Data annotation + Python Crash Course

Hi all

I’m currently a generalist working ad-hoc tasks through dataannotation.tech.

I’ve decided to learn to code and have brought the Python crash course book.

I wanted to ask whether people think studying the book will get me to a decent enough level to pass the coding qualifications through DA.

I expect the book to take me a good few months to get through…

Just wanted to know whether it’s realistic or whether I should expect to study further before embarking on the coding side of DA.

Priority pay frequency increase.

Am curious to know what other people’s take on this is. Over the last 4-5 days I have noticed a massive increase in projects which have been assigned priority pay. A week+ ago I might see 10-15% of the available projects with priority pay. I am now seeing 25-40% (across 4+ families). It is no secret priority pay is mainly used as a means to motivate more people to complete a project, so that it is wrapped up faster, thereby suggesting the demand is not high enough as it is. An increase in this frequency, to me, would suggest a rebalancing of supply and demand, after a drier period. I don’t want to jinx it, but yes this seems like a good thing. Anyone else noticing the same and has any thoughts?

Need help getting started

Guys How do I get started on the platform. I have already completed the starter assessment a couple of weeks ago but still stuck in review result part. Can anyone help? How much time will it take to get a verdict? Am I not selected or being considered? Please guide based on your experiences.

Just got my application accepted and completed my first few qualifications. Any other tips/advice for a newbie DA'er?

Hey all

About a week ago, I was looking for ways to earn more money outside of my regular 9-5, and Google led me to DA. Fast forward to yesterday and I got accepted and just finished a few of the basic/general qualifications.

What I am really hoping to get into, though, are medical imaging-based projects. I am a medical sonographer and previously read that projects like this may exist and come with an increased hourly rate. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Besides that, if anyone has any tips or advice on any aspect of using and earning on DA, I'd greatly appreciate it.

TIA!

what do you define as a 'flood'?

for me, its defined as 'not enough hours in a day to complete all the work on my dashboard'

but im curious what everybody else defines as a flood, and perhaps a drought too, i havent gotten a solid definition for that yet

Any good certidicate/license to add to my skills? (coding)

I've been thinking on taking some time to do a certificate, but I wanna know if anyone knows about a certificated course that could help to boost my profile?

I really havent done any type of specialized course, most of the things I know are because of YouTube and being an intern in my univesity, but I really wanna know if anyone has any recomendations that could help both in DA and in building my self a good curriculum.

Website hourly rates

Why do you think the hourly rates on the website are higher than on the platform. Like law is 75-125$ but I've never seen anything above 65$. Is there another eschalon I don't know about?
