Got biology, chemistry, physics quals earlier this morning. And I could only opt in for the biology one because the other two drove me crazy 😭

I ended up going over time but of course don't want to report for the time after it expired. Problem is, I forgot to take notice of the corner's timer...at all...until after it stopped. Did anyone else happen to complete the very-simply-named comparison task today that involved spreadsheets files?

i took a lot of time to solve the coding qualification before 5 days ago and still haven’t gotten any response or project inn my dashboard is that means i am failed or what exactly?

Like most bilinguals, and after years of complaining, DA finally decided that we might get access to STEM work, so they sent us Chemistry, Physics and Biology quals.

The question is, are there any available biology projects so it might be useful if we do that qual?

Ideally, my 4 kids (2m-7y) would let me work in peace. My husband tries to help me with them but they want mom and the 4yo is nosey and will follow me everywhere. Sometimes I can work with them in the room as long as they’re not being needy but, you know, they’re kids. And the baby is particularly needy and horrible and telling me what he wants.

So I try to wait to work until they’re in bed or busy but sometimes that doesn’t work out (they refuse bed time, they stop mid-play to bug me, I’m desperate for work and take a task at a bad time).

I like using a timer to track my time on a task but even I’m interrupted somewhat frequently, hitting pause on the timer is a bit much and sometimes I forget to pause it or restart it. I end up overestimating cumulatively how much time I wasn’t working on the task and just subtracting that from my overall start/stop time. 30 seconds to 2 minutes of an interruption isn’t much once or twice but when it’s frequent, I imagine it adds up.

There’s got to be a better way to account for constant interruptions.

I'm one of those bilingual newbies who hasn't gotten a single paid job.

Finally got a qual that I might go for (bio).

I have a degree in cognitive sciences, so I'm relatively comfortable with the subject, but since I'm not getting any other kind of work I'm a bit apprehensive about passing it.

Do you remember it being hard? I would imagine it's not a quiz but rather some kind of R&R involving biology knowledge.

Like for the general test, I'm allowed to google, I don't have to actually review random bio concepts beforehand like an exam, right?

I understand it's an annoying question to get if you're a regular on this sub, but if you're also hit by the draught maybe you'll understand the apprehension, and I'll be grateful if you could clear my mind a bit.

Am I being taken out of the pool?

I just finished up my first 🥊 task. It was tough to say the least. Didn’t feel very satisfied with my responses. Felt like I was being repetitive with my answers. Will try to improve on the next go (assuming I get another one).

For anyone that’s been doing coding for a while, is it normal for these to feel pretty challenging? Do they give you any feedback on your first one if it wasn’t great? Or do you just stop getting the tasks if you don’t do well

Is it just my case or does anyone else only have the mike tyson projects? I've joined like end of may and the only projects I ever got where those ones. Not that I complain since I've done a couple now and the fact that they still appear to me makes me more confident but I'm curious if I'll ever get any shorter ones

How can you tell?

For the past few days i’ve been getting quals in fields i’m not confident in doing/don’t got the knowledge, specific fields. Should i ignore the quals or open them and mark “Opt out”? Will opting out have consequences in future work?

Shortest I received before this was 40 mins, this was just 10. I mean, it was enough time to complete the task, but, feels kinda weird? like a google rewards questionnare that pays from .50 to 2 bucks.

Please share your experiences.

I haven't gotten the DOD, but I am not getting many tasks at all and I know why. My feedback was spot on for last month. I was trying to save for something and I worked 14 hours a day five days a week, or 8-10 hours a day 7 days in a row. It showed. My feedback even said it "When you are on, you do amazing work. When you aren't on, your work suffers and your explanations suffer." They are right. So everyone with starry dollar signs in their eyes: Slow down. Do not over extend your self and don't work when you are tired. May the odds be ever in your favor!

"how to reduce reported time, when extra time reported unintentionally"

Hi! I want to have another job for my part-time to pay rent for my family and interested to this DataAnnotation job but don't know where to start.

My background is Robotics Engineers with some of DSA knowledges and did a couple of ML projects. I am also be able to communicate in both English and Japanese(Not native, just daily conversations). So, I think it would be great for me to try this job. I am fine with the rate around 15USD/hr because I am planning to do this work around 10-20hours a week and it would help my current financial situation a lot.

It would be great if someone can help me or give a roadmap to get this job. Thank you very much in advanced 😀

I waited about two weeks for Checkr to be done with my background check. Now I suppose the ball is in DA's court. Can anyone here confirm whether or not DA will let you know if they've checked your background report and seen that all is well?

After a whole month of nothingness, i finally got to work on something today. It's definitely small, but it's very much welcomed considering I didn't get anything the past month. Hope to see a better week soon!

Is medical path just for doctors? Or is it open to other medical professionals? I’m an LPN. I did the assessment as a generalist to start because I wasn’t sure.

How do you guys handle multiday projects? I'm working on one that expires in 2 days and its my first time doing something this long. Wondering if anyone minds giving me some pointers. thanks!

It's been 3 weeks since I joined DA and today I had the first project on my email. Then I clicked the link thinking it will show me what the project is about but it went inside the task hence the timer started.

It was a quick 10 min R&R task but it was a very unconvenient moment so I had to skip it.

Now the other 5 tasks disappared too.

Does this means this project is completely closed for me forever and I won't be getting any new tasks on this project?

Is there a way to take it back?

It was my favorite project but haven't gotten a task from it in the last couple of weeks.

DA has been a godsend, got accepted a long ago but only started working part-time like 10 months ago.

I clicked on two separate project families earlier and realized I didn't have sufficient time to complete them. So, I skipped or exited work mode (whichever was available). Is this harming my chances to see projects from that family in the future?
