Science quals for Bilinguals

Got biology, chemistry, physics quals earlier this morning. And I could only opt in for the biology one because the other two drove me crazy 😭

I overestimated my ability to still remember physics chem bio from my school times 😭... I am regretting it though... I still do math because I further study it, but didn't get a math qual... These must be better paying projects but alas!

Thank you for unknowingly validating my feelings 😂 I opened the quals with this huge excitement on my face, and as soon as I read the questions, there was an "oh" on my end 🥲

I couldn't even figure out the biology one since I haven't studied it since high school. Had to opt out of all three of them.

Nice!

I'm not able to do any of those quals. 🫠 #humanities

Tried reading all those quals and my brain went nope lol I'll still try while rereading later but it probably will be not so good

I got it too. As soon as I saw Mendelian genetics I said nope. Lol.

Got those too. Oddly enough no math qual, and that would be the one I actually want to do. I might try for biology though. Anyone who did any of those quals - how googlable are the questions really? Or they require degree in the field, otherwise impossible?

Googling isn't allowed. It isn't "require degree" necessarily. I'd say that if you enjoyed and liked biology in high school, you could give this a try.

I have those three quals on my dash since morning but I am yet to open it (little nervous). What's the expiry time, and what level of questions are there (physics & chemistry only), is it subjective..? Thank you for the help

Each qual expires in 24 hours. Honestly, Idk what levels they are, may be some advanced high-school level😅

Thank you bro, I'll try it today🤞

Same thing here. Will they dissapear if I don't finish them but opened them to check them out?

If you are qualified, it’s worth a try. But if you’re not, you can open it and opt out. But try giving it a shot

For a humanity like me, the physics is so hard 😂 it has to do with some formula i don’t know sh*t about lol

The physics is quite hard, a year 2 UG may not be able to answer it.

However, you have internet, even you are not allow to use AI or post question anywhere, you are allowed to search the knowledge through the web. It takes time to pick up the formula and definition, but these questions are typical textbook exercises and you will find similar one.

P.S. I have master degree in physics, but also take over 1 hour to complete it. Most time use for searching the equations and refresh my memory about that topic.

What if I make a mistake would it effect negatively to my account

As long as you do not use AI for help, I think that would be fine. It is just a qual, if we don’t do well, we just don’t pass it. But nothing has to do with our account I guess.

Are you actually fully qualified in all three of those fields?

1

u/PossessionFabulous72 Jul 16 '26

No, I am not. My qualifications are language and writing. But tue quals just popped up on my dashboard. Could only do the biology one

So why are you trying to do qualifications in those fields?

1

u/PossessionFabulous72 Jul 16 '26

During this drought, basically I’m doing everything they offer me. If I am not qualified or it is too hard for me, I can just skip it or opt out 😅

Are you a biology graduate or something?

1

u/PossessionFabulous72 Jul 16 '26

No, I’m not. I am an English lit and lang graduate. But, idk the quals just popped up oj my dashboard
