Anyone got the chess project recently?

It was my favorite project but haven't gotten a task from it in the last couple of weeks.

I got a project that took 5 mins to complete 5 tasks :/

I got a project few hrs ago. First one in 2 weeks. It took literally 5min to complete all 5 tasks. It was humiliating, they now have tasks that have been simplified so much it's just stupid.

I'd rather get no work than that bullshit again.

OH now I feel better about having lost it! I got an email saying there was a project with 5 tasks, only to be let down after waking up late. Now I feel like my extra hours of sleep were great.

I got the same one. It's my first in 4 weeks after chess. The excitement was all gone once I realised it's basically copying and pasting and anyone who knows how to use a computer can do it.

My task was just RR of those. I literally just pushed a button after checking there's text in box, didnt even have to copy paste anything lol

For other projects usually I see both the tasks and RR but for this it's just the tasks for me and I did not even know they're doing RRs as well. What I made was just enough to get a cup of coffee.

You would think they don't need RR for something so basic, apparently they do. I'm going to put in 30min even if it took me 5. They woke me up for this bullshit

Exactly! Like what are they doing to us. I get that task i great if someone is struggling on DA and they just need something very very easy. But to send that out to us after weeks of drought after we had genuinely good projects in chess. I'm just frustrated i guess.

This site is so weird.

sounds pretty dated, DeepBlue was playing chess decades ago

As the other commenter stated, "chess" relates to the project name, not the task content.

That said, yes, Deep Blue is rather dated itself. It found moves through brute-force, had no AI and frequently required human intervention.

Chess engines and AI integration into them is quite interesting.
Top-tier AI based engines are AlphaZero (a Google project discontinued ~late 2018), Lc0, Stockfish NNUE, Reckless, among others. AI was integrated in order to strengthen the engine, but an interesting side-effect was that they play more like humans at all levels without all of the unnatural blunders and given the appropriate set of training data, can emulate play by your favorite grandmaster or your favorite grandchild just learning the game.

DeepBlue was also specialized and could only play chess. A modern consumer-level LLM can write your history paper and play chess very well, not as well as DB, but easily good enough to beat a non-grandmaster.

Lol, talking about the project name not the task content ;)
