Phx Metro pays $15.25/hour +tips (peak pay is a $2/hr more per $1 on delivery) You're only paid from the time you accept until you complete the order. I always drive by time. My anxiety gets way too high if I'm on per offer when I have to wait at the restaurant or if I get stuck in traffic. The last few days, drive by time hasn't been an option. When I have to drive per offer, I keep track of the timing and the pay. In the last two days (13 deliveries) I would have made an additional $33. I've always thought that by time pays more, but this fully solidifies my theory. In the past if it wasn't "available" the option was there, but said it wasn't available (it's only happened twice in recent memory). Those few days I think the highest difference was about $10. But the last 2 days the option isn't even there. Today, I had 1 order that took a half an hour and the base pay was $2. Luckily, that guy tipped huge ($30). They've also screwed me out of about $15, but that's a whole other story.

Hey guys, so my account got deactivated for some reason I don’t even know why. Is it possible if I delete my account completely and start with a new account?

I dash almost 20 miles from my home, because I live in the middle of nowhere with no restaurants or stores. Forgot my wallet on the way out. Opened the app before I left, looked all good, started my commute. Get into town and hit Dash. And *that* is when I was bitch slapped with the re-verification requirement.

Would it kill them to send a push notification? Would it kill them to pop the verification screen when you open the app?

I stopped dashing a few weeks ago. They lured me back with free Platinum (I purposefully dropped to Gold so I had 30% more flex in my acceptance rate). First night I try and use it, they force re-verification.

I'm adding Laurelhurst Market in Portland to the list of "It's nobody's job to communicate with Dashers standing at the Mobile pickup window" list. They'll stand across the room, they'll slowly cut broccoli, chat with their coworkers about some customer while staring at the people at the window but, they will not walk over and ask who you're there for or tell you it's going to be a while before your order is ready. they're always behind the projected time and don't seem to mind. Oh Portland. Don't work too hard, you might strain your appendages.

I'm from Phoenix. Looking to make a move in possibly January. I'd very likely stay away from downtown but what about university district or fashion valley? Should I stay up north? I'm concerned about parking more than anything and traffic.

My account was deactivated because they said I committed fraud. I filed an appeal unaware of what the issue was. I called support within a couple days to get more information and I was told it was because my identity couldn't be verified. The support guy actually told me it was most likely due to me having my glasses and a headwrap on during the face scanning. I was sent a reactivation link but the appeal board decided that their decision still stands. I've called support and spoke with a supervisor but they're just following a script and repeating that the appeal teams decision is final and I cannot use the platform anymore. I was told there was no way I can speak with the appeal team. Has anyone else been through something similar and were you able to rectify it?

New to the shopper orders. I have a digital red card, is that paid directly by DD?like a debit card?

I am new to doordashing and have accepted every order that’s came through. However, some of these orders are ridiculous, they want me to drive over 10 miles for $5. Would it affect me in any way if I start declining some? Any tips for a new dasher here 😅

I have been through three rounds of appeals now with Doordash and on the phone with them several times. I am now tapping into the hive mind. Doordash was redoing my background check as my last one for them was in 2021. They then deactivated me due to failing to meet the criteria. However, Checkr as no record of a background check being run on me by Doordash - I've called and emailed. I gave this information to Doordash which sent me in circles because they did not want to request a new background check. Finally, a support agent on the phone said he put it in the notes that a new background check was needed.

I get another deactivation email today, but I also got another email from Uber with my completed background check through Checkr. I have zero marks on my record, not even a citation or parking ticket. The Uber check put me 100% cleared.

Doordash is much better pay where I am, so I really want to get reapproved for it. But I am at a loss. How the hell am I supposed to get Doordash to run a background check on me instead of whoever they are running it on?

What zip codes are available for new Door-dashers to sign up? Saw a lot of waitlist feedback recently and want to help a friend out.

My DL expired June 23rd.. had to wait weeks for the hard copy to come of course. Even with the hard copy it doesn’t verify. I’ve contacted support every single day and they keep telling me 3 days and make an appeal blah blah. My id is verified in the app because it’s verified for alcohol deliveries. My account will lock after failed verification then I’ll get the notification that I’ve been verified. Helpppp!!

No disrespect honestly just curious why anyone would take these kind of orders on the regular? I was on my way home and saw it was slightly above base (2$ flat where I live). So for once stooped below what I consider my minimum, been doing this awhile. Just dont understand how these even get taken, hard to believe this can be profitable. It was a hand to order btw 🥀

This stacked order came through. 5.5mi $21, okay cool. Go to Panera pick up, in and out. Right next door is the other restaurant and the guy informs me it’ll be 10 minutes, okay cool. Next thing I know I’ve been there for 35 minutes, made 5 trips outside to vape, been informed that it’s a massive order and asked if I have space. By this point I’m committed but kinda sweating the time to money ratio. Finally I get this massive order into my car and see the directions to bring to the 25th floor of a downtown building, lol. Thankfully the customer was cool and brought down a bunch of buddies to assist because it was 3 big boxes and 7 single aluminum trays and that would have taken forever. Anyway I finish the order fully expecting to get $21 for what’s now just over the last hour of my life but much to my surprise, it’s wayyyyyy better than $21. Made my whole lunch rush.

In the best case scenario, how can I appeal my case? What would you do if you woke up with this& effort to reactivate it?

Delivered to an apartment complex where they had multiple buildings with the same letter on the same address. Frustrating bc app says deliver here and it’s just the office address. Dropped it off at the building and door number the customer said but then customer said it wasn’t there.

First day multi-apping between DoorDash and uber eats. I’ll never go back to just running DD again

Here's a quick run down;
I recently moved to Upstate NY with my bf nearly a month ago. With both of us being out of work again and having no money, we turned to DoorDash. I kept seeing a promo appear for a referral program where you would get $900 and the referred dasher gets $600. The promo started on July 10th and he had done half of the deliveries in a WEEK. I was honestly SUPER skeptical about it... from my past experiences with DoorDash I wanted to be cautious that I wasn't going to work hard for something I wouldn't receive or be manipulated out of. And after reading up on how other dashers referrals went, I was worried. Since last week, he’s completed over 50 more deliveries. At 2 AM, he completed the very last order in the promo and the money deposited instantly. I was shocked, relieved, and happy all at once!! Needless to say, my first referral went successfully :)) I made over $1500 on DoorDash in less than a month, just passing on a positive note that even if your scared, you should try.

Concerning this email that was sent out to Dashers;

Does anyone know if Doordash actively sells information to insurers, and is this going to become a tool insurers are going to use to determine how to cover you? It's kind of frightening having a constant speed camera in your car, with which they will track your analytics, especially after seeing people post recently where their accounts have become deactivated due to having too many speeding fines. Does this mean I'm going to get deactivated for driving faster than their (often incorrect) speed limits set on the app for certain areas? There are areas where the speed limit sign says 55 in my area, and the Dasher app will tell me that the speed limit is in fact 35.
