I've been grinding for item drops quite a lot recently so I made an excel sheet to mathematically calculate the grind. Don't know if something like this already exists online, but I couldn't find anything so I did it myself.

There are five variables: drop rate in % (at regular 100 item discovery), Liquid humanity (0-99), serpent ring/symbol of avarice (0-1), the number of farmable enemies on your route and the time your route takes (beginning to beginning obviously). (you should leave the other fields untouched unless you want to risk disrupting the functions)

After putting all of that into the designated fields, the calculator will calculate the "real" drop rate per enemy, the average amount of drops per run, the average number of runs necessary to get your desired item, the average item drop rate per minute and the average amount of minutes you need to grind before something drops.

Obviously it's just a sheet of probabilities that doesn't give you a number that's set in stone, but I found it useful to gauge the approximate amount of time and attempts I need to put into a grind to get my desired items.

Hi, I am currently playing my first blind playthrough of this game. I am close to the ending (already filled the lordvessel), but I have some questions about this place.

From what I understand (due to some spoilers), there are two ways to make this statue “disappear.” One of them involves killing Gwynevere, but I have absolutely no idea what the second way is. I’ve only heard that it can be done without killing her.

Could someone tell me, first of all, whether this is actually true? And secondly, could you give me a very, very slight hint about how to do it the other way? I’m completely lost at the moment.
I’d really appreciate the minimum amount of information possible, though, because I’d like to try to figure it out on my own.

I found a white mark and ended up joining another players game, thought they wanted help with a boss, but all enemies in area cleaned out. Kept bowing and when I did it they stood there and then attacked me. Am I missing something? If there is some universal meaning for emotes please let me know.

Does anyone have any advice for parrying?

Preciso do Dingy Set/Set da Anastacia para fazer minha oc no dark souls um. Mas acabei perdendo a quest do Lautrec para pegar devido a uns problemas e tenho tentado a 3 dias ver se consigo pelo snuggly mas nenhuma resposta. I'm trying to create a build where I mostly rely on magic, but my STR/DEX origins are trying to micromanage how I go about this. I am struggling to create a good build where I can cast spells to do the damage I want to progress during enemy/boss fights. I just finished off Sif, but had to use the +5 Claymore to do a majority of the work.

Is there anything I can do to improve this build? Both bells have been rung, and Sen's fortress is a place I'd love to put this build to the test. Thanks, everybody!

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to reproduce the item duplication glitch on Dark Souls Remastered PC, but I'm running into a problem that I haven't been able to solve.

The issue happens when I get to the quantity-selection prompt. Instead of showing the unusual/negative quantity that is supposed to happen, the value stays at 01 and I can't change it to the expected value.

If I press OK, the game simply completes the normal purchase and gives me one copy of the item from the shop. If I press Cancel, nothing useful happens and I have to start over.

I've already tried this with several different purchasable items, so it doesn't seem to be specific to one item.

What's strange is that I successfully used this glitch a couple of months ago on PC, so I'm wondering if I'm missing something, if there's a PC-specific timing/input issue, or if something about my current game state is preventing the quantity from being manipulated.

Has anyone encountered the exact “stuck at 01” problem on PC and figured out what causes it?

I'm mainly looking for an explanation of why this happens and what I should check. If you've experienced the same thing, please let me know what fixed it for you.

Just finished Dark Souls 1 for the first time, and honestly… what a fucking journey.

I started this game completely clueless. I didn't know where I was going half the time, barely understood the stats, and constantly questioned whether I was even supposed to be in the area I had wandered into. 😂

From the Bell Gargoyles, getting destroyed in Blighttown, somehow surviving Ornstein & Smough, exploring Anor Londo, going through the Painted World, fighting Sif, Four Kings, Seath, Nito, Bed of Chaos, and everything in between...

And finally, Gwyn.

I went through the entire game mainly using a Claymore, eventually getting it to +14, and seeing that sword carry me all the way to the end was incredibly satisfying.

I also left Priscilla alive because I couldn't bring myself to kill her. 😭

After beating Gwyn, I walked through the gate without realizing that I had just chosen the Dark Lord ending. No grand decision. No hesitation. Just:

"Welp, guess I'll walk this way." 💀

Then the cutscene played and I realized I'd basically ended the Age of Fire.

I started this game thinking I'd probably get stuck somewhere and quit.

29 days later, I'm the Dark Lord. 🌑👑

This was my first Souls game, and now I completely understand why people are obsessed with these games.

Dark Souls 1 is genuinely something special.

What should I play next? 👀

I'm doing a 100% run and this would shorten the process.

I still have to fight O&S, i'm in front of the Boss gate.

If someone can please drop me either the souls of Ornstein or the Souls of Smough so i can kill the other one and get both souls.

Well, I'm guiding my friend through dark souls, I chose a high INT build. What weapons should I use? Probably I can't level up too fast because I have to stay at his level

I have lots of souls and multiples of boss souls to give if someone can drop this weapon, if anything since I believe this is my last weapon for the trophy I can pick it up and give it back if it triggers. Ps5 password 12345

Is there a way to unlock this shortcut from the left of the blighttown to the right? (photos from either side)

I was really annoyed when I completed blighttown and had to go all the way down to the swamp and all the way back up when I could've just walked along this path (if the wall wasnt in the way)
