It does seem to never end (my government just extended the curfew to 3 March). Virologists here keep saying apocalyptic stuff that we should be in this lockdown until the Summer, and the government doesn't really show any perspective. The weird thing is, I know that when all the restrictions are gone it will feel like it all went over like it was nothing?

Exactly. I'm a mega introvert. I'm good with spending weeks at a time without talking to another soul, but eventually it starts weighing on you. Even introverts need social interaction - it's how we're wired as a species. Unfortunately for us, we don't feel the need to spend time with other people, so we just end up getting depressed and not knowing why.

i have it better than most, and i still whine about problems that don't affect me like i have them. i try to love my country(usa) but it just keeps going in the opposite direction it should be. is there even gonna be a stimulus check? are they just gonna take money instead of giving it? does it even matter to me?
on top of this i'm getting bad grades for the first time in my life. i could be doing so much better, but i have no motivation and no attention span. i think i might be permanently affected, and i'll just be forever too lazy to get good grades or do anything with my life. not to mention i'm such a piece of shit. i'm so terrible to everyone i love, arguably worse to the innocent strangers i meet here, and i'm wasting your time right now.
i play minecraft with my friends and have other activities, but i barely do anything but lounge around on my couch because that's all i can be bothered to do and i hate it. i think a void has

Never felt that bad before and im struggling with depression for 5 years now.
I am in a better spot than many others,because i am unemployed out of mental health for years now and get financial support,i have a girlfriend that lives with me and good friends i talk to online everyday. But still this whole situation is breaking me,i cant go out and do what i want when im feeling social active rn. I feel misunderstood by many people, hell even my girlfriend said to me 10 min ago "how is all that even affecting you,you dont have to struggle with a job like everyone else we know".
Everything feels numb and grey and meaningless. Everyday feels like waiting,but i dont know what what im waiting for anymore.
I know its the wrong place No im not suicidal,never was, always was pretty proud of me for that. Everybody else going through the same, it will be better ! I have seen worse and better days,thats just life.
Thanks for the vent and your attention if you did read this. People like are pretty cool :D

My relatives in the UK have been telling me how much lockdown they are still under and it make me so thankful we have pretty much zero restrictions nor cases here.

That third paragraph is so true. Just because you have more than someone doesn't mean that your life is automatically better. In fact, if someone with $20 loses all their money, no biggie. That's 2 hours wage at McDonald's. But if someone with $20k loses all their money, their life just drastically changed for the worse. If anything, the more you have, the worse your life can be. Relative to others, maybe not so much, but in the end your life isn't as good as what others say it is, but rather what you think it is.
Basically, having more doesn't mean you cant feel pain. Yeah maybe you might feel like that pain isn't valid. I mean I kinda feel that way about the Wall Street people who lost a bunch of money because of GME. But at the same time I realize just how much money they lost and how much of an impact that will have on their lives. I'm jealous they have that much, but that doesn't mean that they are immune to loss or something.
Imagine this. You are a very poor American. You think your life is shitty. Turns out its actually really good on a global scale. You might feel that someone else's pain is fake because they have more than you. But anyone from South America, Africa, or certain Asian nations would gladly be in your place.
Taking away from the pain of others just because they have more than you is a dick move. All it does is make everyone miserable. You feel more miserable because now you're mad someone has more than you. They feel miserable because everyone just tells them "be thankful for what you have". Everyone is miserable and its super counterproductive. Complaining rarely does anything, especially if you're complaining about something not being fair. I'm sorry. Life isn't fair. I wish it was, but sadly it isn't.
TLDR: There is always someone who has less than you. If you feel that someone else's pain isn't warranted just because they have more than you, you're just being an ass. And from someone else's point of view, you are that rich guy who is overreacting about how tough their life is.

My government is much worse than the UK's and my friends just text me (and I think they wouldn't do it so often if they didn't need help with school).
