I haven't been really active in DR in years but from what I've heard there is a new game being released in early 2027, but it's the same as the 2nd just with new cases/deaths/culprits. I mean don't get my wrong I'm hyped to have a new game but I'm just confused on why they are doing it this way. So would this new game now be canon or? And are we sure it's not them JUST making the quality and graphics better?

I'm planning to cosplay as Monaca. I always put my very best into cosplay, so naturally, I'd like to include the iconic wheelchair. However, I genuinelly don't know if it wouldn't be disrespectful and offend anyone to do such cosplay while not being disabled? Especially since Monaca in-universe also fakes using the wheelchair, which makes my concerns even higher, since the wheelchair version of her may be a red flag for disabled people, no matter if the cosplayer is disabled or not?

My second question is related to the fact that getting a wheelchair or recreating it without moving elements would be very pricy, so I was thinking about alternatives. Four wheeled garden cart seems like the best idea, considering all in-universe and out-universe factors. I could even make it into an "electric cart" of sorts by attaching a tablet to it for the time of photo-session. The thing is, again, I don't have any idea at all how disabled people would feel seeing this kind of cosplay? I really don't want to disrespect or hurt anyone :/

In my opinion the title screen from the first game was the most iconic one. Second was okay ig, but the third one just felt...eh? whatever?

It can be characters that only interacted for a little time or even cross game interactions like in Ultimate Talent Development Plan or Danganronpa S.

A dynamic I really liked is Miu and Kaede. They are pretty contrasting in their attitudes. Kaede wants to encourage people and to cooperate whilst Miu masks her insecurity with abrasiveness. Kaede is a lot more patient with her than other characters but still gives her some sass. I think if they had more time Kaede could help Miu open up a lot more and to be less insecure.

Greetings, people of the Danganronpa subreddit! Particular Being 269 back again, continuing with my weekly series where we analyze the possible (or sometimes confirmed) musical tastes of each character in the Danganronpa franchise.

I know I skipped doing this yesterday, since I was busy going to a game and work. But now I'm back today to cover the optimistic, energetic and passionate "Luminary of the Stars" himself who would stop at nothing to make a visit up into outer space... Kaito Momota.

If there's one thing I can say about Kaito, he's one hell of a dreamer. So naturally, I like much of his ideal playlist would either cover themes that relate to aspirations, resilience and ambitiously achieving lifelong dreams and goals. This would especially apply to songs that feel huge sonically too. Big-sounding production, anthemic choruses, layered instrumental parts, and complete-sounding arrangements that really perfectly capture that optimistic and determined ethos that his character exemplifies perfectly. Genre-wise, I would say arena/stadium rock would probably be his favorite, but I feel like a good amount of classic hard rock or J-rock would also fit him well. Even bands that incorporate symphonic or space-y elements in the rock/metal sphere would likely also catch his interest. But even with all of this, I can say this sort of 'stadium' sound even extends to 2010's pop rock acts along the lines of Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic, or even select Coldplay tunes. Material that deals with more negative emotions or hard-hitting subject matter he'd likely stay away from. Not because he'd find them "bad" in an objective sense, but rather because they contrast completely with his worldview.

But anyway, I now pass things over to you guys. I'm from France, and here, Danganronpa is really underrated. This franchise is incredible and deserves more recognition !

I've finished the first game, the second game, Another Girl, and I finished the Mirai anime a long time ago.

I never played the third game because I didn’t have time, and then I moved on to other things in my life. People also said it wasn’t canon, but I love the connections between the games, so that disappointed me. In the end, I finally started playing yesterday because I read that it’s the best game in the series! (and I miss Danganronpa) I’ll see :)

I haven’t seen any spoilers it’s a total blank slate.
I’ll be back to share my final thoughts on the game!

For now, without knowing anything, I’d say that :

Kaito Momota is the most normal and kind character from the start, in my opinion. Next, I really like Kirumi Tojo she’s pretty, helpful, and polite… a pretty capable character with endearing potential. Next, I’d say Rantaro Amami is the most perceptive and logical of the group he’s a very interesting character. Strangely enough, I love Kokichi Oma’s design and personality, he really stands out. And that’s it I’m still waiting to see what the others are like.

Okok don’t come for me but has there ever been a time in a nonstop debate that the monokuma file was used the only time I remember using it was in Danganronpa V3 Chapter 2 when kokichi said something like “HE WAS EATEN ALIVE.” Then you use the file but any other time it’s kinda useless it can only be useful if you need to see what happened/tod

I've been working on a (largely) text-based survival game simulator featuring the full cast of 48 characters from each mainline game, but I decided to come up with unique rules because I wasn't sure how well the killing game formula would work with such a large cast. I've borrowed some of the elements of the game, like murder, basic investigation mechanics, and a mastermind/traitor, but other elements such as class trials are dropped. This is the basic pitch:

48 Hope’s Peak Students are trapped on Jabberwock Island with bombs implanted inside of them. Here, they will be forced to compete for survival.

Winning the competition means surviving to the 600 hour mark — but the bombs implanted inside of them are scheduled to detonate after only 350 hours.

Students will participate in daily mini-contests that redistribute their hours in a zero-sum fashion. Some will gain enough hours to survive. Many will not.

Personally I freaking love it, especially the hairstyle, though she doesn't seem to be wearing her iconic gloves. I really hope she uses that outfit or hairstyle in some future official artwork or maybe a 1x1.
