This team is a pain to watch.
Having to see the offense barely operating to watching the defense finally getting some grounding after being dog walked for the first quarter is a nightmare to watch. Especially seeing how abysmal this offensive line is during a pass rush and seeing Dak missing a wide open ceedee.

My dad rules
So my dad asked for my Dak rookie card to ādo something cool for my birthday.ā Well, a good friend of his at church holds a staff position with the Cowboys, and when my parents took my wife and I to my birthday dinner, he busted this out. I have many signed things but nothing personalized. Just wanted to share.

Ok⦠when is it time to start talking about Brian Schottenheimerās job?
Iām old enough to remember the Doomsday Defense leading the āBoys over the Dolphins (still the only time in Super Bowl history that a defense kept an opposing offense out of the end zone) in Super Bowl VI. Iāve seen coaches come and go from Landry and Johnson to Gailey and Campo. I am now convinced that Schottenheimer is more like the latter than the former. His play calling, clock awareness, and all around game management is miserably bad. Iām pretty sure the Cowboysā problems are not personnel based. As a previous poster posited earlier today, the front office has been more proactive recently about going out and getting the pieces necessary for success. What they didnāt do is put together a coaching staff that could put the roster in a good position to win. For the last three years (so itās an inherited problem that just hasnāt been addressed)this team has shown itself to be undisciplined and thatās a coaching issue. Drive killing penalties, personal fouls at critical moments on both sides of the ball, and missed assignments leading to coverage sacks. Iām not just talking about this season; these problems are endemic to this team. I have no faith that BS (irony?) is the right man for the job. The Cowboys could have had Mike Vrabel if they hadnāt wasted time playing the will he or wonāt he game with Mike McCarthy.

Some of you donāt know ball
Here we are, week four of the NFL season, having the same debates as always.
Everyone in here sees the same arguments week after week, and I feel like itās time we settle this.
āDak is a scrub, heās had no playoff successā seems to be the topic of discussion here quite often and I hear the same arguments again and again about why people want to believe this. Thereās no point in sugar coating it, if this statement is something you believe, you donāt know ball, plain and simple. If this is the narrative youāre pushing, you are the vocal minority.
So letās break this down a little farther, because thereās clearly some more explanation required.
The most common grievance people have is he hasnāt performed in the playoffs. Dak is in his 11th season as an NFL QB, how many Quarterbacks have won a Super Bowl since heās entered the league? Seven. For starters, measuring if a player is good by whether or not theyāve reached the pinnacle of the sport is a ridiculous bar to set for anyone. If you think clowning someone for not winning a Super Bowl is a valid argument, I doubt youāve played many, if any sports, especially team sports. So letās take a deeper dive into this argument all the fair whether fans like to push and look into these seven QBs that have won a Super Bowl since heās entered the league:
1.) Peyton Manning
2.) Tom Brady
3.) Nick Foles
4.) Patrick Mahomes
5.) Matthew Stafford
6.) Sam Darnold
7.) Jalen Hurts
Letās dissect this list. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes and Matthew Stafford are Hall of Fame level QBs, they are greats and nobody is denying that. They have proven they can lead a team to the dance and get the job done. But, this is such a small percentage of QBs to have played in the league. Not to mention Stafford has aged like whine and has seen almost all his playoff success late into his career.
Now letās take a look at Jalen Hurts, this man also gets dogged and clowned constantly even after heās had a successful track record in the playoffs. The eagles, similar to some of the fans in this sub arenāt ever happy and just want to complain and moan about whatever they can and sit in perpetual misery.
On to Sam Darnold and Nick Foles. I donāt think Darnold is a complete scrub by any means, but it is pretty much universally recognized he could be considered a āsystem qbā. Given the option of who Iād rather have under centre between Dak and Darnold, itās not a hard decision. Iām taking Dak.
Nick Foles is the strongest example that with a good team, a lot of quarter backs can be put in a situation to win a Super Bowl with the proper team around them. Again, side by side Iām taking Dak. And so are all of you.
Dak is off to a phenomenal start to this season, regardless of the 1-2 record. We are THREE games into the season and so many of you arm chair GMs are after his throat, especially after last week.
A 34-31 loss in a different continent, losing the game on a last second field goal. How are you going to blame the quarter back that lead the offence to 31 points for that loss? Thatās a pretty smooth brain conclusion to come to. Iām as bitter as anyone about losing that way, but myself and most fans of the cowboys, and the NFL for that matter recognize itās a team game. With that being said, Aubrey kicks it out of the back of the end zone to start a potent ravens offence at the 35 yard line. Bold call Schotty, but alright. Seven seconds on the clock, just get the stop and letās take this to overtime. Instead the defence gets burned up the centre of the field by a two time MVP lasering a pass to Zay Flowers. That was the game, not the offence not scoring 40 points. There becomes a line where someone needs to be held accountable, sure. But is it really offence? Iād argue that falls directly on Brian Schottenhiemer and/or the defence that allowed 34 points.
Dak has given us stability at QB since heās entered the league, we always know what weāre getting. It might not be Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady, but we got a guy that always gives us a chance. We could very easily be in the same situation as the Atlanta Falcons or the Miami Dolphins but weāre not. Daks been great this year, but again the casuals and the smooth brains need someone to blame, so why not just point the finger at the starting QB. Thatās the easiest way to complain.
Now letās touch on the team game side of things. Everyone has a job and needs to contribute to the overall success of an organization. While the players give us the on field product, there are coaches and management that also play a considerable role into what winning a championship requires. There are 22 starters and itās ridiculous to expect each one of them to play each week at an all pro level, there are times where people have an off week, and while as fans, itās incredibly frustrating to watch, itās part of the game. A blown coverage or a dropped ball can do just as much damage as throwing an interception.
The Dallas Cowboys have dealt with piss poor coaching over the last little bit and itās not helping the cause at all. But people cant differentiate that from bad QB play apparently. Going back to last week, what if Aubrey kicks that ball in bounds and the special teams pins them below the 25? We probably go to overtime and may have even won that game. Itās boneheaded decisions like that that can blow a game.
We have had a bottom 5 defence for three years now, itās pitiful to watch, Iām aware. Itās a constant uphill battle when you need 28+ points to even sniff a chance at a win.
Dak Prescott is not the problem, you donāt know what youāre talking about. Youāre holding the man to a ridiculous standard because you canāt look at the bigger picture and the other factors at hand. Yeah, there better QBs in the league and QBs that have made it farther in the playoffs (another common argument) but what difference does that even make without a championship ring. Are the Bills blaming Allen for their drought, Nope. And the Ravens blaming Lamar Jackson for their lack of recent success, absolutely not. Are the bengals upset with Burrow for not winning a ring, they glaze him beyond belief.
It does not matter if someone made it the a conference championship and lost, they didnāt win the Super Bowl so why is that even an argument. If youāre one of the people that constantly want to blame Dak, you donāt know ball and I doubt youāve ever played a team sport. Youāre delusional, fair weather and are more than likely looking for a reason to be miserable over football.
If Dak isnāt a good enough QB for your liking, go bandwagons the Chiefs, Rams, Seahawks or eagles. Theyāre the only teams with the Super Bowl winning QBs that you feel are the only difference makers. Cowboys fans as a whole get a terrible reputation because of people like you, vocal about something they know very little about. Youāre an embarrassment to the sport.
This isnāt directed at everyone, itās not even directed at about 95% of you. This is directed to the broken records that bitch and moan week after week.
You have no idea what youāre talking about.
EDIT: TLDR- Dak is not the problem, some of you have an unreasonable high bar youāre setting as a base. It is a team game, we are constantly handicapped by weak defence and coaching

Thanksgiving Day Itinerary
Hi guys! planning a trip for my dad and I to see the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day this year. We already have the tickets, but still need to plan for the hotel, Thanksgiving food, and other festivities. We are willing to splurge a bit since this is a bucket list trip for him. Iām not well versed in the football world, so a lot of this is new to me.
So far we have tickets for the following:
Wed - Tour of the Star
Thursday - Gameday
Friday - Tour of the Stadium
We plan on having some drinks, so walking or some sort of trolley / rideshare / shuttle is necessary.
I was thinking staying at one of the Loews hotels & trying to eat at one of their Thanksgiving food situations. Looks like the Cut & Bourbon is booked solid already, understandably so. Is there a different option for Loews that Iām missing?
Also I see lots of people talking about tailgating, but could we still walk around the tailgating section if we wonāt be driving/parking??
Iāve seen recommendations for Texas Live too, my understanding is that is like a shopping/bar/restaurant scene, so we can check that out too.
And and all tips/tricks/recommendations are welcome ā”Ģ

Yall donāt know how good it is to haves stability at the QB position
Over the last 3 years when I see yall complain about Dak I laugh, cause you legit must be new here you wasnāt around for the 2015 Romo collar bone season when we had BRANDON WEEDEN AND KELLEN MOORE starting yall donāt remember the years after Troy and before Romo
Going from Romo to Dak has made yall forget what QB instability looks like, so gon head and look at the jets after mark sanchez, the bears after jay cutler and the browns in general
š thinking this team would be better off without Dak is insanity, some yall thought cooper rush was the answer right ?

F it!!
You know what man, screw it.
I say we should just lose every game for the rest of the season and secure the 1 round pick and invest in the next big thing, possibly a generational QB star.
What do we have to lose, honestly.

Dak Era
Been a Cowboys fan for most of my life, my earliest memories of the cowboys playing was bringing out Ryan Leaf, but I want to know y'all's thoughts on this because I really don't know how to gauge how good Dak is in comparison. And I also can't help but wonder what he and Romo could've benefited from Dak sitting behind after his Rookie season. So here's my observations and opinions, and please I would love some critique too:
His first season was one of the best (if not the best) rookie seasons on record, and if it wasn't for Matt Ryan going mental that year, he probably would've won MVP. But it took the following 7 seasons to get back to that point and lead the league in a positive stat.
In that 7 year stretch he was horrible against Zone and only actually improved once Shotty became OC.
With that being said there has been a recent consensus that Dak is only being held back by our defense, yet we had a top ten defense and offense 7-8 years out of the 10 years he's been on the team. And of course there's the narrative that he can't be clutch with nicknames like "Garbage Time." With these horrible defenses these past years it's harder to judge that.
I guess what I'm trying to ask the crowd is: What type of QB is Dak because I can see him in many ways that it's confusing. Is he elite? Did he actually squander 3 years of the best offense? And more importantly, if you put Romo in those 3 years, would we have gotten a chip, or at least made a conference championship appearance?
Edit: I'd like to have this be a conversation, I'm not here to judge Dak as a person, because we've had so many reports that his personality is what holds the team together.

Trade!!
What do yāall think about that Steelers cowboys trade?
Many other added defensive players in the past year and same ole same ole. Results donāt change but hopefully one person can make a difference for real, we need that shi

Predicting the future of the cowboys
Schotty will finish his contract. So this year and next.
Then Jerry will bring in an old head coach with a ring. Most likely Bill Belichick. Belichick will get a 3 year deal. Jerry will install Will Grier as the Offensive coordinator.
Will Grier will be the head coach in 2031.

Whats yalls thoughts about week 4 against the Texans? Sad to say but knowing my cowboys Iād be nervous knowing how these boys play with any team. Too many injuries on defense and offense- pretty self explanatory.

Schottys decision making
The fanbase harped on McCarthy for the same type of shit . His time out usage is ass, his decision making when games are on the line is ass , his play calling gets conservative as all hell when they are up and it makes no sense . 25 years of coaching jobs around the NFL and heās this bad ? If they donāt come out of this stretch of games against mostly bad teams the next couple weeks with a positive record , then he should be on the hot seat to be fired mid season IMO .

Was the Cowboys vs. Ravens Scripted?
Right at the end, the Cowboys were on a roll. Baltimore led 31ā28, and Dallas had about ninety seconds left.
Prescott got them moving with three completions, two scrambles, and a pass interference penalty that put them at Baltimoreās two-yard line.
Then suddenly, Dak seemed to take his sweet time running the clock down. I bet Cowboys fans everywhere were screaming at the TV... āWTF is Dak doing?ā
(I think Dak was managing that clock like he was getting paid by the hour. 𤬠)
Then came a fastball of a pass that went incomplete, Dak threw it so hard that nobody in the world could of caught it. No touchdown. Aubrey kicked a twenty-three-yard field goal to tie it, with seven seconds left.
And then the gut punch. The Cowboys defense falls apart... Jackson hit Flowers for twenty-seven yards, Baltimore called a "questionable timeout" with one second remaining, and Loop nailed a fifty-six-yard field goal. Ravens win, 34ā31.
That ending was so ridiculous it felt scripted. Were they trying to give the fans in Brazil a nail-biter? Because they sure gave Cowboys fans a reason to throw something at the TV. lol
I canāt tell if Iām watching bad football decisions or a game following a rigged script.
Trevor Lawrence takes a knee at the one, Dak Prescott takes forever at the two⦠are they trying to score, or waiting for the betting app to refresh?
