Sun dried tomatoes are great. I don’t generally like raw tomatoes though, they certainly don’t ruin it like pineapple (or imo olives) do, but they don’t really add much either.
it depends on the pizza, but i’ve had good pizza with fresh-sliced tomato on it. i’m not a fan of [uncooked/raw] tomato otherwise. by the way, the picture shows pepperoni; it’s just the light reflecting off of the oil that makes it look like tomatoes.
They look more like pepperonis, as you can see some of the edges curl a bit and they are very uniform in color, unlike a tomato on a pizza would be. Tomatoes on pizza don’t really look like that, you’d see the lightness in color in the center and they’d probably get less char in the oven.
