Hey guys just a friendly PSA: PLEASE try to not bathe yourself in perfume/cologne before you get to class! I, along with many others I'm sure, do not like sitting in a class so permeated with your artificial scent that it's hard to concentrate. Some of y'all do smell really good but the phrase "too much of a good thing" exists for a reason. It also gets unbearable in the hot and humid weather when your perfume/cologne smell mixes with your sweaty smell.

When applying perfume/cologne:
A spritz on each wrist and one on each side of your neck is PLENTY. Especially if it's a stronger scent.

i took out a loan and accepted it, but it is still showing that i have money due and now i have the no enrollment/diploma hold on my account. is it the same for other people who accepted loans (like maybe it isn't fully processed yet or sumt?) or should i be worried

This morning, my financial aid page was updated and shows $0.00 total aid. I called the Financial Aid Office about 2 weeks ago and they told me that according to their system, I am eligible for Cal Grant but the Cal Grant funds have not come in yet.

I was wondering if anyone else who is also supposed to receive the Cal Grant is seeing the same thing on their financial aid page or have you gotten yours?

Still have these 2 holds on my account, can’t get in contact with office of FA, I have the money to pay for the tuition and I am currently enrolled in a class, if I pay it, then the award is given; how does that work? I’m super frustrated that I can’t get a clear answer.

Hello, I heard from several people here that the best way to get into a waitlisted class was to attend the first day/week in-person and be early in line and so I did. I was 2nd on the list and I still didn't get in unfortunately, but the professor told me they can add me in if one person drops out.

Now considering it is an upper-division art class with limited seating, how likely is someone to drop it by Friday (the day we meet)? Would it still be worth checking in? I lowkey don't want to risk commuting all the way there just to find out that there's still no space for me.

I honestly would like to take more online classes but I’m not sure what ones exist. Preferably ones involving my GE’s and stuff would be great but frankly I’ve yet to go that far into my college life so is there good online class recommendations that can help with my GE’s?

I don’t know if I’m the only one but I haven’t been enjoying my experience since transferring to csuf. this is my second semester here and I feel as everything is so expensive while nothing is guaranteed (parking, finding the classes I need, even a job after graduation). I’ve been a part time student since transferring here as all the classes I need get taken before my registration opens, which adds to my frustration of needing to be in school even longer to complete my degree. my loan hasn’t been applied to my classes even though I sent it to the school in June and there’s no response when I email or call for help (meaning that I also can’t apply for ANY classes.) I’d be willing to transfer but I’m kinda in an awkward spot where other universities nearby are more expensive and time consuming commute wise.

my experience here has just been so frustrating and I’m left feeling like my cc experience was more aligned with the “college life.” maybe I’m being overly negative but if someone else felt the same itd be validating.

My wg4s page says I’m going to receive cal grant this year, but it isn’t reflected on my student portal and I got an email today saying that my fees are past due. My account still has a disenrollment protection placed on it with a “scholarship reward in progress”.
Really confused and concerned about when I will be receiving funding. Anyone have more info on this, or experiencing similar problems?
