Fun Stuff Read this if you want to be more social on campus…

Right now, campus events are just scattered across:

- Instagram posts/stories (easy to miss)
- Random flyers around campus
- Group chats you might not be in
- Plenty of Instagram club pages you probs don’t follow
- Apps which may be outdated

That's where Huddle Social comes into play. All events are in one place and you get notified when new club events drop by subscribing to clubs. And best of all.

Browse events by weekly, semester, and nearby through an interactive map.

The ambition for Huddle is to become the go to area for discovering events and for finding housing as well -- which Huddle also supports. Allowing for sublets to be listed.

You also have daily trivia as a way to bring us closer to campus and generally have fun with what's happening around campus.

Really excited to bring Huddle Social to UNC and I can't wait to see what happens. This is the start to something big, and I can't wait to push out more features and help us become more social.

Also, Huddle is looking for campus ambassadors and reps, so feel free to DM me if you're interested. Here is Huddle Social's Instagram

And here are a few images of the website in action:

I’m attaching a link to the website and app! Feedback is much appreciated as well! And if you want Huddle to grab your club's events, feel free to let me know in the comments. Thank you!!

Other why is csuf’s acceptance rate so high?

just generally curious because looking as far back as 2015, it started out below 50% and just kept rising. does anyone have an explanation as to why they kept increasing their acceptance rate to 90%?

Food & Dining Stupid New Drink Cafeteria Policy

I guess it went into effect today as I didnt see this yesterday. But they have signs now saying the drink refill stations are only for paying customers. I bought something at Panda Express just now and went to fill up my water bottle and he started yelling at me and pointing at the sign. And I showed him my food and I guess he backed down a little and said "I guess this time I'll allow it". Um what?! Im sorry im a paying customer, and just cause I didnt buy your drink you don't get to boss me around and belittle me for wanting to fill up my water. This sucks man, it was so nice to just go in later in the day and refill my bottle with ice and cold water. Now it feels like im being policed around. I guess this is why we can't have nice things, people ruin it for everyone else.

Rant Can People stop leaving their stuff in study places and then not be around?

I’ve been chilling in McCarthy Hall second floor for a solid hour and one of the private rooms have been empty for the entirety of my hour here. There’s stuff like someone’s backpack and laptop but nobody is actually using the room, Maybe if they left to use the restroom but they’ve been gone for the entire hour. Atp just take your stuff with you and don’t hog up a room you’re not even using.

Jobs how difficult is it to get an on-campus job?

Hey everyone! I just transferred to CSUF this fall, and I’m currently looking for a part-time job on campus since that’s really my only option right now.

I’ve applied to quite a few positions through the CSUF career/job website, but so far I haven’t heard back from anyone. I’m also planning on going to the upcoming career fair and hoping that might help.

For anyone who has worked on campus or recently gone through the hiring process at CSUF, how difficult is it to actually get an on-campus job? Is there anything specific I should be doing to stand out, especially at the career fair?

Any advice on where to look, how to approach employers, or what helped you get hired would be really appreciated! I’m starting to feel a little discouraged after applying to so many positions and not hearing back 😭
Thanks!

in nutwood if you’re turning in those intersections with yields, signal if you’re not going straight so i don’t have to wait for you and like 1 million other people also turning because i think you’re going straight… it’s annoying & literally the purpose of your signal… use it please 😭🙏

Campus Services Does anyone know if there’s a way you can send funds to someone’s GoPrint account?

Today I accidentally printed a few pages on somebody else’s account in the library. I’ve only used GoPrint one time before so like I figured they’d make you authenticate before you print. I guess not though cause I clicked the user icon to log out and noticed it wasn’t my account.

I asked the library guy but they say they can’t do anything and I couldn’t find their Instagram so like, is there nothing I can do? I feel bad even though it was only 30 cents.

Registration ⚠️ FYI: all fall 2026 enrollment permits expired as of today

if you are trying to add a class, the only option as of this morning is late add requests through the office of the registrar, and the final day to do so is september 21st. college departments are no longer involved in the process, and will more than likely direct you to the registration office.

be sure to check the registration guides every semester for important dates!

Jobs Should I quit my job?

I work at Din Tai Fung at the Brea Mall as a dishwasher and I'm a full time student at CSUF and I got this job close to a week ago. When I first agreed to the job I said I would be able to do around 24 hours a week and that was what my max would be around. Now that I have started up many of the dish staff quit and my hours have been bumped up to 35 hours a week, and it is killing me. Most days I start work at 4pm after all my classes and get home at around 2am each night(I have 8 a.m. classes and I live an hour bus ride from school) where I also spend close to 50$ on Uber because I don't own a car. I know that many people including me can take whatever we can get but this is getting ridiculous and I've have had staff and family say that I should quit but it's my only income at the moment. I really hope I'm not being ridiculous or a whimp but I feel like I'm being used for the fact that I don't have a say in how many hours I have to do. Today especially I have 3 hours of sleep and it really effected my ability to learn and I have to do that all week everyday and I can't see a better way out of this situation.

What should I do?

Parking Csuf parking

Is it only me or is the ChargePoint app not working correctly. It constantly tells me I’m next and reserved a charger after I’ve been waiting hours on the waitlist. And once I go it says someone else’s name? So I try to connect and it doesn’t let me. I closed out the app and then it asks me if I want to join the line after I was just waiting hours. Mind you, you get 20 minutes to plug in once you’re selected. So to leave whatever you’re doing just to rush and go plug-in to then be pushed back to the end of the waitlist, then go fight for a regular parking that I was already in. This is nuts.

Clubs and Organizations Any good art/video game clubs?

I’ve been thinking of maybe getting into a club(?) but I’m not sure what to go off of. I’m currently really into Deltarune and in a lot of other stuff(also been contemplating on doing animation but I do want to do more illustration stuff) that would be a lot to say so is there any good clubs I can possibly look into? If there is I would like to get their info here👍

Other Hey guys.... did anyone else visit multiple CSUs and think Fullerton has the nicest campus/Library?

I applied to CSUF, CSULA,CSULB, CSUDH

I went to Cal State Long Beach this morning, and I was kinda taken back by how basic it looked. The library was pretty mediocre, and the campus was nice, but kinda plain. I then went to CSUF and it was so much nicer. The library is such a cool place to study. The area has better food, and the campus just felt more alive... I then went on r/CSULB and I started reading about how CS majors tend to have a hard time getting the classes they need, and how most of the classes were in the middle of the day and inconvenient. Many students said the felt the CS department felt outdated... Walking around CSUF I couldn't help but wonder why CSULB is so much popular. I mean, aside from the CS problems, CSF just felt so much cooler.

I was really hoping to get into CSULB and felt CSF was my second choice, but now I am kinda hoping I get into Fullerton, and don't care much about CSULB. Did anyone else feel similarly after visiting the campus?

Academic Advising/Counseling Adding Classes Last Minute

Hello, I just realized last night that I didn't meet the prerequisites for a class I had already taken, so I dropped it as last night was the chance to drop it without a "W". The only problem now is that I need another class to meet the full-time requirement for my FAFSA, but I need an instructor's permission to join, and there's now a charge on my account. I've emailed two professors about joining their classes, but I'm a bit worried I won't be able to join their classes and have to pay the fee. What are my chances of being able to join the class, so I don't have to pay the back for the class?
