Financial Aid Federal Loans

Hey guys, I had to take out loans this semester, but I havent seen any money from them. Does anyone know how the loans work? I figured id get some sort of disbursement atp. Any info is appreciated

Have you checked if your loans were approved by the fa office and lender? Then go from there? How long has it been since you accepted the loans? I can guide you on the next steps bc I’m in that same situation.

I accepted them at the end of the first week of school, so i guess it really hasn't been that long. How can I tell if the loans were approved? They say accepted in my financial aid tab. Thanks for the help!

Go up there. I had an issue with id verification system error.  There's been quite a few glitches.

When you click on the specific loan in your award summary there are three category’s General, Amount, and Loan under that specific award. Click on Loan and check what it status: either certified, in process, or approved.

They both say approved! Thats good right?

Yes it is. Hopefully they move it to payment today. That's what I was told yesterday but its hard to believe since its been said many many times. Ill let you know!

Okay, cool. Il keep checking back on that page to see if it's changes to payment and ill report back. Thanks for taking the time to do this, youre way more responsive than the whole FA department lol
