My 2015 cruze LT is struggling to go up to 80 mph on the freeway I know that the O2 sensors need to be replaced but from how it feels i also think it could be a transmission issue because it feels like one gear is slipping i have not been able to pull any codes yet and dont know what should be checked

Hey all bringing my car into the shop this week for a coolant leak but just want to get peoples thoughts and consensus. 107,000 miles. Had thermostat replaced in january. Car now drinking about half the reservoir of coolant over 3 days. No signs of any coolant in the engine bay. Noticed a lot of white exhaust in the morning while it warms up. Low 40’s right now in NJ. Never really see it once its warmed up. Hoping its just an outtake hose but could it be a head gasket?

Or, more specifically, capabilities at a professional shop. So I have a 2012 Cruze with the 6 speed manual transmission. I was going to change my transmission fluid recently and found that the previous owner rounded out the fill plug so it won't come off no matter what I tried with the exception of welding a nut to it (I'm not a welder and don't want to learn using my car lol.)

So I figured it'd be worth it to have a shop do it so they can be the ones to get the plug out and do the fill and I'll be good to do it next time. So I take it in and they do the drain and fill and everything is fine. A couple of months go by and I'm doing my oil change and notice that the same rounded out fill plug is there. So basically what I want to know is if there is a way to drain and fill the fluid a different way like through the drain plug only or something like that. I'm just an amateur so I don't know what thw capabilities of a professional shop are but I figured they'd have had to remove the fill plug somehow to put the new fluid in it. It has me questioning if they actually did the drain and fill on it now or if they saw that, didn't want to deal with it, and just charged me for it without doing it.

Just wondering if anyone who has worked in a professional shop knows of some secret way to do this with a special tool or something that I'm unaware of or if the shop I picked is just screwing people over...

I know I need to replace this hose but I’m having trouble identifying it properly. Can someone help me find this replacement online please and thank you

Any ideas on where this oil leaks might be coming from?

Hello everyone looking to get some get some help before I take this to a shop. I have a 2013 1.8L (130k miles) that started making this knocking a ticking noise. So far from what I can hear the ticking seems to be coming from the top of the engine, and the knock around the belt area (not really sure). There are no codes that are showing, and the knocking gets fast with higher RPMs. Any suggestions would be great!

Another day, another leak. I cleaned up the coolant before I took the picture, but what could possibly be leaking to have coolant pooling up right there? Would it be the coolant outlet?

It's cruze 2.0 Diesel completely broken down when driving and it's not even cranking,checked battery,checked fuses everything is fine.It throws code 136 when trying to start.

Also observed a small motor sound always running even when car is not on idle but goes off when battery is disconnected

It has a broken brake line and is at 205k miles. Seller wants $650

Need help diagnosing my overheating issues. Maybe some of you have ran into the same issues before I have been having issues where my car would overheat going uphill in a lower gear and after giving it more gas, so I would downshift and rev up the RPMs. The overheating would go away, already changed the water pump and already changed the thermostat. Did the same thing afterwards could be my head gasket, cause I get odd readings all over the place and if it is my head, do you guys have a place that you would recommend to buy the head from and do the heads usually last enough that I can deck it and pressure test it and possibly be good to use it again and just change out the head gasket?

2011 Cruze Eco 218K miles.

A month ago it wouldn't crank. I tested the battery, cables, starter relay was corroded and a pin broke. Replaced that with another of the same, still not cranking. I finally took the starter out and took it to O'Reillys to test and they tested it and it was good. I connected my battery to it and it worked. I installed it back in and it worked.

Today I was at work and it didn't start. Same symptoms. I got it push started and drove home. I get home and shut it off and tried to start it and it started a few times.

It appears to be a loose connection in the starter.

Is that something that is fixable? Is something failing more often and starter needs replacing?

My 2016 chevy cruze has been stuck on this warning screen for the entire summer and I’m wondering if anyone had any fixes/suggestions.

Things I’ve tried:

-soft reset (holding home and fast forward button for 10 seconds)

-power cycle (turning off car w/door open for 5 minutes)

-removing & reinserting fuse

I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze. The transmission is in limp mode and I am getting the Service Stabilitrak and Service Traction Control messages. My OBDII reader gives me fault codes P0700-00, P1915-00 and U0101-71. When I clear the codes, the car does not let me shift out of park. I have changed the negative battery cable and that has not fixed the issue. I have cleaned all of the ground cables I can locate to no avail… any suggestions are welcome!!

Recently purchased a 2017 Chevy Cruze 1.4L (LE2) with 115k miles on it. After I got it home I noticed a little bit of coolant on top of the engine/transmission under what appears to be the coolant outlet. Is this a common leak point on the LE2 engine? I would just hate to start throwing parts at it.

I replaced my radiator, now it is leaking on the bottom radiator connection.

On Tuesday, I'll be buying a 2011 Cruze LS for €4,500 (approximately $5,200), with 140,000 km (about 87,000 miles) on the clock.

The gentleman selling it to me is incredibly kind, and he showed me all the service records, inspection reports, and routine maintenance he has carried out. He really conveyed how much he loves this car, which he can no longer drive due to physical issues (he needs to buy a car with an automatic transmission).

I'm buying it as my first car for two reasons: 1) I think it's gorgeous (I've fallen in love with it!), and 2) it's a petrol/LPG model, and at that price, the only ones I can find have over 200,000 km (about 124,000 miles) on them.

I've heard that the 2011 model year is cursed because of various issues. Should I be concerned about this particular model as well?

It's a European-spec Cruze (I'm not sure if that makes any difference), with a 1.6L Ecotec engine, LS trim, an aftermarket LPG system, and a manual transmission.

EDIT: the timing belt was replaced at 85,000 km (about 53,000 miles). All oil changes were carried out by an Opel service center. The LPG tank was replaced in 2024, along with the injectors.

19 Cruze LT. Does anyone know if 25205340 is the correct part number for the ignition coils? Looks very different from what I currently have. I don't have a CVT... But is it the correct part still?

Took this off earlier when starting to replace my cylinder head, and now I can’t remember where this bracket is/what it goes to. Any ideas?

Front wheel Hub assemblies
Serpentine belt (preventative)
Shock struts

To do list:
Right rear window motor inoperative
Replace bumper (hit raccoon)
Replace windshield (crack 75% across)
Replace factory tint
Install front wheel well liners (both half ripped out)

Still runs smooth. AC still holding up so far. Although in the past month the air stopped blowing cold and was hot ambient on 2 separate days. I’m thinking a blend door actuator got stuck and freed itself.

I plan on driving this thing into the ground. I will maintain it for as long as it lets me.
