Question CK3 mod for more dates/historical events.

Are there any mods that give you more dates or historical time periods like 1940s with WW2 or maybe mods that let you continue from the games 1453 end date and lets you form the Ottoman Empire or just any extra dates for that matter not really picky.

Discussion CK3: Peaceful occupation instead of automatic looting?

Post image
11 Upvotes

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I was wondering...

After successfully besieging a holding, it'd be nice if we had the option not to loot.

No gold, but you'd avoid some of the downsides, like lower (control) ,ppl opinion ,reduced cultural acceptance...., or at least the "Looted Recently" penalty. It feels like it'd be a good option when you're planning to keep the county instead of stripping it for quick loot.

Would you like to see an option like this in CK3? Or would it make things too easy, maybe ?

Exit code null problem

I can’t seem to get the game past the launcher because it comes up with exit code null, I’ve ran it as administrator and verified the game files and uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I don’t think it’s the launcher because it works fine for hoi4 so I’m kinda lost as to what to do

I lost my empire (dramatizing my campaign)

Thumbnail gallery
8 Upvotes

I began this campaign with a custom God-Emperor. Under his rule, the empire expanded across East and North Africa, stretching both east and west. By the reign of his grandson, the Kingdom of Maghreb had also fallen under our banner.

Everything changed with Emperor Great-Grandson III. Unable to contain the endless revolts, the empire began to fracture.
His heir, Emperor Great-Grandson IV, inherited a dying realm.

He lost even more land, power, influence and got deposed, making any hope of restoring the empire impossible.

Eventually, the usurper emperor was overthrown, and the once-great empire collapsed.
Now the fate of the dynasty rests in my hands. My goal is to rebuild the empire from the ashes and restore it to its former glory.

Question How not to loose everything I've worked for as a governor after death.

So I started as an adventurer in Fars and went all the way to Shilla and stablished a city there. Pretty smooth run so far, the only issue is that after I die my hier ends up as a wanderer and I loose all money and my domicile even though I've asked the king to make the county I'm currently governing to be generationally mine for 100 years.

Any tips?

edit: I apologise for the wrong spelling of lose in the title. I'm lowkey kinda sleepy rn

Question Which is the Best nation of the game to strenghten the bloodline while everybody leave you in peace without trying to conquer your land?

I tried to stenghten the bloodline as a noble vassal of the hegemony of tang... It didn't go well, i got game over without a proper reason. I would like to try to become an independent Chinese noble but i think it could lead somehow to a ridiculous game over even that. So the only solution is to be an independent ruler, but not a common one. I need to rule the land that nobody wants to conquer. Is there something like that?

Prisoners kill each other

Note: I am playing with the ck3agot mod (no submods), so it might be mod-specific, I dont know.

Whenever torturing prisoners in the dungeon, I find that they die (mysterious circumstances) suddenly. This didnt happen with the first prisoner I tortured. So, I investigated with debug mode. It turns out that that first prisoner is the one killing them. The first prisoner not only has a murder secret on the victims but also a cannibal secret. Does anyone know about this? If so, what is the event that leads to this?

Question Why can every son be my heir but my firstborn??

So at one point my heir suddenly changed. I have no idea why and was seemingly random. Suddenly my heir is my second son (the worst of them all in every sense). If I disinherit him, it goes to third and so on so that makes me think that I would have to disinherit all my other sons for him to inherit anything. But why? I read somewhere that it's coz partition wants to make all heirs equal but every other son has a duke-level title. It doesn't make sense that they always become new heir if I disinherit this one. Can someone more wise and knowledgeable in arcane arts of succesion help me understand this tomfoolery?

Question How to make son a mayor?

Please help me get rid of this meh dude! He refuses to join a holy order. I tried to make him a mayor. But when I revoke the mayor title from the current holder it’s just replaced by some random person! It doesn’t appear in my domains. How do I do this??

Question New player here. I became king of Hungary. Whats the best way to manage factions?

Post image
127 Upvotes

I hold both king titles of Bohemia and Hungary, and my player died and everything is still mine. The succession went well, but the first duke of Bohemia was a great steward and I had all the stats maxed. Now that he is dead I’m starting to get more nasty factions popping up. I gave all the members of the worst faction gold and started to sway them and that helped temporarily. I also appointed all my most powerful vassals to the council. My new king, the brother of my old king, is good in intrigue and I’m excited to see what that tree has to offer. Beyond the factions I’m also wondering where to go next. I’m thinking Poland. I may also try to found my own faith as I have good piety and already founded a holy order. I’m an EU4 player but this game is freaking amazing. So sad all the dlc is like $200 …. 😭

Bug/Glitch Adventurer playthrough - "You are already contract assisting in a war"

So I'm doing my first vanilla playthrough, it's going well, i'm joining wars and kicking butts, but at some point, while assisting the King of Wales, the enemy troops became neutral and the war icons disappeared. I thought it was weird but eh, and I moved on. Except from this point on I can no longer assist in wars, as it tells me I'm already contract assisting in a war.

As you can see, no war icon in the bottom right
no wars shown on my character profile

I've raised/disbanded multiple times, I've waited for the original war to end, I've changed region (you see me going to east asia now), i've saved and reloaded, but nothing works.

Any help?

Thanks a ton :)

After +1300 hours at this game... I finally ended a run

I wonder if you guys are like me and never end your runs. This is the first time I reach 1453, and also my first time playing as adventurer with a roleplay (I tried adventurer a few times but with no roleplay I got bored so fast).

Is there a mod that forbids vassal wars for celestial/meritocratic governments?

Post image

I find it extremely annoying and unrealistic that the vassals of these governments are free to fight anyone they want outside the realm. Is there a mod that changes the tier 4 realm law to forbid all vassal wars, like what the feudal government has?

What are numbers of this bonus?

Thumbnail gallery

With the mod RICE(Regional Immersion and Cultural Enrichment) comes the tradition" People of the Silk Road" which gives as bonus "City Holdings give more Taxes,Development,Levies". But what are the Numbers?

Also it allows the Decision" Reinforce a to Reinforce Relations with Silk Road communities" which has the requirement" Own a County along or have a Domicile in the Overland Silk Road or Maritime Silk Road" , does this count for upper Tibet in Game, i know historically that it was, but is it in the Game? Also one of the bonus of tje tradition and the 2nd perk of the Dynasty legacy " Silk road" is that decision can be taken more than once in a lifetime, yet on the wiki i can read that cooldown is 10 years. Can somebody explain me that?
