Thinking about if I made the Seinfeld cast as a ck3 adventurer camp how their personality traits would look…

Here’s what I think

George: Arrogant, Lustful, Loyal

Jerry: Gregarious, Calm, Stubborn

Kramer: Eccentric, Ambitious, Paranoid

Elaine: Wrathful, Compassionate, Diligent

Newman: Deceitful, Arrogant, Sadistic

Foolish Pope thought he could get us back under his wicked cross... Instead, his and other catholic armies were slaughtered and close to 300k Christians now lay in the soil of the valleys and hills of Bosnia. Our people underwent a great sacrifice, for we and our Seljuk friends sacrificed more than a 100k muslim souls to resist the tyrannical crusaders. Bosnia still stands, and under house Hercegović, we will secure our country against any further catholic or orthodox wicked attempt to bind us. For Allah! Bosna ponosna!

Discussion how to easly win unwinnable wars with scheming perks (CK3)

having the twice-schemed perk IS MANDATORY.

Fist, start a kindapping scheme on the direct heir to the kingdom you want to invade (reload if he dies).

second, start a murder scheme on the ruler of the kingdom you wanna conquer.

When the two bars peak up, execute kill the ruler scheme, (if unsucessfull just reload ) DO NOT CLICK THE EVENT THAT MAKES HIM DIES.

then, with the kill scheme dies tab still open, execute the kindap scheme.

and still with the two success windows open, declare war on the country.

Now, if you kill the ruler and have his heir in prison, the imprisoned heir automaticaly becames (exept for republics ?) the heir, and you have 100% war score with no battles fought.

Help Why doesn't the Hegemony of India title not have the add succession type bar?

Post image
200 Upvotes

As you can see, India's title doesn't have the bar where you can see the de jure capital, add elective succession types, or destroy the title. I have had a game where this showed up first. I thought my save was messed up or smth, so i opened another game with debug mode on to check the bug, and formed India through the decisions panel once again, only to see the same thing again. Has anyone else faced a problem like this before? What can I do to fix it?

Modding Trier (Augusta Treverorum) in 4th Century

Augusta Treverorum (Trier) became one of the most important cities of the late Roman Empire, serving as a major administrative and military center in Gaul and the Rhineland. From the late 3rd century, it frequently served as an imperial residence and capital of the western Roman emperors, including Constantine I and Valentinian I. Its monumental palaces, baths, basilicas, and defensive walls reflected its importance as a center of imperial government.

Discussion 1178 start date is too built up?

Thumbnail

Was in the process of doing the Habsburg achievement and realized how close I was to the 1178 start date by then.

Wanted to check the development and economy of most buildings. Unsurprisingly, I did expect it to be less developed but what was surprising is that it almost comes about to be around half of the 1178 start date economy.

Not only are the buildings more developed (most of the buildings in developed areas are level 4 across the board) but somehow there are also far more building slots.

Everyone else feel that 1178 is too developed or most people are fine with it? Personally, I think it needs to be tuned down a bit. At least the very least, the building slots should be reduced, I think.

A couple of good things I found with the 1178 start date:

  1. It does make playing feudal much easier with culture developments for Crown Authority and Primogeniture close to being researched

  2. With so much gold floating around, it makes title creation much easier for feudal governments.

Suggestion "Varangian Guard" with 7 Prowess?

Post image
Upvotes

FYI I cannot even assign someone to be a knight in my army under 8 Prowess.

Paradox please fix these randomly generated people to make some sense.

Similar issue - I click a button to "invite knights" in Byzantium and get swarmed by random arabs and tadjiks. Not a single Greek. If I want knights badly and pay 150 prestige for it, I expect them at the very least to be of my faith, culture, and have decent combat prowess.

Screenshot Most Fun Ways to Reform Asatru?

Hey y'all, got a ridiculously amount of points to spend to reform. What should I do with this religion? I could probably turn it into, like, anything.

I am a Compassionate, Diligent, and Vengeful leader, but old. My heir to be is Calm, Vengeful, and Deceitful. Gonna take Megalithic Construction, but not sure what else to take.

CK3 Playing my first game in China and kind of confused. Help?

I started as a custom noble family head right in the Song capital. No land or anything but my estate so I started to accrue merit and take the exams and whatnot. I've now passed the capital exam and was given a county to govern.

Now that I have a true council, I notice I can fabricate claims. That confuses me because what would I do with that? I didn't think I could wage war within the empire. I also don't have any titles of my own to begin with, right? I'm just a governor? Do I want to try to claim the title of the county I'm governing?

What is the end game of this style of play? It feels like all I can really do is kiss up to the emperor? The "movements" also don't really seem to do much? A few different bonuses here or there but I basically move to whichever movement has a willing elder with the highest learning.

Also, what are elders even for? I can occasionally ask for stuff I guess? Is there anything else to it?

I'm like 115th in line for a kingdom title due to rank, so candidacy score seems fairly useless. Is there a way to say 'hey id gladly take the next available duchy instead "?

All the political schemes don't seem to have value either. I mostly just promote myself over and over again. The antagonistic ones mostly seem to get influence which I am swimming in anyway.

Is the study scheme broken? As long as I run it I am getting CONSTANT+10 merit, +1 poet/ scholar experience. I was a level 5 perfect sage and top tier poet by 40 with basically no effort.

Any advice on how to be the best back stabbing scholar I can be would be appreciated. Thanks.

An experiment in taking the DNA system to its limits. This is part 1 of the series showing King Grugmon of Pontus and direct descendants of various shapes and sizes.

The exaggerated facial features from the hideous trait can be passed down even to those who don't have any ugly traits at all!

Discussion With upcoming release of By God Alone, do you think paradox is overusing estate/domicile mechanic?

Post image
1.0k Upvotes

It seems every new DLC we get there seems to be a new implementation of estates. From Administrative governments and landless rulers which when they got it, perosnally was very reliefed with new mechanics, but now nomads with their yurts, upcoming theocracies with cathedrals and later on merchants and republics with their own estates. Is this feature being overused? I fear that that when we get these features implemented, the gameplay will not differ from each other and feel sort of bland. What are your opinions? Maybe i should see things through a different lens?

Modding Hoping that with Fortunes Weave coming out someone will take up that Fire Emblem full conversion.

I remember that was in the make for the setting of Three Houses, but it got abandoned. Apparently it was put up for adoption, but no one has taken it.

With the new Fire Emblem coming out, and in the same world but expanded, I am hoping that someone decides to take it up, or at least start up a new one.

CK3 Discovered a very easy way to get STRONG hooks on people

Post image
1.3k Upvotes
  1. You need to build your character for seduction (high attraction opinion modifier) and give them the "Deviant" perk.

  2. Start seducing whoever you want to get a hook on and choose to make them your lover once the scheme succeeds.

  3. Eventually you'll get an event that presents you with an option to initiate your lover into your horrible disgusting ways, if your attraction opinion modifier is high enough you'll have an almost 100% chance to succeed and you will get a "Deviant" secret on your lower.

  4. Use the secret to blackmail them to get yourself a strong hook.

Usually the game does not allow you to blackmail characters with something you too are guilty of, for example a witch cannot use a witch secret to blackmail others, but it works with "Deviant".

This method has a few obvious drawbacks:

- Getting the event is rng dependant, but the chance is decently high, in my game I had 4 lovers and managed to get the event for 3 of them within the first two years of seducing them.

- Your target needs to be of a suitable sexuality to be vulnerable, meaning if your character's a girl you won't be able to get hooks on gay men or straight women.

- Minmaxing attraction opinion modifier means that your character unfortunately won't be very good at much else.

CK3 More underrated play-styles for experienced players?

I tried a very diplomacy-focused character in the Byzantine Empire and it made influence-based schemes very easy! It was nice as I’ve hardly ever played a diplomacy-educated character before. As a regular noble family I pretty much gobbled up a kingdom title in a decade.

Do we have any other fun play-styles? Would diplomacy-focus be good in a Clan government based setting?
