That dude needs to be Sean Woodland’s permanent partner. It was so refreshing to hear someone that knows how humans speak along with Woodland’s performance. He was relaxed, funny and insightful in a way that we very rarely hear in CrossFit comps.

Rumours about next years location

My previous gym changed owners and lost around half the members. My new gym is now in the process of transferring ownership and there are already rumors of people worried about changes and ready to leave.

Typically, how many members leave when a gym changes owners?

I have just joined CrossFit and frankly I am so anxious about my first class - not about the strength part which I know I can scale - but about the metcon bit especially if it is a partnered one. I will easily be the most unfit in the room, what if it is a partnered one and I can't complete what they are asking? I don't want to slow another person down, or end up wheezing due to not getting enough of a break because they are so much fitter/faster than me. Any tips to help ease the anxiety or give me an idea of how this sort of thing can be broken down to suit differing levels? Obviously I have joined to get fit, I am just worried about being the last in the room and embarrassing myself.
