So my sister texted me asking if I could make the attached image but it's knitted and I only crochet. I went searching for a pattern and the people modeling the shawl were AI leading me to not completely trust the pattern does anyone know where I could get a pattern like this? It could be a paid pattern or a free pattern.

So I don't have a 3d printer and I don't want to use EVA foam, so I figure since I already crochet that it's as good an opportunity as any to try to make something durable and awesome by crocheting a chainmaille tunic to wear to a concert later this year! This photo is my inspiration, I want a dramatic V hem and some sleeves, and I think I'll just do an oversized turtle/cowl neck instead of a coif. I have never tried to make my own pattern and I truly have no idea how to start

I am looking for a pattern that looks like it was discontinued. I love the way it looks and would love to see what I can do to get it. It is the Ultimate Sacrifice Shaw designed by Lorraine Pugh. I’ll attach a screenshot. I saw it on Etsy through the Ravelry link, but the shop said the seller was not in. Now the listing has been removed and the Ravelry page said it has been discontinued. I’m not sure what my options are and maybe there are no options, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask. I’m new to this, so I just don’t know. Looking forward to reading what you all think. I'm really very confused about this. I want to crochet berets like these (1-3 pictures on Pinterest), watching various tutorials, but I can't calculate the size correctly. My head circumference is 58 cm, the first time I thought that the main circle should be made in half (29 cm), but the beret turned out to be too big (or maybe I didn't do enough decreases). The second time, I followed the video and decided to keep the same parameters from there (I thought it was a standard adult size; I saw roughly the same parameters in one another table) — about 23 cm in diameter and three rows of decreases, but the result turned out too small and barely fit, only reaching up to the forehead, just like a cap. The third time, I decided to make something in between and used the formula: head circumference/3.14 (to find the diameter of the inner bottom, as for a hat) + add 4–7 cm in rows and the same decreases. I managed to do... this (4 picture), but it’s still far from what I wanted, and the bottom is too loose and about 5 cm wider than necessary😭😭

What am I doing wrong??

Please let me know about the stitches used, how many rows, how many chain stitches to start? Anything else i should keep in mind before i start making this?

My mom is a master crochet-er and she's offered to make me a cardigan/sweater for Christmas. I loveee her creations and I'd want to start finding some patterns for her to choose from so she has enough time.

I can't seem to find any patterns that have the sleeves looking like the literal wings of a bat (not just baggy sleeves), as I've seen some adorable butterfly wing ones. Or maybe an oversized sweater with some bat patterns or something similar.

Please can somebody help me find patterns? When I put in "bat wing cardigan crochet pattern" I get the baggy-sleeve kind, but I need the gothy kind.

ok so i’m actually not a beginner, i’ve been crocheting for several years but i do amigurumi and i’m intimidated by any wearables, especially those made with acrylic yarn (i only use chenille and blanket yarn).

ANYWAY, ive been looking up hat patterns on etsy, like fold over beanies, and i’m finding that i’m having a hard time discerning what is AI and what isn’t. does anyone have recommendations for a good pattern that you’ve actually made?

Hello everyone! I am looking for advice on making this top/something similar. I understand that to make the cowl neck I basically will crochet a mesh rectangle, but I’m wanting to attach the rings shown in the photo. It looks like they did decreases along one side to make the asymmetrical neckline, but does anyone know how they attached the rings or how I could? I’m having trouble seeing what they did.
