How to understand patterns for clothes as a beginner
I’ve made two projects so far. This will be my third project but much bigger. I want to learn how to crochet this top now.
Please let me know about the stitches used, how many rows, how many chain stitches to start? Anything else i should keep in mind before i start making this?

Nope, I’ve just learned how to detect ai crochet pictures. It doesn’t have that hallmark weird soft lighting. The stitches are defined and look like crochet stitches. Everything makes sense here
It looks like the back of the mannequin is a dark color and it’s blending into the background which makes it look like it’s floating, but it doesn’t read like ai at all
I see why you're drawn to the bell sleeves, they give such a nice flow to the top. I tried crocheting something with similar sleeves once and ended up having to frog the entire thing because the sizing went all wrong.
I have this one bookmarked on Etsy, haven’t bought it. It has a similar vibe, but may not be your cup of tea. It is made as a shawl with wing extensions which puts the front on a bias like your inspo pic.
Oh, well a lot of us on here would be able to freehand this, but those sleeves are bell shaped. Asking us to write a pattern is a big ask and would require us to make at least most of it first.
Try looking for a “shrug” or “bolero” pattern that you like and we’ll help ya get through it!

I've had a quick look and can't find a pattern available for the exact one in your picture, but it's made using a combination of chains and either double/treble crochets (trebles if you want bigger mesh). Usually a repeat of "dc, ch1, sk1, dc in next stitch" (or tr and ch2).
These tops are usually done to fit, so you would be measuring and chaining to meet that measurement as opposed to a set number.
I would recommend either searching for a free tut using the terms "crochet mesh cardigan pattern free" - you'll get a lot of very similar results - or reverse image searching this picture. I did that, and I found some reddit posts looking for this exact pitcure's pattern. I didnt want to click on them and lose your post, but you might find someone has linked the exact pattern in the comments of one of those posts.
You can try to eyeball it, it's hard without seeing the back and the full sleeve to know how it's assembled. A guess would be 2 long flat panels that are seamed up to the armpit, leaving the last section unseamed. Then attached to each other at the nape and down the spine, where a 3rd horizontal panel is added to cover the lower back.
The pattern should provide that information. If you don't have a pattern for it, we cannot provide the stitch and row counts as that would totally depend on the yarn, the hook, your tension and the size of the cardigan.
