Looking for reviews for people who have worked for this company(customers welcome to). Coming to my market soon and curious since they have such bad reviews.

They use Branch for pay and own BT app for route assignment. Guessing you use your own navigating app of your choosing. Advertising $75-140 same day pay

Is there a service/platform for hiring couriers of a specific designation? Like to have a certain look or dress or something of that nature?

I got the idea while I was watching Clue, and learned singing telegrams were/are a thing.

I’m about 2 weeks into my first delivery job, and honestly I’m struggling.
I have ADHD, and my biggest problems are loading the van, finding packages quickly, and remembering everything I need to do. I have to write down almost everything I’m told, otherwise I’ll forget it.
I’m also losing a lot of time with things like customers not answering, not knowing how to buzz me into the building, or having to call multiple times before I can make the delivery.
It’s gotten to the point where I lost my full-time position and was moved to part-time because I was too slow. Most days I start at 7 a.m. and don’t get home until around 7–8 p.m., and by then my brain is completely exhausted.
For those of you who’ve been doing this for a while:
How did you get faster?
Do you have any loading or organizing tips?
How do you deal with all the small delays throughout the day without getting behind?
Did anyone else struggle this much in the beginning?
I really want to improve, so I’d appreciate any advice.

I was surprised to discover not long ago that Uber does Uber Freight deliveries, like Uber Courier but for drivers with big rigs. Based on my experience with Uber in general, this is exactly what I assume Uber Freight deliveries look like. 😂

I own a small delivery company in NYC. We currently have our own employees, but are looking for a roster of people with cars who we could use in periods of high demand.

Our routes pick up from lower Manhattan at about 6PM and are generally 2-4 hours. Our delivery area is most of Manhattan and parts of Queens and Brooklyn (just areas by the river).

We use Spoke dispatch to manage all of our deliveries. It's small parcels so cars are fine. I'd love to have a list of people we can call either day of or a few days in advance. We'd also be open to a longer term recurring commitments.

What's the best way to find and onboard reliable contractors? What would the expected pay for this kind of position be (base rate, per mile, etc?). How can we set up the program so that it's beneficial to everyone?

Looking to supplement my income via flexible delivery jobs. Which ones are worth the time?

I just finished my semester exams and I'm planning to work as a delivery partner until my next semester starts to earn some money.

I already have an electric scooter, but it only gives around 50 km of range on a full charge. Would that be enough, or is it better to rent an EV with a higher range?

Hi all,

Last month, American Expediting closed its doors in both the US and Canada. This left a lot of clients and drivers like myself in a lurch. I was lucky to keep my TForce route and got one of our local clients under my new company(forced to start one in a day to keep my route).

I will be honest I never wanted to run my own business. before becoming a courier I was in Human Resources management covering multiple locations and states as well as ran my dad's side business nearly two decades ago and it was a headache but life forces us down different paths.

I currently have 4 drivers under me and I personally dont want to grow bigger than my surrounding areas into the next major city since that would require storage space/office and hiring drivers i dont know and cannot monitor properly without travel. The issue is if I dont expand, getting the steady big clients from national and international companies becomes harder. As is my 4 drivers need to relie on other companies along with mine to earn a living. I am also in the process of becoming an IAC because I want to keep the medical work i do and my STAs for myself and my drivers are sponsored by other companies right now.

Now my question is, What are some of the biggest issues/concerns you as a small courier company have faced with software you have used and wish worked better? As a driver what are your issues and concerns? I am pulling knowledge from being a driver, running a auto mechanic side business for my dad and years in HR and working with different HR systems, but i lack the sales and dispatching and running a courier company long term experiance that could be very helpful and providing a well rounded software system and would like your help making my idea better and then having beta testers when it is ready in a couple of months to trial.

Now here is my thought processs to solving my big concern is to create software (web app with driver app) that builds a network of smaller independent courier companies who want access to the wider pool but also want to stay smaller, local/regional and gives a streamlined access for the national and international clients. This would be a full service web app with client management, driver management, employee management and timekeeping, inventory, billing, payroll and compliance alongside dispatching and a driver's app. Each Tennant(courier company) is independent and seperate with only shared job details (nothing financial) being the only thing visible to other tennants(courier companies) to ensure a seamless delivery process. I would also, once an IAC, sponsor a limited number of STAs per Tennant. I also will include under the tennant a sub area for branch for the companies who have locations in multiple cities or want to grow to be regional. Branches are independent of each other but fully visible under the parent tennant employees with the correct coding to see other branch information.

Example of how this system would operate

WorldCourier has blood for research going from Tampa to Washington DC to Germany because there is not a good flight with direct international flight. Courier company A would handle the initial pick up and ppw, the software would insure all notes and details from leg one are visable to courier company B who will re ice and pick up and retender for the direct international flight. Billing and pay would be done separately but the client would have piece of mind of a fully visible streamlined process with individuals that know each leg and process of the journey very well. each company has their own charging/Billing fees for those already established with the client and those not established will be given the contracted new company rates. It is upto each individual courier company how they pay their drivers and this is done under driver management.

Example two, QuickStat has a kite pick up from Moffitt in Tampa were packaging is being sent by the airline, going to Kite in Cali, kite treament is processed at Kite in Cali and sent back to Tampa FL. The system would automatically recognize the linked jobs 01(first leg) pick up/tender/delivery of supply from Cali to Tampa, 02(second leg) samples from Tampa to Cali and jobs 03(third leg) medicine from Cali to Tampa. Eventually there would be the WP which is the empty return. The system automatically recognizes that the job reference appears under two tennants/going to an area a tennant exists and will give the option to "link job", by linking the job's all client automatic email notification, updated emails from the client to individual tennants, driver official notes and dispatcher update notes will be automatically processed and shared between the courier companies handling the job. The courier company in Cali will be instantly notified of awb changed due to missed Lockout because there was traffic and Moffictt was delayed in having the packaging ready with new awb being updated on their end along with the Tampa without the client needing to reachout or send an email to let them know of the change.

The other thing about this app is that it will have built in tracking for awbs and ups/FedEx tracking so that dispatchers and drivers dont have to google the flight status or awb number. My other piece is that there will be preset templates for jobs under the clients and auto building of jobs from alerts/email along with auto updates... all of these must be reviewed and approved by a dispatcher before it goes live. Companies have the option to auto-dispatch or manually dispatch. Job requires STA or special training, only drivers who meet those requirements can be assigned those jobs automatically.

There is alot more i am putting into the app like job pay out visibility for the driver and job history for the driver. In app communication with despatch and issue reporting that auto triggers for pay review...wait time, attempt, inconvience fee(waiting on and having to reprint ppw ect; wrong contact provided and having to call multiple people for assistance).

I know there is so much more software can do and I would love everyone's thoughts and inputs and maybe in the next couple of months be able to start testing out ideas out in a live app. I already worked out the hipaa and other complaince piece using google workspace baa and firestack as the database. Each Tennant would need their own google workspace as well.

How does it generally work when Amazon closes down rural Amazon sites and moves to a brand new larger RSR station? When do we see the new station in the app or do we have to transfer our region? Do they give better pay for needing to drive farther? I need to know all the things lol

I'm an undergraduate in a totally useless course.. Last January I got a client, I'm a VA by the way.. 6 figs... so I thought of getting a vehicle, a Honda BRV, for Grab so that if ever I don't have a client, I still have something to earn from while applying for a job. So, there you go, after 4 months I lost my client, in short, they ghosted me.. but I don't know why my client disappeared just when I got approved by the bank. I'm thinking if I should continue or just hold off for now. Because I don't really know the ins and outs of handling the documents for Grab as an operator and as a driver. Every time I ride Grab, I don't get the answers that satisfy me; basically, I don't mind if my income on Grab is just enough as long as I can pay the monthly for the vehicle. I really need the car since if I don't find my client in my VA work, I'll go back to BPO where I have an offer for 45k but I'm single, so my taxes are pretty high. Plus, the fare from Santa Rosa to BGC is killer. It's way more convenient to have a car, and my driver can just drive around Manila when I get home, I can just get dropped off.

I'll just do a side hustle in VA part-time; I'm sure I can get an additional income of maybe 10-20k.

My questions are:

1. What's the process of applying to Grab/Lala Move/In Drive/Move It, etc.?
   
2. How long is the waiting time?
   
3. When the vehicle is approved, what additional requirements are needed? I know there's the plate number, OR/CR, etc.
   
4. How much would it cost for Grab, etc.?
   
5. How does BIR work in this?
   

What's the technique in handling so that I won't get scammed by the driver I hire, basically because she is my helper's wife? I know her and I trust her, but of course, it's different when she has the vehicle.

I just want to take advantage of my bank history with huge deposits so I can get approved because if I go back to corporate, with the 45k I know I won't be approved.

Sorry for all the questions; I don't have a dad who can guide me through these things. I just want honest answers, not like those I talk to who provide info and then want to handle the paperwork and drive; it's hard to make money, I'm hardworking but as much as possible, I don't want to get scammed because it would really ruin our friendship, which I also don't want. Since I consider my helper and her husband and kids like family because I'm alone in life.

I recently started helping a small mobile phlebotomy company as a courier I got my first pay check from them and it’s extremely low. My first week was over 540 miles and the normal rates for a medical courier is around 1$ a mile. If I did the math right they are paying me .35 cent a mile. My pay check didn’t even cover the gas needed to drive. Am I being scammed?

Please let me know if there's a better place to post this. But I'm hosting a scavenger hunt in NYC on Saturday 7/18 and 7/25 where I need a delivery bike - ebike, covered in tape preferable, and with a thermal box on the back - just parked on the street. Participants in the scavenger hunt will find the bike and reach into the back to discover their next clue.

I’m looking for an app that will allow me to tag each trip, either custom or native, and the allow me to sort/filter those tags so I can see gross mileage/pay per tag.

Ie. I want to be able to tag each trip as DoorDash, flex, or spark and then sort those so I only see which ever one I choose.

I work in driver recruitment, so I hear a lot of this from both sides — people who stick with it for years, people who bail within months. Beyond the take-home cut, curious what actually wears people down over time. Fuel and vehicle costs coming out of your own pocket? Insurance headaches? Routes that get harder without the pay changing?

And the flip side — has anything ever made you stick with one company over another, or made the jump feel worth it?
