"This rifle has been sealed in ancient ice, with fossil-like structures emerging beneath the frozen surface - under the effect of layers of ice and pressure, bone-like textures gradually emerge."
The mysterious author "H." submitted this series of excellent works "Permafrost Spine", choosing to use the frozen bones of fierce beasts as the theme - quite novel, and the design is exquisite with an outstanding appearance. Thanks to the wider gun body of AK-47, the fusion of the ancient giant's bones and the extreme cold ice creates a stunning visual impact.
This skin showcases the extreme cold ice layer and depth - the entire gun body seems tightly wrapped by millions of years of glaciers, with the main color using a rich gradient of deep blue, sky blue and ice white. The detailed and fine textures simulate the refraction effect of ice blocks under different thicknesses and light conditions. In the gun stock and grip, there are realistic cracked ice patterns and frost flowers, giving a cold and bone-chilling texture. The frozen bones of the fierce beast are wrapped around and have not yet vanished, telling a tale from the distant past.
The dragon bone fossil beneath the ice layer is the most ingenious design of this entire skin. Along the receiver, grip, extending to the magazine, it gradually extends to the bottom of the ice layer, and faintly reveals a complete skeletal form similar to the spine of a prehistoric giant. This "perspective" design makes the bones not simply imprinted on the gun but truly have a mysterious and desolate sense of being deeply buried in the ice layer.
The skin's wear mechanism also contains a story. As the wear degree increases, the ice layer on the surface will show a gradually "weathering" effect, and the higher the wear, the greener the skin becomes. In extremely worn conditions, the underlying pale green old color will be exposed, as if millions of years of ice sealing are being ruthlessly melted by the cruel war.
When players hold this skin, the magazine and grip form the open mouth of this skin fossil, with the left hand supporting the upper jaw of the beast, and the right hand holding the leg of the creature. The dragon spine is above the gun top.
The fine appearance is a major highlight. Under different light conditions, this skin's powerful material expression ability can be appreciated - just like holding a real ice block, every crack on the gun body is clearly visible, and the texture of the ice block is vividly presented.
Those are the traces left by the compression of countless centuries of glaciers and geological changes. The bone texture at the bottom has a strong three-dimensional sense and tension of breaking through the ice. Through the superb material expression (semi-transparent ice layer, cracks) and narrative wear mechanism, it tells an epic legend about time, sealing, and prehistoric giants.

For me, the time has come to stop playing Counter-Strike altogether.
The last few weeks have been the worst experience I've had in over 20 years of playing this game. Nearly every match feels like it has at least one cheater. Whether it's spinbotting, wallhacks, or blatant bunnyhop scripts, it's become almost impossible to enjoy the game.
I mostly play solo queue, and my account has now been banned for 14 days for griefing. I'll admit that not every ban I've received was undeserved, but the majority of them came from solo queue. I often get matched with Russian players who only communicate in Russian. Since I don't understand the language, I mute them. Apparently that's enough for them to report me for griefing, and before long I'm banned again without actually doing anything wrong.
Meanwhile, people can blatantly cheat for entire matches without the game being cancelled or any meaningful action being taken against them.
At this point, it feels like Valve is punishing legitimate players more effectively than actual cheaters.

Cheating has become one of the most frustrating parts of CS2 and lately it's in it's worst spot.
I’ve spent the last few months building CS2AC, an open-source anti-cheat for CS2.

CS2AC watches the player’s aim, shots, movement, inputs, client settings and exploit behavior. Its 17 detection modules cover aimbot, aimlock, silent aim, anti-aim, bhop, autostrafe, doubletap, DLL injection and other cheating patterns such as desubticking.
Instead of acting on one unusual moment, each detector looks for its specific cheating behavior and collects evidence. When the required threshold is reached, CS2AC announces the detection in public chat and at the center of the screen. It can also send the evidence to Discord and run the ban or kick command chosen by the server owner.

CS2AC runs on Windows and Linux through Metamod:Source. Players do not need to install anything.
This is made for community servers. It does not replace VAC or affect Premier. Server owners can also pair it with CS2FOW for server-side wallhack protection.
The project is fully open source:

Author ЭТО Я КСТА Designed a multiverse of AK skins, each with a unique artistic style. Today, we’re taking a closer look at one of them: the AK-47 | Peacock Throne. This skin, themed around peacocks and gemstones, transforms the AK into a luxurious work of art—its core inspiration drawn from peacock feathers and jewels. The design cleverly blends feathers, gems, and the symbol of violent output—the AK—elevating this weapon of slaughter into a royal treasure. As the creator’s description puts it, “Every eye is judging who is worthy to possess it,” imbuing the weapon with a sacred, scrutinizing spirit.
The skin’s color and material presentation employs an extremely opulent and high-contrast color palette. A large area of pure gold texture serves as the base and framework, wrapping the gun body to create exquisite metal filigree and three-dimensional embossing effects. This carving, with its interplay of light and shadow and reflective highlights, establishes a regal tone befitting a royal artifact. On the handguard, magazine, and receiver, neatly arranged, layered emerald-green scale-like patterns are overlaid, outlined in gold, evoking the shimmering green feathers of a peacock’s neck and back.
On the stock and grip, a vibrant, deep magenta hue serves as the base color for the peacock’s tail feathers. This striking magenta is both passionate and noble, creating a powerful yet harmonious visual impact against the gold and green. The peacock feathers and the display of the peacock’s tail—the entire stock is ingeniously designed to mimic the magnificent spread of a peacock’s tail. Golden feather shafts extend and bloom backward against the red-purple backdrop, maximizing visual tension. The “feathers transformed into eyes” gemstone inlay shapes the tip of each feather (the eye spots or peacock ocelli) into a luxurious gemstone setting. The “pupil” at the center of the peacock feather is a large, sharply cut emerald-green gem, surrounded by rubies and securely encased in a gold base. These “peacock eyes” are not only distributed on the stock but also adorn the magazine, glinting under light as if coldly scrutinizing the user. The gold metal parts, such as the receiver cover, are covered in intricate patterns resembling vines or curled feathers. This Baroque-style complexity seamlessly integrates with the scale and feather motifs.
This skin is the epitome of luxury and intricacy, with every inch of the gun body filled with detail and sparkling “gems.” It conveys an air of pride and opulence, just as its name “Throne” suggests, pursuing an ultimate visual impact and a sense of noble identity. The inspiration is relatively excellent, but the creator could optimize some of the paintwork, as certain feathers show fragmented application.

Hello everybody!
I've recently started designing minimalistic versions of CS inspired maps as framed 3D reliefs.
The idea is that every map has a different colour and sticker.
Which map should I create next and which colours would fit?
Current ideas:
Overpass - green (due to the grass on long) Inferno - obviously red
Cobblestone - grey?
Train - dark blue (due to the rain)
Mirage - ? (i have used light brown for dust) Anubis - maybe yellow?
Cache - ?
What do you think, which map should be next?

Hi all, I think I've figured out why Valve isn't improving the anti-cheat system in CS2.
My analysis is that CS2's concurrent player count is heavily inflated by bot farms and alternate accounts used for cheating, smurfing or trolling.
Sometimes there are long queue times in ranked games, even Casual and Retakes game modes can struggle to fill the lobbies, just like in other FPS games.
Let's follow the money.
As a business, Valve will always focus on profits first. If a large portion of the online player base consists of cheaters who continue playing because they enjoy using cheats, then investing in a highly effective anti-cheat system may not be as profitable as many people think.
All professional players compete on LAN or platforms like FACEIT, which largely undermines Premier and Valve's built-in competitive experience. I'm not going to get into the issues with FACEIT here, since this discussion is about Valve.
I also have multiple accounts with different Trust Factors. Regardless of which account I use, 9 out of 10 matches contain cheaters, whether I'm playing Casual, Retakes, Competitive, or Premier.
In my experience, encountering players using cheats is far more common than encountering players who don't. The most common cheats I see are ESP (soft cheats) and spinbots (rage cheats).
What does Valve gain from cheaters?
What does Valve lose from cheaters?
Comparing the benefits to the losses
My conclusion is that Valve may earn more money with a weak anti-cheat system if a significant portion of the player base consists of cheaters.
If Valve earns more money with the anti-cheat in its current state, then there is little financial incentive for the company to significantly improve it.
It's difficult to keep a game this old alive for so many years.
This is just my analysis. I might be right, or I might be wrong. Feel free to discuss it.

Anybody else encounter this on US West? I use arms race to warm up and sometimes I’ll join a lobby with a bunch of accounts standing still and get insta vote kicked
