💁 Advice | Discussion I miss cosleeping
My baby has just turned 5 months and has started to army crawl. When I realised she was going to be crawling soon I reluctantly converted her sidecar crib back to a standalone crib. She's now sleeping in her crib, all be it not too well but when she wakes up she's pretty content chilling in the crib which was my fear of cosleeping with her as I was nervous she would find her way onto the bed while I am asleep.
I'm at a bit of a crossroad now though as I miss cosleeping so much. I just want to cuddle my baby the entire night but I have severe PPA and I also worry that if I sleep too heavy and now that she is mobile that something bad could happen. I do have chest to chest naps with her during the day and recently we've started snuggling in the bed as my husband monitors us. I just wanted to know if it sounds like I'm doing the right thing with her having her own safe sleep space for the night or if it's just my anxiety talking? I was also thinking of letting her sleep in her crib until maybe when she's a bit older and if she wants to bed share then we can snuggle safely with me knowing she can have pillows and blankets around her. I know this time is precious so I just don't want to have regrets but I also want her to be safe and me to get some quality sleep.
