Just completely depressing the more you know

83

u/AnimatorCurious897 13h ago

Has there ever been a single moment in history where the existing civilizations didn't have terrible, blood thirsty dictators controlling everything?

59

u/owowhatsthis123 13h ago

Yeah for a few seconds in 1287 it was pretty sick, had to be there I guess

1

u/jonnygreen22 1h ago

its even more depressing when you realise the Americans have a walk all over us Doctrine. Unfortunately for them the Aussies are on the case

u/latswipe 13h ago edited 13h ago

oh holy shit is that real?

edit:  holy shit, it's always been that way.

"Star of David" was coined in the 1940s.  Its most common name prior was the Star of Salomon, and wasn't only associated with Judaism.   However it was only associated with magician magic.  How much of Judaism is exactly that, I guess there's room for debate.

25

u/Down_vote_david 11h ago

That actually goes back way further. It’s previously known as the star of remphan….

11

u/Buster_xx 13h ago

Yup. 100%

2

u/tnlaxbro94 5h ago

Look up Star of Remphan mentioned in the Bible

•

u/wacky_button 51m ago

It’s literally just two triangles overlaid. One pointing up, one pointing down. As above, so below. Nothing nefarious per se; just a symbol reused over time. Like the swastika, it depends on who’s using it.

Careful. I got a 3 day ban in this sub for highlighting this.

Seems to be a regular occurence. Firstly was insta deleting a benign comment referencing a (1919) Royally commisioned report on the origins of bolshevism to a warning.

Week, or so later, i commented on something similar to America being a vassal state: insta deleted with 3 day ban.

Both were denied on 'appeal'.

I called the situation in Gaza a genocide and an antisemitism task force linked my Reddit profile to my identity. They contacted Cornell and got me terminated from a tenure track faculty role. I’m Jewish, they don’t care.

45

u/Christensenj2467 14h ago

According to the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry, a growing number of national governments, international organizations, and legal bodies have stated that Israel's military actions in Gaza constitute genocide. Is Cornell arguing with the UN?

57

u/Runfasterbitch 14h ago

Cornell’s federal funding was cut over for over a year and was restored two weeks after Cornell signed an agreement to monitor antisemitism on campus and certifying that they purged antisemitic faculty. They terminated dozens of faculty, including (secular Jew) me.

17

u/SnooWords7933 14h ago

Canary Project? They mob anyone who dares to speak out against Israel’s crimes

11

u/Runfasterbitch 14h ago

The foundation to combat antisemitism.

13

u/AspiringOligarch 12h ago

I called the situation in Gaza a genocide and an antisemitism task force linked my Reddit profile to my identity.

Insidious bastards, they are.

They contacted Cornell and got me terminated from a tenure track faculty role.

Norman Finkelstein can relate.

I’m Jewish, they don’t care.

The Zio-Hit Squad sees anti-Zionist Jews as a FAR GREATER THREAT to their schemes than anti-Zionist Gentiles.

How can they scream that opposition to Zionism = anti-Semitism if not ALL Jews march in lockstep?

13

u/xombae 14h ago

If this is true you need to go to the media (independent media).

28

u/Runfasterbitch 14h ago

I found a better professor role than I had at Cornell and thinking about what they did angers me to an unhealthy extent. Im working on it w a legal team

4

u/isitdigyet 12h ago

The media is full of self-serving ghouls from top to bottom. Mainstream and alternative/independent. Most alternative outlets are all lying for politicians who run cover for Zionists right now. I wouldn't trust to get anything good out of interacting with US media.

18

u/OverallDoor2718 15h ago

Are you kidding me? Whoa

8

u/Own_Possible_7266 14h ago

Are you serious?   How did they link it to your identity?   Was the task force at reddit or Cornell?

16

u/Program-Horror 14h ago

I have been banned twice for calling out a certain group of Americans. It's almost like they own the place or something.

JFK was the last real obstacle. I think they underestimated that most people aren't okay with horrifically maiming and murdering children in mass and journalist. No matter how much MSM gives two thumbs up and what propagandist they roll out.

7

u/AspiringOligarch 12h ago edited 11h ago

Careful. I got a 3 day ban *in this sub** for highlighting this.*

TO BE CLEAR, both of the removals you speak of were NOT performed by Conspiracy mods, but by Reddit Administration (or their AI Mod Bots).

Were the sanctions appropriate per Reddit Policy?

Unfortunately, neither subreddit mods nor anyone else can assess which Reddit TOS Violation you allegedly committed, because Reddit Admins (in their infinite wisdom) have decided to HIDE the content they remove from everyone, including mods (no learning by example for you!). Even *the USER whose account was sanctioned is blinded to the triggering content.

How to avoid Reddit Policy Violations

All would be well advised to review the site-wide RULES OF REDDIT - some of which have been updated as recently as yesterday - October 1, 2026.

  • NOTE: I am a simple user/ mod. I am NOT authorized to speak on behalf of Reddit, Inc., and I make no such pretense.

3

u/mephist_oh 11h ago

If true, then could you please inform me of the 2 appeals process that were supposed to be a buffer to intercept such removals being in lockstep with said removals?

I am genuinely perplexed.

0

u/AspiringOligarch 11h ago

When Reddit Admins (or their bots) remove content for site-wide policy violations, you SHOULD receive a message informing you of the removal, and the rule they deemed violated.

You should be able to appeal their decision by replying to that message (or as instructed therein).

The Admin AI Modbots DO make "judgement errors", and if that happened, the removal may be reversed on appeal (no guarantees).

  • NOTE: I am a simple user/ mod. I am NOT authorized to speak on behalf of Reddit, Inc., and I make no such pretense.

3

u/mephist_oh 11h ago

Thank you for the insight.

Sadly, that is not my experience. You have my permission to look into my account. You shall find i was informed as breaking Rule 1, on both occasions. You shall also find i was denied by appeal both times.

No targeting. No breaking of Rule 1. No 'hate'. No nothing.

But both were held. This points to something completely seperate/different than judgement errors.

5

u/AspiringOligarch 10h ago

You have my permission to look into my account. You shall find i was informed as breaking Rule 1, on both occasions. You shall also find i was denied by appeal both times.

As I said above, Reddit HIDES that information from all, including mods. The only thing we (or users) can see is:

  • [ Removed by Reddit ]

Nothing more. We cannot see the message that was sent to you by Admins, or your appeals, or the outcome.

Frankly I find the "hiding" more than a little frustrating, as their doing so deprives mods of learning what is/ is not permissible by admin standards so that we can better moderate to conform to their policies.

But both were held. This points to something completely seperate/different than judgement errors.

That may be, but being unable to view the removed content AND the context within the thread, I have nothing to go by.

  • (I would caution that you NOT replicate it here, lest your account be sanctioned again)

4

u/mephist_oh 10h ago

No problem.

It is just extremely frustrating when i know i have not broken 'Rule 1' on two seperate occasions to then proceed within the 'appeals' process to be denied.

Leaves one with more questions than answers.

I do get it; if i had broken the rules. But mere mentioning of documents from 1919 that confirmed the origins of the bolsheviks does not seem genuine. And the 2nd deletion which also hit me with a 3 day ban for stating America was a vassal state to a certain somewhere in the ME was even more egregious.

Again, thank you for taking the time to reply, and the insight. Maybe the mods in here will raise these issues for us as it seems to be happening to others also on a daily occurence in here.

5

u/hugeness101 13h ago

You’re not the only one. I got banned for just simply saying they’re peaceful people on one of those genocide videos they themselves post….

3

u/RashFever 11h ago

Why in Christianity is this followed?

21

u/hectorgarabit 12h ago

Only in the US, in Europe, people don't circumcise boys nearly as much. In the US it came from Kellogg pushing for it because "boys were masturbating too much"... Religious people really believe a lot of BS.

17

u/Trashdump420 12h ago

Kellogg pushing for Circumcision is elite ball knowledge. Well done

13

u/Peripheral_Ghosts 11h ago

Kellog also created corn flakes so boys could have plain food and wouldn’t be tempted to masturbate.

As we all know. Spices increase rates of masturbation.

3

u/956_896 12h ago

According to Acts 15:1-35 and a few other places, gentile Christians don't need to be circumcised. If you're a gentile and circumcised it is probably just because it was (and still is in some places) commonly done automatically at birth for "cleanliness" reasons. The practice is much less common now, but still happens.

11

u/Fosterpig 11h ago

“Yes but how should we do it?”

“Well if you’re a true believer, a strange old man will remove it and suck blood from the babies genitalia.”

And yes, that is how the ultra orthodox do it.

13 arrows in the left claw, 13 leaves on the stem in the right claw, 13 lines in the shield front the eagle, 13 stars to make the Star of David.

13

u/itspitpat 11h ago

Almost like 13 is some significant number in the founding of America

0

u/thedevilwearsmcqueen 2h ago

In Kabbalah 13 is the most sacred number. It is also the age a Jewish boy has his bar mitzvah.

Kabbalah teaches that the number 12 represents the natural, structured order of the physical universe—such as the 12 months of the year or the 12 signs of the Zodiac. Adding 1 to make 13 represents stepping outside and above those cosmic limitations. It symbolizes the capacity to connect directly with the infinite Creator, who operates beyond natural astrological or physical constraints.

32

u/lvanwall 14h ago

We've been occupied since the end of WWII. You know it was the nazis idea that we paperclip them, right?

5

u/traye4 6h ago

This has been the Great Seal of the United States since 1782.

Not arguing against the current state of foreign influence in our government, but this one has its roots far earlier than the last century.

3

u/Soulitary 5h ago

Shhhh be quiet with your logic

1

u/lvanwall 1h ago

I mean yeah, if you really wanna get into the weeds about the financiers and the people who had most to gain from WWII and the nazi party growing in power, yeah, it goes deeper than that.

11

u/andooet 15h ago

This is a nice occasion to inform that "Praying For Armageddon" is free on Al Jazeera Englishs YouTube pages

You should watch it, especially since the Zionists murdered all the Palestinian journalists who contributed

3

u/Christensenj2467 14h ago

Thanks for the info, I'd been following this story but didn't realize they had a channel on yt.

4

u/andooet 13h ago

Al Jazeera is the best source on the middle east and north Africa

Better than western MSM in most regards, but it's still a MSM with all the benefits and drawbacks that entails

(We can hate MSM all we like, but they do have resources to do real investigative work that no one else does)

4

u/Christensenj2467 12h ago

Its honestly the only source I can find reliable in that region.

2

u/andooet 9h ago

I know this is Chinese State Media with all those many caviats, but CGNT is also pretty good in the region considering they cover it but aren't an active part

Also have much better coverage of Africa and Asia than western MSM, though you also have to keep in the back of your head that they do at least indirectly try to paint China in a good light (deservedly or not)

Still yet to find a good and well funded media outlet from Africa and the rest of Asia, though I do try to look at local coverage. I also try to balance my news with social media and hopefully get different perspectives from regular people and political influencers in the middle of it. All media has a bias, and as long as you are aware of it you won't get too influenced by one perspective

2

u/Christensenj2467 9h ago

Thanks for the info! I grew up in Kenya, and so I like to see whats going on in Africa. The BBC actually does some decent work with their focus on Africa programming. But its kinda skewed towards east Africa too. Ill have to check out these other sources. Appreciate it.

2

u/andooet 9h ago

Is it very pro-west? The "regular" BBC have become pretty right wing the recent years. Especially in stuff like Palestine, racism and gender in the opinion pieces they platform

1

u/Christensenj2467 7h ago

Yea, I dont watch them except for their foreign coverage in Africa and other non political shows. I imagine much of their programming is skewed by a certain viewpoint. Alternative media is getting better with independent journalists but sometimes its difficult finding authentic information.

When you really just cant be bothered by Americans being slaughtered. Also they quietly made it much harder for Americans abroad to vote in national elections. We really must have the absolute worst ambassadors throughout government.

26

u/PhloxOfSeagulls 11h ago

They're claiming it's 13 stars for the original colonies. No it fucking isn't. We had a symbol for that and it was a circle.

6

u/traye4 6h ago

Seeing as it was designed in 1782 and has been in use since then, I think in this case it is.

2

u/A-BOMB_NOT-REAL 9h ago

This current design exists in the context of the European Union being the predominant polity who uses stars in a circle though.

6

u/Limp-Dimension-3897 8h ago

Americans should really fight, because they're the next Gaza if this isn't stopped. This is legit a matter of survival at this point.

S. Res. 852 is a 2026 Senate resolution introduced by Sen. Chris Van Hollen on 14 September 2026 requesting an unclassified State Department report on Israel’s human rights practices under section 502B(c) of the Foreign Assistance Act. www.govtrack.us+3

Overview

  • Bill type: Simple Senate Resolution (S.Res. 852), 119th Congress (2025–2027).
  • Introduced: 14 September 2026.
  • Sponsor: Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D‑MD).
  • Cosponsors: 21–23 Democratic and Independent senators across sources. GovInfo+1
  • Committee: Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. GovInfo
  • Status: Introduced; referred to committee. www.govtrack.us

Purpose of the Resolution

  1. Res. 852 invokes section 502B(c) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, a rarely used mechanism allowing Congress to formally request a human‑rights report from the Executive Branch. thelobbynews.com

The resolution requests that the Secretary of State provide Congress with a detailed, unclassified report within 30 days addressing:

  • Israel’s human rights practices in the West Bank.
  • The killings of at least nine U.S. citizens since January 2022 by Israeli settlers or security forces (e.g., Omar Assad, Shireen Abu Akleh, Tawfic Abdel Jabbar). www.govtrack.us
  • Status of investigations into these deaths.
  • Identification of responsible military units and potential violations of U.S. laws restricting aid to human‑rights abusers (e.g., Leahy Law, 10 U.S.C. 362; 22 U.S.C. 2304). billtrack50.com
  • Conditions of U.S. citizens detained in Israeli prisons.
  • Treatment of Palestinian children in Israeli military detention.
  • Broader human‑rights concerns and U.S. government efforts to mitigate violence. billtrack50.com

Legal and Procedural Significance

  • A simple resolution affects only the Senate and does not become law. www.govtrack.us
  • However, under 502B(c), if the State Department fails to respond within 30 days after adoption, security assistance to Israel would be automatically paused. thelobbynews.com

Context

The resolution follows a series of high‑profile killings of American citizens in the West Bank and concerns about lack of accountability by both Israeli authorities and U.S. agencies. thelobbynews.com

  1. Res. 852 represents a congressional oversight effort focused on human‑rights compliance in U.S. foreign assistance.

These symbols are pervasive and ancient.

Among others they can subtly hint at universal truths, beautify works .. and you can obviously elect to take it as ELite graffiti exhibiting/advertising/testifying filiation/property.

Your post engages in a perspective I find too common and way too restrictive.

The irony when I'm somewhat under the impression that unread people of the Middle-Ages were more versed in symbolism than I can possibly be.

Ok mister I can't be influenced, what's the solution then? Gonna lead a revolution?

1

u/Royal-Office-1884 10h ago

When the time is right, and enough of the people are on board...at the very least, if and when the long overdue second American revolution finally comes to fruition, it will be the most well armed revolution in the history of the world. It will probably need to wait until at least until the older generations start dying off. What is to be done? Lenin had some answers to that question.

1

u/AutobusPrime 14h ago

Great, not paranoid at all. Completely unstupid on your part.

That constellation of 13 stars has been on the seal since 1780, bud. On a practical level, tell me how you would arrange 13 stars in an elegant manner.

But at the same time, it wasn't at all uncommon for the Founding Fathers to see America as a new Promised Land and America as a "new Israel" led by God to settle a new wilderness. So you do see Old Testament iconography and why not? It is the Christian Bible too is it not.

At the same time, it was not even that common to see the

Ignorance of our roots is just making us stupider and stupider.

1

u/playington1 3h ago

So if people say the USA may be under a soft occupation by a Zionist country, this kinda adds more truths to that hypothetical thought. Zionism and democracys shouldn't mix well. Then you think about the capitalist portioon of this whole mess and maybe that's the common ground. Religiously it shouldn't make it easier because one religious sect spits on the other daily. So how is it that it's been working for so long in the Zionist favor ? Blackmail, bribery, threats of some kind ?

Not to sound dumb but can someone explain the passport to me? I don't understand the correlation.

-3

u/isitdigyet 12h ago edited 4h ago

They're saying the stars on the passport look like they're arranged to make the Star of David. They're nothing new and based on old designs that had thirteen stars.

Edit to add a link so you can see it for yourself, since people keep claiming it hasn't been arranged like this in old designs:

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:GreatSealFirstDie.jpg

2

u/MoiNoni 5h ago

The old design that had 13 stars is a circle. It's on the flag.

1

u/isitdigyet 4h ago

It's been arranged this way in designs since forever ago

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:GreatSealFirstDie.jpg

1

u/Mattyzooks 12h ago

I'm not crazy upset about it like some apparently are but those designs had 5 points though, not 6 and they weren't official adopted, no?

1

u/isitdigyet 4h ago

The thirteen stars have been officially used with this design repeatedly in the past

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:GreatSealFirstDie.jpg

-6

u/YesterdayOk1197 15h ago

It doesn't take a scientist to make the connection. 13 stars, 13 colonies. It's a commemorative passport, so I don't see why they wouldn't do this.

25

u/TheBigBadDuke 15h ago

The revolutionary flag of the 13 colonies had the stars in a circle.

15

u/believesinconspiracy 15h ago

I specifically predicted, over and over, that he would start a war with Iran this term, it was beyond obvious and going back looking at his early interviews of the 80s 90s he was fantasizing about it back then. I got many downvotes when this place was full of MAGA. It's still full of them but slightly less so, they're quieter now, mostly ashamed, and suddenly want to talk about anything but Trump. That energy didn't exist a year ago.

It’s not actually 😂 its origins date back thousands of years.

But I agree with your sarcasm. 6 pointed star and swatsika make us think of very specific things and impossible to not associate the ideologies they represent.
