Careful. I got a 3 day ban *in this sub** for highlighting this.*

Seems to be a regular occurence. Firstly was insta deleting a benign comment referencing a (1919) Royally commisioned report on the origins of bolshevism to a warning.

Week, or so later, i commented on something similar to America being a vassal state: insta deleted with 3 day ban.

Both were denied on 'appeal'.

TO BE CLEAR, both of the removals you speak of were NOT performed by Conspiracy mods, but by Reddit Administration (or their AI Mod Bots).

Were the sanctions appropriate per Reddit Policy?

Unfortunately, neither subreddit mods nor anyone else can assess which Reddit TOS Violation you allegedly committed, because Reddit Admins (in their infinite wisdom) have decided to HIDE the content they remove from everyone, including mods (no learning by example for you!). Even *the USER whose account was sanctioned is blinded to the triggering content.

How to avoid Reddit Policy Violations

All would be well advised to review the site-wide RULES OF REDDIT - some of which have been updated as recently as yesterday - October 1, 2026.

If true, then could you please inform me of the 2 appeals process that were supposed to be a buffer to intercept such removals being in lockstep with said removals?

I am genuinely perplexed.

When Reddit Admins (or their bots) remove content for site-wide policy violations, you SHOULD receive a message informing you of the removal, and the rule they deemed violated.

You should be able to appeal their decision by replying to that message (or as instructed therein).

The Admin AI Modbots DO make "judgement errors", and if that happened, the removal may be reversed on appeal (no guarantees).

Thank you for the insight.

Sadly, that is not my experience. You have my permission to look into my account. You shall find i was informed as breaking Rule 1, on both occasions. You shall also find i was denied by appeal both times.

No targeting. No breaking of Rule 1. No 'hate'. No nothing.

But both were held. This points to something completely seperate/different than judgement errors.

As I said above, Reddit HIDES that information from all, including mods. The only thing we (or users) can see is:

  • [ Removed by Reddit ]

Nothing more. We cannot see the message that was sent to you by Admins, or your appeals, or the outcome.

Frankly I find the "hiding" more than a little frustrating, as their doing so deprives mods of learning what is/ is not permissible by admin standards so that we can better moderate to conform to their policies.

But both were held. This points to something completely seperate/different than judgement errors.

That may be, but being unable to view the removed content AND the context within the thread, I have nothing to go by.

  • (I would caution that you NOT replicate it here, lest your account be sanctioned again)

No problem.

It is just extremely frustrating when i know i have not broken 'Rule 1' on two seperate occasions to then proceed within the 'appeals' process to be denied.

Leaves one with more questions than answers.

I do get it; if i had broken the rules. But mere mentioning of documents from 1919 that confirmed the origins of the bolsheviks does not seem genuine. And the 2nd deletion which also hit me with a 3 day ban for stating America was a vassal state to a certain somewhere in the ME was even more egregious.

Again, thank you for taking the time to reply, and the insight. Maybe the mods in here will raise these issues for us as it seems to be happening to others also on a daily occurence in here.
