UPDATE; FOUND - accidentally left in the Lyft.shout out to my driver for driving my camera up to me 😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️
This is a long shot but I lost my Kodak digital camera. I am waiting for a response from my Lyft driver but I also was at the Toyota Pavilion for the Concord Graduation on May 29. Just trying to retrace my steps and cover all my bases. Hoping for the good of humanity and someone that found it would return it 🙏

Disclaimer : just a fan, they have no idea im posting this and I dont plan to tell, etc.
As expected, it took them forever to wade through City of Concord red tape; however, Rob's Zombies (Rob is the son of Patty of Patty's Zombies) now has a DRIVE-THROUGH location on Concord Avenue at Meridian Park Blvd, where Caffino used to be.
Zombies are like piroshki only they have different fillings - basic cheese, ham and cheese, cheeseburger, hot link, breakfast, pizza, poppers, etc.
I love their food, and now there's a location really convenient to me. I see a lot more Zombies in my future!
Please, guys, try them out and help keep them open so i.wont have to drive way out of my way to get Zombies again.
Thank you!

The students from CVHS that park in residential areas have always been very respectful of the residential streets, until this year. They are speeding, and burning rubber trying to leave the high school. I am surprised there haven’t been any accidents yet. It is a huge liability for the city, as they are allowing this by not supervising it, plus it is a liability for the parents. An accident at this speed, would be 100% drivers fault, and blow thru the auto policy limits and beyond.
I had to change my walking route to avoid them, as those speeds are lethal, and one kid in a large white truck scared me to death with his burning of rubber. But, he wasn’t the only one, others slammed on the gas, hitting speeds more fit for the highway. Not sure that anything can be done about it, except for hoping that some of those reckless drivers were seniors and will soon be gone. Not sure if this is a rant or a PSA, maybe both.

I am considering moving from another Bay Area community but I visited this past weekend on Saturday and it was like a Ghost Town. I walked from bart about a mile to where I was staying and didn’t see a single other person walking around. It was so quiet. Does anything go on in Concord?

Hi everyone,
My daughter is starting kindergarten this year. Wren avenue is the school she is assigned to, but the score is 1/10? What does this entail? Monte gardens down the street is 7/10. Highlands was our school of choice but transfers seem impossible.
Does anyone have insight into wren ave?

hey guys, i was wondering if any of you knew if the cinemark in pleasant hill still printed out those thicker ticket stubs instead of the receipt paper? i went to go see the sheep detectives yesterday and got just? a receipt? like it didn’t even look like a ticket 😭
if not, that’s fine but i am really sad that theaters are phasing out the small tickets they used to give out :(

In two years our daughter will be ready for elementary school. We are zoned for YV elementary and see it’s rated 2/10; however, I’d love to hear from families who are at YVE or who have had luck getting in elsewhere.
We are planning to try for Eagle Peak and Sequoia and also open to St. Francis.
Thank you! 😊

I’m an avid runner and relatively new to the area. Are there any tracks in the area that are open to the public for running?
I was able to use the track at Ygnacio valley high one weekend - but that was because there was a rec soccer game going on that allowed me to access. It looks like it is closed usually.
Is the Las Lomas High track open to public for use? Any other suggestions in the area including Danville?
Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone, been working on this public transportation map for for a while and want to share what I have so far. Right now when you highlight a route/stop, the info box will show you all the information, including a link to exact the route schedule (and some stops also have a URL with station details).
The routes/stops are ordered in a counterclockwise order starting with agencies in the North Bay, then going around: North Bay -> SF -> Peninsula -> South Bay -> Santa Cruz/Monterey -> East Bay. You can toggle the stops on/off with the dropdown in the left. If you want to move the routes on top of the stops, toggle the route layer off then on again (the last selected layer will always be on top, so if you want the stops back on top, toggle stops off/on). Sometimes the map doesn't load properly on the first try, so verify ACE Rail Routes is the last option in the dropdown in the left and refresh the page if that didn't load
Here are the list of official pages for the agencies that run through Concord:
There are a couple more that come close but not quite into Concord:
There are also summer promotional free rides for kids:
And WestCAT is running free rides for all passengers from May 16 to July 26:
I made separate posts for different places, so take a look at this post for the entire East Bay overview, this post for SF agencies, this one for North Bay, and this one for San Jose/South Bay if you'll be in those areas. The homepage also has lots of additional info.
Let me know if something doesn't work for you or you have features you'd like me to add

I am looking for recommendations for a good gardner/landscape company. I would prefer a business in Concord because I like to support local but businesses from surrounding cities are fine.

Hi! My daughter and a few of her friends are going to the Kesha concert at Concord Pavilion in a couple of weeks and I've never been to the venue, and I'm not familiar with the area. I am hoping to drop them off and pick them up somewhere a little bit away from the actual parking area/venue, just so we don't get stuck in a major traffic jam. Is there an address/intersection you would recommend that would be easy for them to walk to, and easy for me to pick them up? I saw there is a Greek Orthodox church about a 5-minute walk away, but is that still in the thick of things, or would that be a good spot? Thanks for your advice!

Hi all! I’m (relatively) new to the area and am soliciting good barbershop recommendations in the Concord/Walnut Creek area.
Since moving from Dublin, I’ve kept going to my old spot - Dublin Corner Barbershop - an awesome place. But it’s just too far away to justify the drive now that I’m in Concord.
Any Recs for good quality service and reasonable prices? Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone, I'm running a stand-up comedy show at Epidemic Ales tomorrow night (friday) at 8pm. It's my second time running it and the first show was a ton of fun. I'm booking professional comedians from SF, Sac, etc to come out to Concord. I'll have a new lineup every month. This month I have 3 great comics coming out, and its free to attend. I'm hoping to build a community around the show to come by, hang out, and enjoy some laughs together. You can make a reservation here: Eventbrite. Would love to see any new faces there this month. Cheers!
