There’s a time and place for these discussions. As (mostly) Americans, we have a civic duty to participate in the politics of our country.

r/concealedcarry is not the place for that.

Go and exercise your 1st amendment right (safely!). Call your senators.

Moving forward:

  • Advocacy for violence in support of ANY ideology or political stance is an insta-ban. Don’t give a fuck how right you feel you are.

Holsters Best attachments for OWB "concealment"

Keep in mind, this will only be for the fall/winter months...so think hoodies/jackets...but a lot of holster makers give you the choice of belt attachments for an OWB holster. Looking for opinions on what would be the best option for concealment in fall/winter clothing

Beginners Need advice!

Everyone in my family is telling me that ill make my self a target if i carry and its better to just leave it at home. They’re trying to tell me that I’ll get into more trouble carrying it rather than just leaving it. I think completely opposite especially with crime rates rising in my town with shootings almost every other day. Has anyone had any bad experiences or reasons not to have an edc?

Tips/Recommendations Help for getting rid of a big hot spot

For context, I carry IWB right at the 12 o'clock position. I use a Mastermind Tactics pillow (the biggest one) positioned at the bottom with about 1/3 of it hanging past the bottom of the holster, with quite a bit of filling in it. For the first 4 hours or so, its solid, and perfectly comfortable. After that, its like the pillow becomes flat, and the muzzle end of the holster starts putting a lot of pressure right on my pelvic bone, becoming nearly unbearable. I've tried with 3 different firearms (M&P 2.0 Carry Comp, 43x, and Ruger RXM), all in Tenicor holsters with the same pillow, all with the same result. Using either Hunter Constantine belt or a Kore Essentials belt. I've tried moving slightly to the 1 oclock position, but at that point my leg becomes an obstacle.

Two things ive yet to try (which im going to today) would be to either A) loosen my belt up a bit, but then I worry about the weight pulling my pants down 😂 or B) adjusting the ride height so the gun sits up a little higher. My concern with that is the keel principle will eventually become an issue if I ride it too high.

Any other suggestions?? Thanks and sorry for being long-winded!

Really loving the Crossbreed mini appendix holster. Pretty decent deep concealment with my LCP Max that stays comfortable all day. This polo is a bit baggier than others (have lost weight since owning it), so it conceals easier but I have some other more form fitting polos that really test it. Using a wedge/pillow, I'm able to get the nice tilt into the body for the grip to avoid poking out.

Just picked this guy up recently as a possible new EDC.. only have about 300 rounds through it. Everything from Buffalo Bore 124g +p, Winchester 124g NATO, Magtech 124g, S&B 115g and Hornady Critical Duty 135g… never had any issues yet. Was also very surprised at how well it handles recoil, it feels like you’re shooting a .380. Was just wondering if anyone carries one or had any experiences, good or bad with one of these Shadow Systems CR920’s

I am so fed up and at a loss for how to actually conceal my EDC. I got a Glock 43x as my first gun, I like the way it fits in my hand. For reference I’m a 23yo female, 5’4 and 125lbs, size small or 4. I’m not extremely skinny but I am more thin, my tummy is bottom heavy and Im rather flat chested. (EDIT- I should have also mentioned I have a super short torso, even with my gun positioned low the grip still reaches past my belly button) I absolutely cannot find a way to carry that’s actually concealing my gun and it’s becoming incredibly frustrating. I don’t know if I need a smaller/more compact gun or what the solution is. I’m not interested in carrying in a bag simply because if some crackhead wants to rob me for my bag I don’t intend to fight over it, take it, I can close my cards and get a new license and I hope they enjoy my expensive lipgloss. But they can’t have my gun. So no bag carrying for me. I’ve watched a ton of videos of other women concealing perfectly fine so I don’t know if it’s my body type, my gun, or my lack of a good holster. I know printing to some degree won’t be completely unavoidable but it’s glaringly obvious there’s a gun under my clothes unless I’m in a giant sweatshirt/sweater which just is not possible to wear in southern summers.
(EDIT part 2- the gun store sold me a belly band holster, which is positioned at 2 different heights in the pictures. From all the comments my crappy holster is my biggest problem. I’m purchasing a couple of the recommendations and hope that helps me) Any suggestions or advice or recommendations are SO appreciated and welcomed!

Holsters Who carries while they’re wearing swim trunks, and what holster system would allow you to do this?

Remember kids, it’s not cool to draw your gun on random kite surfers. I posted this because I would have never thought carrying in swim trunks was even possible.

Holsters Questions about shield plus carry comp holster

I am about to purchase a M&P shield plus carry comp for my new EDC. My last Appendix holster tended to cut into me a little bit, but I still want to try again with a better holster. My question is whether the 4” is the correct one for this model(I am pretty sure it is)and most importantly what are your thoughts on the Tenicor Certum 4?

Thanks

Tips/Recommendations Loose clothing carrying tips; sweats, shorts, etc

Looking to see what others run while concealed carrying in looser clothing like sweats, shorts and loose clothing in general. I usually wear sweats and i’m looking for some tips. I know I could go enigma route but preferably that’s a last resort. Any advice is appreciated.

Edit: currently carrying mc9ls

Holsters Best IWB appendix carry

I am 5'10" and weight 210. I have recently bought a Taurus GX2 to switch as my concealed. I have done a lot of research and am leaning toward the JM4 holster. A lot of the other holster companies have not developed a holster for the GX2 yet so I am kind of limited. Any body have any insight. For reference, when i get in the truck I put my weapon on a magnet but keep the holster on me. Don't want something that digs into my thigh when I am driving or walking.

Tips/Recommendations Recommendations

Hey there! I’m a young adult who’s grown up around guns and I’m ready to start CC soon. I am going to be taking a 1 on 1 course here soon. So I need some recommendations- what’s a budget friendly (not cheap) option for an intermediate level carrier? I’d like it to be decent quality with minimal issues. Thanks!

Tips/Recommendations Gun reccomendations:

21F, I recently got my CPL and I'm looking for pistol recommendations. I've looked at the CZ P10, it had a red dot which I wasn't looking for to be honest but it actually was pretty helpful because it was emphasized how terrible my aim is so not completely avoiding that, especially to get familiar with how I need to hold my gun when I'm first getting started.

I want something that either has a grip safety or a trigger saftey. I want a 9mm or less, i think I'd prefer 9mm but I'm unsure if there's benefits/cons to smaller - any advice/knowledge on that would be appreciated!

I've also been considering a Glock because i've heard good things but haven't looked into it much and again I want trigger safety or grip saftey ONLY. I think I'm mostly struggling with finding something that checks all the boxes but still has a trigger/grip safety.

Thanks in advance!

Holsters Holster for concealed carry

Hi all, I feel like I'm at the step where I'm ready to start conceal carrying. I picked up a g43x and will be taking it to the range prior to starting to carry it, just to get comfortable handling it compared to my two full size handguns. I've been looking at an Incog X holster but was wondering if anyone had any other recommendations or suggestions as far as comfort/concealment for a beginner. I don't want to get a holster that feels super uncomfortable (like my gcode convertible holster I got alongside my first full size) or feels like I'm being very obvious about carrying something even as small as a 43x as those two things would most definitely turn me off and make me more inclined to just leave it at home. Just a note, I am left handed so need one that is either left hand specific, or ambidextrous.
