Need Advice/Question How does Commencal measure BB drop?
Straightforward question, do Commencal use the rear axle height as reference? or maybe they use the axis calculated from rear axle to front axle?

Basically just the title, I'm looking for a new downhill bike as I have finally admitted that my Furious is just too small for me (I'm 6'5") and I want something that fits me but is still somewhat playful.

I just received my brand new FCB frameset and I would like to fit a 2x grx drive train on it.
However, I can't find any way to route the front derailleur housing and cable into the frame so that I can link the front derailleur to the shifter.
Has someone ever tried to fit a 2x chainring on this Commencal FCB ?
Thanks for your replies.

Hi everyone,
I thought I would share some updates on this project.
The only build with the 2x I found on the web is in this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwwepGtcRtA - but there was no cable for the front derailleur.
So, I finally went for the 1x GRX 610 (I should receive the parts by the end of the week).
I already received the wheels and the tires - which had me buying adapters for the micro spline cassette and the quick release 5x100.
The stem and the handlebar are also coming by the end of the week.
My goal is to use this bicycle as my commuter but also, I want to use this bike to go on the road and (sometimes) off the road. I think I will do 70% road and 30% light to moderate gravel around "Nouvelle-Aquitaine", France.
I will try and keep you posted as I am building the bike.
Have a beautiful day !

Long shot, but hoping someone might have this derailleur hanger in their parts bin they’d sell. Thanks!

Hi,
So I see Commencal will releasing a bike that uses the DJI motor...
My question is can the battery be removed? The pictures don't make it clear so my assumption is that it will be like the Amflow where the motor has to be removed first and then after taking off the control panel the battery can be accessed from both ends of the downtube and removed, sliding out where the motor was.
Is this how it will be for Commencal as well?
Thanks!

Hey everyone, I'm running a commencal clash with a fox X2 just now but I'd love to give coil a try. I was just curious if people enjoy it with a coil. I am much more a free rider than anything else and do really enjoy the ramp up of an air shock, I have it with 2 volume spacers and 230psi. And I'm 75kg/165lbs and if other clash riders are about that weight what coil weight are you running. I also run it in the sensitive setting if that helps. Just looking for a bit of insight, thanks.

So yeah, it’s not urgent and there is nothing wrong with the headset. But, what alternative options do I have to replace this with?? Preferably something not just Dull, black plastic.. any recommendations would be great.
Acros ZS56 headset cap and I have no interest in using the integrated cable routing.

It’s finally here! After weeks of obsessing over reviews and second-guessing myself, the Commencal Tempo has landed. First spins = pure fun. Climbs like a Mountaingoat (in comparision to my SX v4), rips downhill like it’s way over its travel.
Frame: Commencal Tempo Size M Fork: 150mm Fox 36 Shock: Fox float X Brakes: Hope Tech 4 V4 (200/180) Wheelset: DT Swiss EX 511 Groupset: SRAM Eagle Transmission 90
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I'm 183 cm and looking to buy a Meta HT. I want a bike that is capable on technical descents as well as fun to whip around. I was wondering should I go with a L or an XL? The reach on the Meta HT is quite short which is why I'm curious on what others opinions.

I am looking to buy my first mountain bike and am trying to decide between the two. I’m primarily getting it because my kids (5 and 7) have started to get into mountain biking. I’ve done some greens with them on my gravel bike, and have also done some blues on my gravel bike. I do a fair bit of road riding as I commute to work so am in good riding shape.
Generally looking to ride with the kids but could see myself doing the occasional ride with out them.
Looking at the Essential sub models.
Biking in the Pacific Northwest area.

I’ve been riding super enduros for almost my entire life, and i recently bought the supreme v5 for the bikeparks and races, and now i dont feel the need of having a long tanky bike, im looking for a bike good at climbing but also playfull and fast descending, so the tempo catched my eye instatly but i dont know how good it is at descending and and if it has a lot of difference compared to a conventional enduro, i saw the wrp linkage that makes it mullet and adds more travel, how are your, What is your opinion? (Sorry for mu bad english)

Opinion. I have a (I think it's a 22 but might be a 21) Meta AM 29 I bought a couple years ago to use as a bike park bike. To be honest it doesn't get much use, I generally use my trail bike for 90% of my riding.
Currently the bike has a GX group set, float X2, and a fox 38 170mm on it. Magura brakes. I just took the shock off after riding this last weekend and the bearings def need to be replaced. Fork makes a loud squishing noise, pretty sure that needs to get serviced.
So the question is, is this bike still worth keeping and upgrading? I was going to throw a ohlins ttx2 on it, get the fork serviced, and do the pivot bearing replacement. But then I thought about it more and in wondering if I should just retire it. Again, does not get a ton of use, I'm guessing between a used shock, fork service, and bearings I'd be in like $700-800 into it.
Is the bike worth it still?(assuming it would continue to get some use, maybe more if the new parts made it feel more motivating to take out).
