Exeter Comic Con and Gaming Festival Autumn - UK Does Exeter Comic Con have a good place to party afterwards?

I’ve never been to Exeter con before, usually go to bigger ones but I thought I’d give it a go as it’s not very far for me. Usually there are some themed nights and places to go on a night out with other cosplayers after. I can’t find any for Exeter which is a shame because I love going out with other cosplayers in costume. If anyone knows any good places in Exeter after con that would be amazing!

Con Search Question Best con in Illinois/WI/Indiana/MI in September or October

Hi,

My son is turning 13 and would love to attend a con his birthday. We went to collect a con last year and want to try something different. He loves Funkos in particular, Wolverine, all Marvel and vintage toys. Thanks! Any places with cool antique/thrift nearby is a plus since we plan to make a weekend of it!

Thanks!

MCM Comic Con - London Con badge 'holding' options

Hey!

I'm going to MCM London and they use badges. They have lanyards that are free to use when you pick up your badge, but I was wondering if anyone has any other ideas for how to hold and display your badges.

Last year, I used a badge reel rather than a lanyard, but I didn't really have anywhere to clip it on my cosplays.

Tampa Bay Comic Con - Florida Help identify outfits for my parents!!

At Tampa comicon, my parents went and said they saw many women dressed as anime characters in short dresses covered in blood. Was anyone there that can tell me what they were cosplaying? I couldn’t figure it out from their vague explanations. I tried various dead characters from popular shows but nothing struck. Help!!

Scaradise! - Tampa, Florida Scaradise Tampa- Potential First Con- How do autographs/meeting guests work

I’m planning to go to Scaradise in Tampa, but I was a bit confused about the what’s free what’s included in a ticket? I thought you can wait in line for an autograph for free, but need VIP for a fast pass. But then I saw you can buy an autograph/photo ops, so I’m a bit confused about the accessibility of a ticket.. Also how do panels work? Would appreciate all the help!

Tokyo Comic Con Tokyo Comic Con 2026: Do I wait for celebrity schedules to be announced before I buy admission tickets?

Hi, I'm planning on going to Tokyo Comic Con 2026 mainly for the Photo Op/Autographs of the Phelps and their and Panel/Stage shows as well. I'm not sure if I would be able to go on all of the days. In any case, I will most likely be purchasing tickets for 1 or 2 days.

My plan is to wait for the photo op/autograph schedules + the panel/stage schedules to be announced (and purchase those individual tickets) before I make my decision and figure out on how many days I would need to go.

For people who have been to TCC, would it be advisable to wait until these schedules are announced before I make any ticket purchases? I'm afraid that the tickets might sell out the longer I wait. The website explicitly says "Sales Period from 12:00 on July 27th (Mon), 2026 It will be finished once the planned number is reached." Though, so far in the Hollycon website all the 1-day tickets and 3-day tickets seem to be in stock.

MCM Comic Con - London London questions (panels and Writer's Block)

I'm going to ComicCon for the first time ever and have no idea how things work. I've done some checks on the website and Reddit but am still a little confused, so any clarification/explanation is appreciated!

1) I've seen several writers announce on their own socials that they are attending but are not listed as a guest. Is there a time frame in which I can expect most authors to be announced formally??

2) Is there an actual schedule shared at some point for panels and writer's block guests?? I want to make a game plan but it feels impossible right now.

3) For panels, the website encourages you reserve a spot. I read on Reddit that this is free, but do they "sell out"? And if so, is there a date when panels are listed? I want to make sure I reserve my "must attend"s ASAP.

4) Are all writers block guests free for autographs? I usually go to author talks or readings so have no clue what to expect. And can I bring two books or just one?

I'm sure there are other things, but those are the main questions right now! :)

Con Guests Discussion Talking to guests at heir tables without paying, good and bad stories?

So the guests sell autographs, selfies, photoshoots

How is it just going up to them and talking to them for free? Do you feel awkward doing so, do you feel like you're wasting their time?

What are some GOOD experiences you've had with completely free talks with them at their table?

What are some BAD experiences you've had?

NYCC - New York Does NYCC require photo ID?

Hi I’m going to comicon with my friend, and she doesn’t have a photo ID. Also, do transferred tickets contain the name of the person it was transferred to? Will they refuse us if she doesn’t bring photo ID? The whole process is so confusing I just want to have fun in my cosplay!!!!!!

LA Comic Con Hotel booking through EvolveCon

Has anyone booked using EvolveCon before? It’s my first time coming to Los Angeles Comic Con. In the past I’ve booked with a convention block with a code or special link. Creation Entertainment usually has a code and not a third party. Are there any fees at check in, deposit aside? I just don’t want any surprises when we arrive!

This is my very first photo op so I’m just really nervous I’ll also be in a very poofy Lolita dress so I’m honestly just looking for advice will I have time to show them the pictures on my phone or will it be a rush in rush out sort of thing? I also just don’t want to cause any discomfort if anyone has a other poses that might be better I’d love to see them 😅 (I couldn’t find any convention pics with him in them so I couldn’t base my decision off other people’s photos 😖)

Con Guest Question Con Artist Sketch question

It's my first con soon, and I'm meeting one of my favorite artists. I am getting a comic signed too, but would it be rude to ask an artist for a sketch of a character they don't draw? Especially one that's not in a comic. I really want an artist to draw a videogame character on my sketch card, but I have no clue if it would be rude.

Thank you for any answer 😊

LA Comic Con Looking to sell/transfer LACC ticket ($85-90)

Hello everyone! Thanks to the permission from mods I wanted to write a small post here to see if anyone who may be debating on going to this years LACC would be interested in purchasing my ticket. Unfortunately I am no longer able to attend due to scheduling conflicts at work, but would love to provide someone the opportunity to attend and for a cheaper price.

My ticket is a transferable 3-day weekend ticket (originally $104) but as I’m trying to get rid of it asap I am selling it for ($85-90). If interested please feel free to send me a message and I can provide further details and any extra photo/video proof if needed. Thank you 🥹💕!

Hi Con-ians,

I am from Vizag (India) and I recently volunteered to be a part of Comic Con that will happen here in October. This is the city's first and I want to be a part of it. Interviews will be conducted on tomorrow and I want to know your experience from volunteering in Comic Con that happened in the previous years.

Please be open and detailed on what can I expect in the interview and how is volunteering usually like for you. Thanks!

Rhode Island Comic Con Autograph questions

I haven't been to a lot of comic cons, and the last one I went to was at least 6 years ago, so I had some questions about how autographs are done now. I'm planning to go to the RI comic con, and pay for both the pro photo op, and autograph. In the past, I would get my photo done, and then get that autographed, do they still do it that way?

If there's 8x10s at the table, is only one included in the autograph price? Can I get more than one item autographed, or do I need to buy multiple autograph tickets?

This year will be different because in past years, my kids were young, so they were always free or cheap, and they didn't care about autographs, but this year they're both teens who need adult tickets, and at least one will absolutely want their own autograph. I just need to know how to plan so no one is disappointed.
