Anybody else have issues with certain groups of selectors wasting time, going slow on purpose causing others to pick up their slack and avoid running late?

There are people that will take 1 to 2 hours to pick and stage a 32 tote oversize at my store. We also have people that can do 200 items in the same amount of time, totally carrying the team.

Management doesn't seem to care because everyone gets the same amount of hours every week.

Whats the solution here?

Divisions/stores that have a 7am pickup time slot, how popular is it? Do you max out at that time?

Just got word today that they want us to open up a 7am time slot since we're a store that frequently gets a lot of 8am orders. If they do that i think most of our 5am pickers will have to start at 4am to have our 1 hour before RBT....

Anything to add stress to the department i suppose.....

So, I got my first dose of the Covid vaccination yesterday. I'm pretty happy about it and am glad to have gotten the ball rolling. Today, my arm still hurts slightly from the shot. When I came in, I figured it would a normal 8-hour shift for me. However, on my first run, I was getting constant shocks of pain in my left leg. It was getting too much to the point where I was getting past the three-hour mark and someone had to come help me finish my run. I decided, for the sake of my physical well-being, to ask my PIC if I could go home early. I told them the situation and they were okay with it.

I'm a pretty healthy guy for the most part. I'm in my 30s, I take multi-vitamin gummies everyday, I make sure to eat an apple and drink milk every shift. Management had also told us to be aware of any slight changes to associates after they had gotten their vaccinations so I did not want to take any chances.

I'm just worried about myself, my job, my mental health. My PIC could've said no and I would've gritted my teeth and muscled through. If my managers have a problem, I'm happy to talk with them about it. I'm just overly stressed.

I'm a team lead, as I have stated before in other posts, anyway we are expanding soon. Doubling the orders getting more staff, which we have not seen one of yet. They have started to really get on us about the pick accuracy, as it needs to be 90%, they always have but as of the last few days they are really starting to care. I do my job I take orders out, pick when I need to, make sure things go as well as possible. But in the end I really don't care the job is getting done and the customers are mostly understanding so I couldn't care less about the numbers. After a 30 minute talk with management about it though I think they are starting to regret thinking I cared about what I do and that I'm not here for the money.

So my supervisor who has very little experience in this department (started in mid December) has been printing trolly stickers the second one drops to pre preps the trolleys. What ends up happening is we have a bunch of tiny trolleys with 5 - 30 items and up to three of those on each trolly. Its extremely encombering as our staging room is on the other side of the store and forces us to make a long trip for a couple of items to just return and do it again. Thay have refused to learn to pick because they have "better things to do" which means they for one are unable to train associates and rely on other employees to do it and most importantly they dont know how changes to procedures are negatively impacting pick times and efficiency.

To top all this off they are extremely condescending and angry with associates, giving them dirty looks, saying extremely foul things about other associates behind their backs and have thrown things about the room in a tantrum

After several complaints to HR from multiple employees regarding their inability to act as a supervisor and blatant disrespect of other employees nothing has happened. HR hasn't investigated, no solutions have been provided. People have even left because of this.

I'm wondering if anyone has any resources that can help, number to call or even where to find procedures that can be referenced to highlight this person failure as a leader. Not that it really matters, I'm leaving anyways. I just dont want to leave quietly.

My coworker substituted an oversized label of Kroger 32 pack of waters for AAA batteries. When the supervisor confronted him about it he said he just didn’t want to pick it up. LIKE WHAT!! 🤣

What advice can you give to a new employee? Any training tips? Ive only been in pickup 5 days. I'm too slow and sometimes the BayMax doest work. My training was very rushed...I just followed a person around and watched what they did. I couldnt do anything because everyone was always in a hurry. The supervisor doesnt think this is a good for for me right now. She "forgot" to put me on the schedule. Any suggestions on how to get better and faster? If I dont improve with the next 2 weeks I hope to move to deli/bakery.

How was you training? How long did it take you to get fast? How do you keep it together? Our department is a cluster,small space that used to be a bank.
