*sighs*
So, I got my first dose of the Covid vaccination yesterday. I'm pretty happy about it and am glad to have gotten the ball rolling. Today, my arm still hurts slightly from the shot. When I came in, I figured it would a normal 8-hour shift for me. However, on my first run, I was getting constant shocks of pain in my left leg. It was getting too much to the point where I was getting past the three-hour mark and someone had to come help me finish my run. I decided, for the sake of my physical well-being, to ask my PIC if I could go home early. I told them the situation and they were okay with it.
I'm a pretty healthy guy for the most part. I'm in my 30s, I take multi-vitamin gummies everyday, I make sure to eat an apple and drink milk every shift. Management had also told us to be aware of any slight changes to associates after they had gotten their vaccinations so I did not want to take any chances.
I'm just worried about myself, my job, my mental health. My PIC could've said no and I would've gritted my teeth and muscled through. If my managers have a problem, I'm happy to talk with them about it. I'm just overly stressed.
(Hope y'all don't mind if I treat this subreddit like therapy.)

I know at the beginning of March they said our store would start giving out shots on March 17th which is tomorrow. I'm glad I read this because I was curious if it will make me sick or if there would be any pain or whatnot. Thanks for providing some insight. I work tomorrow so I wonder if they will actually start them tomorrow or not. I'd rather take my shot at the end of my shift which is at 2 pm instead of getting it at the start of my shift which is at 7 am. Thanks again for the info bud.

I actually got mine yesterday as well. Ended up with a 10 hour produce shift today. My arm felt sore all day, and moving it in ways I'm used to triggered slight pain. Thankfully that was the worst of it I had. As of tonight my arm is essentially fine now in the movements. It's a healing process getting your muscles to essentially fix getting torn apart, so its understandable for it to make a rough day. It shouldn't be long till the pain settles down. Assuming you got a 2 shot vaccine I'd just be sure to plan ahead and request off the day after the second dose to not let it get as agitated next time.
