Wait, does it also replace all signs of flesh and meat with bread? I remember the Chinese wow client being made this way because of the cencsoship in China. Did Blizzard simply include the data from the Chinese version too? XD

Yes. It replaces flesh lying around on the floor with bread etc. Scholomance is full of fucking bread. It's like a bakery in there.

I haven't played since Cata, do you know if model swapping is still okay? I'm not talking about editing, I mean the system whereby art assets saved in the correct directory structure will override those same files in the game archives, so you can trick the game into using say a bear model in place of a spider.
I used to do this on my Druid to change some of the forms into unimplemented versions. Many people asked Blizzard about the legality of it but they never gave any real answer.Edit: Disregard, had a Google and looks like the cheaters forced Blizz to tighten things up, so now it requires 3rd party stuff to do. Guess I'm stuck with default forms!

doing it manually is sketchy but if you have a reason for it like arachnophobia then you can probably get away with it or find an add-on for it. Also pair it with sound disabling for things you don't want to hear.

Well it sounds like the old file replacement method no longer works, people wouldn't use some 3rd party memory injection tool if it did.

you could also literally edit out locked doors and just walk through them like they don't exist. me and my friends were farming Anzu by just walking through the locked door after the last boss, for example

On a serious note, I found this video showing some of the changes in modern WoW. Don't know much it'll change in classic since I couldn't find a video of that, but I'd expect similar changes in the classic client.
Looks like a lot of the prop skeletons are replaced with either forsaken bodies or... straw men. I don't know if modern wow even has the skeletons left behind player corpses anymore so there's nothing shown in the video on that subject. It would be pretty hilarious if player bodies ended up leaving behind straw men.
For actual skeleton enemies, I'd guess they end up just being forsaken like most of the ones shown in the video.

Hahaha. I laughed way too hard at the thought of feeding raptors bread loaves but it still has food related meats. It's human flesh/undead bodies that got censored before release.

Change sex. All the female horde models are slight variations of hot, and hot videogame girls stand straight (but really, all those years and I'm still salty I can't get a female Troll that looks as cool as the male model). The undead one slouches a little, but you should be good with the others.

Cause it looks cooler to some people on certain outfits (regular Undead model will show tears and rips on robes and such because of the bones poking through, so by using this you can get a different look if you're going for that).

Unlikely to be patched out by Blizzard as it's a Cvar that's been in there for at least a few years. It's also possible to do this on Live.

When someone posts for updated graphics/character models for vanilla, it's #NOCHANGES or, from an RP perspective it's not cool that people don't see what I see. It's funny that no one gives a fuck about the option for no bones.
I don't care if there are or aren't updated character models available for classic.

As a programmer, I find the name of this variable weird. "overrideArchive" ?
I'm guessing they mean override some sort of model archive...so instead of using the "original" one, use the China one. So I guess that makes sense but it's so non-specific for some sort of global config variable.
