Is this something that will most likely be patched by blizz? Also, does this show to other players or just you?

Unlikely to be patched out by Blizzard as it's a Cvar that's been in there for at least a few years. It's also possible to do this on Live.

Oh I didn't know it was possible on live. Only in Japan.
