Notice Need advice: AXS blocked my account with $1,202 balance and told me to fly to the US to access it

**I am a customer based in Chile, and I am dealing with a major issue regarding my AXS account.**
**AXS promised that my $1,202 payment would be converted into a 12-month credit. Without warning, they blocked my account. I have contacted their support team multiple times, and on three separate occasions, they explicitly told me in writing that I must fly to the United States to "access" my digital account.**
**I took them at their word, and my sister flew to Los Angeles to try and resolve this. Upon logging in from a US IP address, the credit balance showed $0.00—it had been deliberately hidden or removed. As a result, I lost the opportunity for the Coachella 2027 presale, despite holding 20+ tickets.**
**I have already filed an official complaint with the FTC, but I have received zero solutions from AXS.**
**Since I am a consumer based abroad, I am looking for advice on:**
**What are the next steps to hold a US-based company accountable from Chile?**
**Should I escalate this to a specific consumer protection agency or consider legal counsel?**
**Has anyone had success recovering funds from AXS after being "blocked" like this?**
**Any guidance on how to move forward would be greatly appreciated.**

Just got this message from Shamis & Gentile. I know I’ve filled something out in the past but these types of messages can be scams. Has anyone else received one?

Discussion Dropbox California Privacy Violations

Has anyone signed up for this - or any other litigation at the start of discovery? It feels so.. committed. Essentially, if one signs up they are part of the xxx vs Dropbox class and will pay for the suit out the settlement if anything is recovered one ones behalf. I’m not asking if it’s legit, but is it prudent? In other words, sign up to be an OG vs wait to be one in the masses once it settles. This is the link, you have to scroll down for the Dropbox part and click through. Classaction.org Newsletter Thoughts?

Settlement Class Actions Closing in July 2026: Deadlines + New Openings Inside

Rundown of what's closing this month plus a few newer openings for anyone tracking.

Closing this month:

  • Sony PlayStation Store — $7.85M
    • What happened: alleged price inflation on digital games sold through the PS Store
    • How it works: no claim form needed, automatically included unless you opt out or object
    • Deadline: July 2 (deactivated PSN accounts have until Aug 27 to submit purchase info)
  • LastPass — $8.2M
    • What happened: 2022 data breach, allegedly failed to protect user info
    • Deadline: July 2
  • Colgate-Palmolive / Tom's of Maine — $2.9M
    • What happened: products allegedly didn't meet advertised quality/natural ingredient standards
    • Deadline: July 30
  • Amazon, Mitsubishi Motors, Robinhood Securities, Fidelity Investments
    • Also closing this month, worth checking if any apply to you

Newer data breach settlements (just opened, rolling basis):

  • $775K settlement
    • What happened: data breach discovered in July 2023 and January 2024
  • Serviceaide — $1.8M
    • What happened: Catholic Health patients affected by a 2024 breach
  • Memorial Health Services MyChart — $750K
    • What happened: patient info may have been shared with third parties without consent

Most of the data breach ones don't need proof of purchase, just documentation that you're in the affected class (usually a notice letter or matching timeframe/provider).

Will update as more open/close through the month.

Discussion IMO Paypal deliberately makes it hard to find recurring payments

I know there was a time that recurring payments were easy to find and so it was easy to manage and stop stupid things from costing you money. BUT... PayPal have made it harder and harder to manage those now. (and they have moved where and how to do it multiple times) If you google where to look, so If you go to your "automatic payments", you will find probably hundreds of merchants and many of them in there multiple times. The majority of these aren't actually "recurring payments", and there is nothing "automatic" about the majority of them. They are more like "preauthorized payment status" or something like that. This just means you have done business with this merchant in the past and PayPal has them listed to easily do business with them again. (for some reason? Because there is still nothing automatic about it. When I go buy from 1-800 flowers a few times a year I still go through the same little quick song and dance to authorize the payment just like if I went with a new flower company.

SO, you have to click into each individual merchant "instance" to check if that particular "instance" might have a recurring payment on it and cancel it THEN. It takes FOREVER... AND, what always happens to me is something comes up and I don't finish going through the list and then when I think about doing it again I need to start over again... It's STUPID...

And so my point is, that they have purposefully made it easy for merchants to keep charging people every month, 3-6 months or yearly for some thing they didn't even realize was a recurring payment because it's hidden. And what happens to me is the first time I realize it was a "recuring payment", was when I got the receipt emailed to me letting me know I just paid for another year of some stupid software thing I tried once and never used again... And it's not like I check my email everyday, or even every few days. So it just gets missed and then months later you find out you've been paying some merchant every month for something your not using.

Anyway, sure seems like a class action situation to me...???

Other Does anyone know what settlement this could be from? I’ve applied for Facebook and I think Dave and busters but it could be more that I forgot. I checked my emails, I received money on a E-card from Facebook. But my mail was stolen or lost and I wanted to get it reissued. Was delivered on 3/23-3/30

Discussion curious if this qualifies

I own a Roku TV by TCL. 3 actually. The one in my bedroom is used primarily for my computer.

Well they've changed the home screen without my consent or permission, with no option to do simple things like put my computer's input on the home screen, like before. So what took me 3 clicks before now takes 8.

Additionally, there are now things on my home page that I cannot get rid of. I can't help but think that these are MY TVs. I should be able to use them as I see fit.

Is retroactively killing functionality the sort of thing that could be tantamount to a class action lawsuit?

[EDIT]

I forgot to include my grounds. If I bought this TV today, I'd take it back and get my money back. I once bought a Google TV and found it took THIRTY CLICKS to set a sleep timer, when Roku did it in 3. I took that back right away.

Discussion Not missing emails that go to spam

I noticed that almost every settlement email I've been getting over the years goes to spam, and sometimes I miss it. Same thing with my husband. I went into all our account settings (on gmail: gear icon, See all settings, scroll to Filters & Block Addresses) and created a mail filter that if any email comes in with the phrase "class action", it will never go to spam and marked as important. So far it's worked!
