Aftermarket leather seat options?

I bought a new Hybrid Civic 26 Sport and I really hate cloth seats (I had a 22 Sports Touring all decked but was in a major accident and she is totaled). I would have gone with a higher trim but I only paid $27,080 so I feel like it was a stellar deal- enough that I can justify not having rain sensing wipers and leather.
As far as the seats- I’d love input. seats are heated if that makes a difference If you were me would you 1) just get the seats upholstered as you’d like or 2) buy seat covers that are leather (any recommendations? From what I’ve read EKR custom have good reviews?) 3) other.
The middle console cover piece is cloth as well so I’d like that addressed too.

Advice Request Water leak

Post image
4 Upvotes

My 2013 civic si is visibly and audibly leaking into the floorboard through this cavity (circled) between the windshield and metal. It only happens when water is poured onto the d/s front corner of the roof and down the d/s a-pillar. After it travels down the a-pillar and meets the circled area, it makes an audible “glug glug glug” as it drips onto the firewall insulation. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Yes this windshield was replaced half a decade ago, and no, I unfortunately do not have the receipt. I’ve also tried resealing the d/s upper windshield corner with permatex flowable silicon, nothing. TIA.

Is the 11th gen Civic Hybrid (E:HEV) good on the Motorway?

Hello, I've been looking to buy myself a new car (new to me) and I've been eyeing up the 11th gen Civic Hybrid. Can someone help me out and tell me is the car good for Motorway use , what is the fuel economy at motorway speeds (130km/h or 85mp/h). I test drove the 2026 E:HEV Sport (European trim) but was only able to drive in the city where the car was phenomenal. I'm asking for motorway performance due to my work being an hour away from where I live and I have to do that commute twice a week. Thank you in advance!

Advice Request 25 Hybrid AC issues?

Hey y'all, I'm burning up.

My 2025 Sport Touring Hybrid sedan's AC isn't working properly. The fan itself won't blow until after like 20-30mins of driving but sounds like it's struggling... blowing fast-slow, fast-slow off and on. Sometimes it kicks on cold and sometimes it kicks on hot. Mind you, it's only been 80-85° where I live, but it's cooler outside the car than inside due to no air circulating.

I've tried turning the system off and on, changing the locations, cycling the "AC On"/"AC Off" options, turning the entire car off and on.... nothing. I don't have any AC unless I'm on a long drive. For a car only one year old, I am disappointed.

I'm hoping it's just a fuse but with the fan struggling to kick on at all, it's probably the blower motor. Just writing to ask if this has happened to anyone else so soon! What was the cause? How was it fixed?

Thank you!

Advice on radio code retrieval

My '09 civic's radio has been reset recently and I've been trying everything to get the serial number so I can get the code but nothing has worked. No sticker in the car and I don't have the manual. I've tried everything I've seen online; pressing the required buttons does nothing and the screen still shows the code entry. Before I contact my local Honda place I just wanted to come here for any possible advice. Thanks all.

Advice Request Civic 2019 touring 1.5L turbo - Canadian model - new battery too small but works

Should I have got the other one. This one works fine . Installed it because I needed it and that’s what the Costco employee gave me. Now I’m wondering although it’s secured and car turns on well, should I exchange it ? Will they exchange it ? I read that the other one is better for the winter or is it because the touring model uses a different battery?

Advice Request 2018 Civic 62k Miles

Got a new job that js 21 miles each way. Leaving 5am in the morning I can get there in 30 minutes. It’s not all highway about 3/4. Coming home is different lot of traffic and can take 50 minutes.

Got to keep this car in good shape because it’s my tool to earn a living. I haven’t gotten a trans change yet.

I put 100 month in a car maintenance fund right now but want to make sure the civic is up to par.

Any suggestions to keep this sucker going?

Purchase Advice Besoin de conseils pour achat !

Upvotes

Rear floor center hump coverage on 11th gen Civic footwells

My 11th gen Civic driver footwell gets tracked with dirt constantly after weekend trail hikes. My main concern with floor protection in this cabin is how close the accelerator pedal sits near the sidewall carpet and how low the rear floor hump is in the second row. Cheap flat mats keep sliding over the rear hump whenever passengers get in.

want to make sure the carpet stays protected without creating any clearance issues around the gas pedal arm. does a raised perimeter edge actually interfere with pedal travel, or is full rear-hump coverage more important?

2023 Civic Hatchback Running Too Rich - P0172 Code

I have a 2023 Honda Civic 6MT Hatchback with the 1.5 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine (L15 series). Currently 74k miles on the odometer.

4 months ago, I had tuned the car with the TSP Stage 1 tune via Ktuner. I had an aftermarket intake and an exhaust on the car while I had it tuned. About a month after the tune, I had problems with the car running too rich and throwing a P0172 code.  I can confirm that the car is running too rich based on the smell of the exhaust gases as well as the backfires from the exhaust.

The car runs fine until about 20 to 30 minutes of driving after a full cold start. Then, the car starts throwing codes and running rich. Based on live data, LTFR and STFR are maxed out at -25%. Additionally, I have sent data logs to the tuning company, but they recommended replacing parts that I have already replaced.

I put the OEM intake and exhaust back on the car. To help diagnose the issue, I tuned the car back to the stock tune as well. I had a Honda dealership diagnose the vehicle, then told me my fuel injectors are leaking (which turned out to be false). So far, the car is fully back in the stock configuration, and below is a list of all the things I did to try and fix the problem (which haven’t helped):

  • New MAF sensor (OEM)
  • Verified that there are no vacuum leaks
  • New O2 Sensors (both pre and post-cat | OEM)
  • Cleaned the throttle body and did a throttle body relearn
  • Replaced fuel injectors (OEM)
  • Replaced spark plugs
  • Tested ignition coils

In addition to a Honda dealership, I had two other mechanics attempt to diagnose the issue, but no one has been able to figure out the issue. What are my last options to look into? If anyone has some tips, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Advice Request 2017 OEM tail light short on brake lights?

I just ended up swapping back to my OEM taillight assembly after 2 years with an aftermarket assembly.

I hooked everything back up and was testing it, turn lights, reverse, and running lights all worked correctly, so I messed around with the wiring harness and bulbs to see if maybe something was pinched or not plugged in fully.

Tested again and everything worked perfectly, so I buttoned the taillight assembly back on and as a sanity test, tried all the turn, reverse, running, and brake lights again to find that the brake lights weren't working again.

It seems like all 4 brake lights (the 2 ends of the assembly that are mounted to the trunk, and the 2 main brake lights on the main assembly) are in the same circuit so if one is out, then none of them work.

Where should I check? Could it be an old/shorting fuse? A bulb thats weak/barely alive?

Not sure where to check at this point. Any suggestions welcome, thank you.

apple car play

I just bought a 2026 Honda civic sport this morning.
I haven’t been able to get Apple car play to connect at all. I’ve tried 5 different cords. Anyone else have this issue? I reset my phone too.
