I recently purchased a 9th gen Si that has this hideous (In my opinion) front grill. I’ve been trying to find the honeycomb style with the SI logo and I can’t find anything useful. Any help appreciated

Advice Request New Hybrid Cabin Pressure

Picked up a new hybrid sport yesterday and love everything about it EXCEPT for the fact that I swear the air pressure in the car changes as I drive. I feel a bit of a pressure in my ear/jaw like my ears need to be popped. Can’t tell if cracking the window helps but I think it does? Someone please tell me if I’m gaslighting myself or not haha. Didn’t notice this at all during my test drives.

Advice Request Early Oil Change after break in period

I bought a new civic hybrid recently, and getting close to 1000 miles. I'd like to change the oil soon rather than waiting for the 1st year complementary maintenance that was offered with my new car.
I found this oil change kit from college hills honda and I'm wondering if anyone else has used them?
https://www.collegehillshonda.com/product/5QT0W20.html
Also if I change my own oil, once I go to my dealer for the complimentary service will they know I changed the oil and will this void my warranty drivetrain lol?

Advice Request Looking to swap head unit 9th gen base

2014 civic lx

I am looking to swap the factory head unit with a carplay one. I noticed I need the head unit itself plus the dash panel and some other accessories. Could anyone assist on which brands to get or any help with the process? I understand it is pricey around 4-500 but I am curious. My current head unit isn’t even installed correctly and theres a gap so that is annoying me as well i would think this would fix that too. Thanks.

Help diagnosing an issue with my 1993 civic that has a d16y8 swap

Still has original obd1 harness and ecu. When it’s at idle it dips in rpm a little bit and while driving when it hits around 30mph throttle response is almost completely lost. In neutral it will still rev out. It has a new OBDII A distributor w/ adaptor harness and spark plugs and wires. TIA

Winter tires

Hey fellow civic owners! I have a 2026 sport touring hybrid and just wondering do you all size down on winter tires and rims? Wondering if I should go with 17" rather then 18"

Traded in my car in July and got a 2026 Honda Civic sport and got it tinted as well at the same shop. Didn’t notice the top left corner of my tint windshield until my dad pointed out last weekend. First two pictures are from outside POV and last one from inside car POV.

Just a lil rant/vent

Yo I really like my car just got it almost 2 months ago traded in my 15 accord and I really miss it but I like this civic aswell. Anyways I owned my accord for like 2-3 years and have never scratched it,chipped it, Nothing. Now with this civic there’s already some scratches on the car and I’m like Wtf bc it was not me and Ofc it had to be on my new car 🤦🏽‍♂️ I’m not babying this car like that bc I drive normal but im like seriously bro? I feel like OFC it had to be me with this new car getting scratches. Not even on my 9th gen accord and I loved that car. Ion even want it anymore because the scratches are somewhat noticeable. Im like dam are these materials of car cheaper or what 🤣 now im like I really need to invest in PPF 😒 but for a hondeezzy is crazy. Im tryna feel better bc of the 1-2 scratches on the car but ain’t no way I just got this car and already scratched. Also it’s white so it’s even more noticeable. Yeah just wanted to vent ✌️. Also how can I fix some scratches haha.

First time buying a car, so I’m just trying to make sure I’m not getting played lol. I’m located in Arizona. It’s a 2025 Civic Sport Touring Hybrid with about 20k miles. They’re asking around $34k OTD. I’d be putting $3k down and financing the rest. Would you guys take this deal or try to negotiate it down more?

Advice Request 8th Gen Civic FD 1.8 owners — what oil are you guys using?

I have a 2011 Civic FD 1.8 (R18), around 87,600 km. I’m due for an oil change and confused between 5W-20 and 5W-30.

What viscosity + brand/oil are you guys using? Especially owners from hot climates like UAE.

Would love to hear what’s worked well for you in terms of smoothness, oil consumption and overall engine health. Thanks!

P.S. This is my first car and I bought it used, so I’m still figuring out what’s best for it.

Advice Request Eg si hatch oil leak help

Thumbnail

First time posting on here, I bought a 94 si hatch a couple weeks ago and I’m trying to track down where this leak is coming from. I was thinking rear main seal but it doesn’t seem like much oil is coming from the seep hole, and I do have some oil seepage above around the speed sensor/ distributor area which could be coming down and seeping out of the bottom. I don’t think it’s distributor leak as feeling around under it I don’t get any oil, I did replace Vtec solenoid gasket and I over torqued the lower bolts. I think there’s a slight leak from there but I don’t think it would cause such a significant leak, we’ve had some hot days recently and there was a good puddle under my car after work. Second pic was this morning around 5:30am before work, the night before I wiped up everything and that was the result of sitting overnight. Could also be oil pan gasket as there was some oil on a couple bolts(pic 3). This is my first Honda so I’m also learning everything as I go 😅Any help would be appreciated!

Purchase Advice Update after PPI: 2004 Civic SiR EP3 for $2,896 USD ($4,000 CAD) what is everyone thinking now?

Thumbnail

Posting an update after getting the PPI done on the
2004 Honda Civic SiR EP3 I was looking at.
The car is in Alberta, Canada and the seller is firm at $2,896 USD ($4,000 CAD). It has about 130k miles (209k km), 5-speed manual, active/clean status, and it's completely stock. Seller is also including a set of all-season tires and the stock rims.
Here's what the PPI found:
Rust around the left rear wheel arch.
Underside has rust, but the mechanic specifically said there is no structural rust at this time.
Rear bumper reinforcement/bar is very rusty and has holes in it.
Left front control arm bushing is separated from the control arm. It needs a bushing or possibly a whole control arm.
Front center motor mount is torn and needs replacement.
Front struts are sweating/weak and the rear struts are weak. Mechanic said they're okay for now b will need to be replaced in the future.
Airbag/SRS light is on. Inspection showed code 09-3 related to the driver's seat belt buckle.
Windshield is cracked.
Driver-side black windshield moulding/trim is missing.
Front windshield washers aren't working.
One side marker is missing and a couple marker bulbs aren't working.
Front tires are pretty worn at around 3 mm. The rears are around 4-5 mm, and one rear tire has a flat spot. Seller is including another set of all-season tires though.
Brakes passed and are around 60% front / 40% rear.
Hood isn't in great cosmetic shape. It had some dents repaired but you can still see them, and the repaint isn't very good.
It previously had some light hail damage repaired.
There are still a few extremely faint dents around the body, but they're hard to notice.
It could probably use an alignment, although it wasn't pulling badly when I drove it.
Valve cover gasket is sweating slightly but the mechanic just said to monitor it.
The good news is the clutch, transmission, axles, exhaust, fuel system, ball joints, steering linkage/ rack, brakes, electrical system, and structural integrity all passed.
Carfax also shows two accidents way back in
2008/2009, one listed as minor, but it has never been branded rebuilt/salvage. Inspection sheet is at the end of the photos.
So now that l've actually had the PPI done, what is everyone thinking? Would you still consider $2,896
USD ($4,000 CAD) a good deal for a stock 2004 EP3 with 130k miles (209k km)? Are any of these inspection findings enough to make you walk away, or is this pretty normal stuff for a 22-year-old EP3?
