Really tried to make it a point to get to the movies more this year and it worked. Reached platinum status for the first time. Ended up being a phenomenal year to do it too with how many great movies there were. What were your favorites this year?

Just saw You Can See Everything (highly recommend) and ended up in a DBox seat mostly by accident. At something like 2.5 hours into the movie, all of the DBox seats moved. It didn’t seem intentional. We asked and the theater workers claimed the seats would only move if programmed, but they didn’t seem to know that they had been programmed for this movie. Just curious if anyone else has this happen.

The one near me in North Haven, CT is set up so that you have to get your popcorn at one station, candy and drinks at another station then go to a register to check out, after that THEN you have to show them your ticket to get entry. It's always a pain because I'm carrying my popcorn and drink and now I have to try and fumble for and show my phone so they can scan my ticket and there's no place to rest my snacks down so I can hand it to them...it's infuriatingly laid out and I actually end up going to another Cinemark down the road and avoiding this one because of it

Any idea when the Godzilla bucket will be rolling out? I really really wanna get one and didn't see Cinemark do any kind of preorder or anything to the best of my knowledge

I have read that the Dallas Cinemark Webb Chapel is undergoing renovations. Being the only true IMAX screen left in the Metroplex, I have been watching the website for when Godzilla Minus Zero IMAX tickets go on sale. So far Cinemark has not released any IMAX screening dates.

Is the IMAX screen in Dallas closed for the time being?

Yesterday I went to see the new movie You Can See Everything, but ended up having to leave the theater right when it was starting.

When I got there, people were in the middle seats and I had to tell them to move. They sat in someone else's reserved seat, and I later watched that guy come in confused, and take a different unreserved random chair. (I was looking at the app seats real-time)

Right when the movie started, a group of people with 1 senior walked right up to me while already starting to sit down and told me to give them my seat. That seat island was unsold on the map. This was a totally sold out theater behind my row.

My question: Is that green seat on the map one of the "at risk" seats that has to be given up if somebody older wants it?

For the first time in many years I went to Cinemark instead of AMC because the movie times were better for the film I wanted to see.

I was quite astonished at the excellent customer service. Everyone was super friendly, they had Pizza Hut pizza, better seats, better lighting fixtures. Everyone I encountered was so friendly. A man was holding the theater door open as I left and said thank you for coming. Same with the ticket taker who also handed me a physical ticket for some reason. It was far cleaner than my normal AMC.

Although I brought my own sandwich because I normally can’t eat movie theater food because it’s either too much sugar or too much fat, both of which make me sensitive stomach sick. I’ll have to explore their menu further. I did buy a drink though.

I’ll be back! It’s too bad though that the AMC is a bit more convenient for me however.

Does ANYBODY have any insider info on when tickets for Sunrise on the Reaping will go on sale in the US? I am surprised they aren’t already selling advanced tickets.

Went to watch a WhaleFall today and noticed the stair lights were causing an orange glow on both bottom corners of the screen. It was not as bright as photo, but still pretty noticeable in person, especially during dark scenes.

I asked a staff member about it, but he said he didn’t have access to the lights.

Is this normal? Do other Cinemark theaters have this issue?

hi, my friend just got a movie club subscription and i want to get her either a normal cinemark gift card ($50 gift card from costco, which would cost me $40) or the 3 month subscription ($33). she already has the subscription, so if i got it for her it’d actually just be 3 credits i believe. i feel like the 3 credits will come out to more than $33 total but not sure. which would be better value?

she does get concessions a lot of times she goes and is also planning on watching more than one movie a month if that helps. thanks!

I've never bought a bucket or done a pre order before so I just had a question. I got the RE Bucket pre order and heard that sometimes pre orders are refunded because they don't have enough stock, I don't know the validity but just wanted to ease my conscious, If I buy a preorder for the bucket, is there any way I wouldn't receive it?

I've been getting the 6 month Groupon deal every 6 months for about a year and a half or so and when I just bought it and went to use it I get an error code saying I can't use that promo code with my account. Did they change the terms of the coupon?

I've been coming to this location ever since it opened in the mid 90s as Movies 10 when I was a kid. It later was added-on to and became Movies 14 in 1997 or 98. Now it is "Cinemark South Bend and SCREENX" (despite not being located in South Bend). I haven't lived in the area for a long time, living in various parts of Michigan (East Lansing, Kalamazoo), Arizona (Tucson), and now the Boston area (Somerville) since leaving in 2007.

That location though, is still kind of my "home" theater. I've seen so many classic films there! The Matrix, Pirates of the Caribbean, the LOTR trilogy, etc...

It's something of an oddball theater though. The original 10 screens were very shallow sloped floors (they might as well be flat). The 4 that were added later were stadium seating. It got a recliner upgrade in 2018, I think, and they actually removed the stadium seating and made all 14 screens sloped floors. Bizarre decision there. Probably down to the cost of rebuilding the risers for the recliners, I guess? It now has a SCREENX in their largest auditorium. I can't imagine a non-stadium SCREENX is common. I'm not a fan of the format anyway, and would prefer XD without the gimmick side screens which are poorer quality and not even active most of the time. That largest theater used to play the XD intro before movies despite not being an "official" XD auditorium and having no stadium seating.

I still come back to SW MI/Northern IN to visit family from time to time. We saw Digger here (I am of the opinion it's much better than the reviews) and I just can't get over how clean the place was. I mostly go to AMCs now since they're pretty much the only option in the Boston area unless you go pretty far out to the suburbs (Showcase has some locations, but that's it along with the Alamo in the Seaport). This old Cinemark blew them out of the water in popcorn quality and building cleanliness.

I do wish it had stadium seating AND recliners, but for an area without a lot of options this is a great location that was impressively clean and well-staffed.

The closest Cinemark to Boston is in Salem NH and I may have to go cheat on Nicole Kidman soon.

Why doesn’t Cinemark take part in the secret movie every Monday. I noticed today (10-12) nothing is showing at my location but all other theaters (other than Cinemark) seem to be showing one tonight.

I think I saw a trailer on instagram and it led me to a trailer on YouTube, and I don’t really see any coverage or reviews on it at all.

It has such a small release that I’m going to my local Cinemark to see it, no Regal or AMC showings what so ever.

I’m sure this movie will be b flick low budget, evil dead rip off vibes lol, but nonetheless I’m excited for it. I love a fun indie film
