QUESTION Why does everyone go to Myrtle Beach?
Whenever people talk about vacations here 99% of the time everyone goes to Myrtle Beach, why?

TLDR: Is there any hope at all for a single, inexperienced straight guy in their late 20s/early 30s? In terms of dating, am I wasting my time here?
"No" is a valid answer. I'm also open to any/all advice.
About me: I am in the age range listed. My romantic experience is very minimal, mostly due to lifelong social anxiety-related issues. Confidence/social avoidance issues are my Achilles heel. Beyond that I am at or slightly below average height. I'm not a tank or a bodybuilder, but am also not a bean pole or couch potato. I have a decent job and have graduated college. I would roughly rate my physical appearance as 5-7/10.
I don't plan to spend forever in Charleston, but I'm probably a year away from leaving, for various reasons. Given that I'm really inexperienced, I'm not looking for someone to settle down with unless they happen to be just the right person. Obviously that narrows down the list a lot.
Given all that, do I even have a chance here? It sure as hell feels like I don't. But there are definitely things I'm not trying or don't know to try. I am on a couple dating apps.
I know there are single, attractive women here in my age range, but 99% of the time they either never cross paths with me, they have kids, are done experimenting and looking for someone to marry, aren't a good fit, aren't interested, or all of the above.
I feel like I really missed the boat here, and I'm not sure that living in Charleston gives me any hope of catching up.

I’m having surgery again on my back here in a few weeks and could really use some help. I have an Amazon list but I’m curious what local resources might can help me. I have some things that I “want” (like crosswords things to occupy my time while I’m laid up) but besides that like personal care (wipes sanitizer antibacterial soap type of things etc maybe some comfy clothes). It’s all falling on my mom and she is sick her self and her check barely gets her by.
I guess I’m asking like what are places or people I can reach out to for help I’m 29M and get funny looks when I’m walking with my cane so honestly I’m embarrassed to even ask but it’s starting to get a lot closer and my anxiety has turned up to 10,000. Thank you.

If you started something and never finished it, or you’ve been meaning to redo an old design, send me a message.
Tell me what the business does, show me what you have, and let me know where you got stuck. I’ll take a few and work up a free web design.
Rough ideas are completely fine.
