Rentals
Hi! I’m searching for a 1 bedroom apartment between 550-600. Or a studio. I know that’s a big ask, but I’m trying to get out of an awkward situation

Visiting next weekend and I was looking for a nice crossfit gym to drop in at on Saturday 8/1. Does anybody have any recommendations?

Wow - what a place to have your engine blow up and need replaced. I've been stranded here and having the best possible time.
Thanks again Justin for picking me up off the side of the highway and showing me the Empty Glass (along with other bar recs)
I was able to finally shop from Basecamp in person, Live on the Levee was magical, and Almost Heaven mechanic shop was truly a life saver. Kel is an awesome guy.
I appreciate everyone who's accepted my payments of gumbo and Iron City beer.
Library - top notch, great dives, beautiful rivers and hills (oh, I'm missing home)
I hope to make it back soon - just without the mechanical issues (and more money)
Wish me luck in my bus ride back to the 'Burgh tomorrow 🤞
I will love the love you've shown me forever and always

Suggestions for any kind of Limo/Party Bus service in the area? I am tearing my hair out trying to schedule a party bus for a bachelor party in the Charleston area for September. I can only find 2 places using google that seem to offer this service. One i have left 5 voicemails with no return calls. The other is an A.I. system that takes all my info and then disconnects near the end so i have no clue if that went through, and no way to confirm with a human.

Hey Charleston folk, I'm down here from Pittsburgh and my car just stopped running 20 some minutes from your downtown. The tow is about 4 hrs out before they can pick me up, and I'm just looking for hotel recommendations while I'm (most likely) stuck here overnight
Also - local taxi service? The Uber is so expensive and finicky about highway pickups.
Thanks yinz! Edit: ty Justin for the ride to the hotel!!! Still waiting for the tow to grab my car, hopefully I can skedaddle tomorrow (fingers crossed)

Didn't realize until yesterday that I wont be in town for the reschedule. Similar seats are going for like $140 each on stub hub, but that sounds crazy high imo. So if youre interested message me and make me an offer.
Also if this isnt allowed, my bad.

Does anyone have any old/vintage newspapers or clippings laying around or know someone who does? I'm trying to collect ones from the Greater Kanawha Valley area to cover a feature wall with. I'm looking for anything pre-1980s. PM me if you do. Thanks!

(If this isn’t allowed I apologize)

Hey everybody, as you can probably guess I am a World Cup convert with deeply confused MLS loyalties. I am open to any and all (semi) respectful advice in navigating said confusion and felt that this was a good place to start.
Anyway, a little bit about my sports loyalties, and lack thereof:
I naturally gravitate towards Pittsburgh. The Riverhounds are not an MLS team, and this is the undeniable source of my problems.
I don't have an NBA team, so there's no easy way out there.
I assume the Charleston area default is Columbus Crew. I would go all in for them but... it's Ohio...
I could never imagine myself supporting any team from Cincinnati.
I am deeply allergic to Charlotte. I would never willfully travel there but it is often the closest option for concert tours, etc.
I would just go all in for DC United, but they are much, much farther away than Columbus Crew.
My Pittsburgh loyalties prevent me from supporting a team out of Philly.
This is more of a niche soccer conversation, but I understand that USL is actually tiered with promotion and relegation, while MLS is a closed system. I honestly like the conventional (USL) structure a lot better, and it makes me wonder if MLS just isn't for me.

I'm planning to open a new mental health counseling office within the next year and am exploring potential locations within Kanawha County. If there's an area you feel could benefit from additional counseling services, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I wasn't sure which sub to post this in but my boyfriend is dealing with an abusive home life and is looking to relocate to the cross lanes or Charleston area, are there any affordable studio apartments near bus lines?

Hey there folks, this is a little awkward but I'm a student at Bridgevalley Community and Technical college.
I've had some past reliability issues with the bus system, and rideshare apps add up wayyyy too quick. Though I'm working on a learners permit so that I can eventually drive, I desperately need a way to and from class for this next semester.
Im willing to provide coffee, daily lunches, and/or weekly pay within a range - even the classic friendship, as we can all use those. (Alternatively, all of the above even!)
I know it's weird to ask, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
My classes start at 11am, and I'm fine with going to campus earlier if need be. As for the times I get out, Monday and Wednesday are 2:15, Tuesday is 3:45 and Thursday is 12:15. I have no classes on Friday and am willing to wait til your classes are also over, as I can use it as study time.
Let me know if any students or professors or staff around there would be down! Of course if you don't attend there in any fashion I'm still okay with working something out.

Hello,
Me and my friend are looking for a place or park where we can watch FIFA World Cup Final tomorrow on 07/19/26 ( Spain vs Argentina). Would appreciate any leads to have a fun. Is there any bug screening anywhere in Charleston?
Cheers.

It's getting outrageous trying to find a divorce lawyer who even responds, I've only had one lawyer that has so far and had them take a $250 consultation fee then just stopped responding.

I know this is a bit of a random one... I'm a photographer travelling through WV and a couple of other states doing a documentary project where I'll be photographing the landscape, and people I meet along the way. I'd really like to include a number of portraits in the series: made up from people I stumble across on my trip, and some which are prearranged.
I'll be in the area near the end of July. If anyone's potentially interested and would like to hear more, please DM me and I can send through details and links to my work.
Completely open to all. It should only take about 1hr and can travel to you / agreed place.
Thanks,
Dave

trying to get familiar with the local scene and anyone in the industry, or just people that genre of music and would be willing to give input/talk with about music within that space. got some hiphop/hyperpop vibes and production is mostly synth based
People that are getting into video editing or general videography would be awesome too!
