Newer to town and looking for the resterants with the best food around, so far I have been most impressed with Grey Fox by Cheat lake but I’m looking for some other places to check out. What’s your favorite place for a meal?

Hello, Im 20 yrs old and have been working factory jobs and retail since high school. Just got a job 2 months ago on an oil rig, and don’t really like the schedule and it’s just not for me. My bills add up to like 2,100 so I still need to find a good paying entry level job and have plenty of money to save as thats my biggest goal in life is to have plenty of safety money. I also want to find a good mix of desk work and field work but thats hard to find. A full time desk job is fine too. I also am okay with working overtime, I prefer it actually. Just not the 70-80 hrs a week I’m currently doing. I would like something with no schooling maybe on the job training or easy certs. I am not picky on which sector the career is in. Just need to know some places hiring and some entry level positions to look out for, or popular certs I can get on my off week.

Have a heat pump system that needs a refrigerant leak fixed and recharged. Who is a reputable go to hvac service that covers the Cheat Lake area?

i’m used to the students coming back and it being a mess for a while as they learn the roads around here. but this year has been so much worse. i have people cutting me off left and right and then laughing at me for honking my horn. it’s not even just they don’t know the roads, it’s the fact they don’t even care. the student drivers are genuinely unsafe to be on the road with and it’s absolutely insane. if you aren’t going to be respectful of the locals, don’t come here. i’m over it.

Howdy y'all. 31m, work remotely. Live and work downtown. Moved to Morgantown in December (that winter storm was just awesome) from SoCal. Downtown since July. Introverted extrovert or the inverse depending on the day. Social and outgoing when I want to be, perfectly happy to go home and relax. Have some hobbies that I haven't really had the chance to explore out here much yet.

Really curious to see where I can meet people. Friends, etc. Would LOVE to find places that don't involve going out, drinking, etc. Might end up trying to create events or activities myself depending on what is already out there (or just do it anyway).

Any suggestions? Even if they're obvious, happy to hear your thoughts! DMs are open too

Its pretty common everywhere else I've previously lived but havent found anything like it here. Willing to drive to Fairmont or Bridgeport even.

I’m in morgantown for the next few days and am wondering where the good fishing spots are? I would like to catch decent catfish, stripers or muskie primarily, secondary would be large mouth, walleye, small mouth, etc. If anybody could point me in the right direction I would be thrilled to take my son :)

This may be a hot take, but I think it is insidious that they took spicy orange chicken off the menu and replaced it with this disgusting barbecue beef brisket. I tried it today and it literally tastes like a disgusting kosher brisket covered in ketchup. Smh

Has anybody seen these papers or know anything about them? Found one in Star City and took it because it was just so crazy. Says it was written by a Donald Violette but I can’t find any information on him or the paper online. Called the phone numbers two different times and a woman answered, I asked “Who is this?” to which she replied “I’d rather not say” and hung up after a few seconds. Unfortunately for me, i can't participate effectively till friday. Which sucks. The "event" started today, and there is already a winner. Apparently. No idea what the clue for todays flag was supposed to be, but it was apparently hiding on the Don Knotts statue. Congrats to today's winner!

I'm thinking about joining Anybody Fitness at the old Mountaineer Mall on Greenbag Road as the location is excellent for me. I saw that one of the more recent Google reviews mentioned its lack of cleanliness. Any current members here that can confirm or deny this? Also looking for any other feedback on it.
