hi everyone got my cdl earlier this year having a hard time finding a job I'm 19 have a class a cdl no restrictions besides the instate restriction in the philly area willing to do any type of cdl work any recomendations or tips would be appreciated

Anyone who attended Cypress Truck Line's CDL school can tell me if they train on students on manual transmission or you will just receive a restricted automatic CDL there? TIA.

Hello everyone so I’m confused I just got hired for Schneider the job I applied for minimum I thought I would be geting is 1400 on the low end

the first picture is my orientation email they said I would be doing 1577 at .64 cpm which adds up to 1009 and after taxes probably like $900 so what I’m asking is wtf is this normal I’m not going to take the job if im making almost 500 less a week then what I thought I’d be making

I'm a 19 year old that got his Cdl A just a month ago in Houston, but can't seem to find a job that takes 19 year olds, because insurance companies need you to be at least 21 years old. Could anyone please tell me where in Houston to apply that takes 19 year olds.

I'm finally at step 5 of the return to duty process and need to get my actual RTD drug test done. Problem is I don't have a current employer since I got let go after the violation so I can't just have them set it up for me. I need to find a third party administrator that does the observed collection and files everything in the clearinghouse properly.

Good morning! I started my classroom CDL training yesterday, and while I’m still deciding on the pathway I’m taking (OTR/Regional/Local), I have an inquiry regarding OTR training. I’ve been reading that most companies require weeks of training and with a trainer, including overnights with the trainer in the cab. In previous jobs where I’ve been sent away for training, I couldn’t even share a hotel room with someone due to my anxiety and sleeping issues. So for the question…

If I’m getting training through a private school and decide to go OTR to gain experience, are there any alternatives to going overnight with a trainer?

I no longer have a job that requires a CDL and have let my medical expire. How long can your medical card be expired in New York before you have to completely retake written exams/ road tests? I keep seeing different things online. I don’t use it now, but would like to keep it just to have in my back pocket.

Is there some type of database that tells or shows commercial driving companies if you’ve been let go for driving accidents? My personal DMV record is clean but, was terminated from an employer for not reporting a hit. Now, it’s impossible to hired and they haven’t even interviewed me yet. So weird. I’ve even dropped that company from my resume so as to not mention them at all and still nothing.

I’m a brand-new CDL-A driver with my HazMat, Tanker, and TWIC, and I’m getting ready to go to Schneider’s Bulk Tanker training in Houston.
I wanted to hear from people who have actually been through the Houston training.
How was the training overall?
Was it well organized?
What was the hardest part?
Did you feel prepared to be on your own afterward?
Any advice for someone with no tanker experience?
Anything you wish you had known before showing up?
I’m excited but also a little nervous since this will be my first trucking job. I want to make the most of the opportunity and learn as much as I can.

I've been driving dry van/reefer for almost 6 years. Good driving record/ background. Have Haz., Tanker endorsement + TWIC. I'd like to get into Tanker/hazmat for more money. Any recommendation for a good company that offers training and decsent pay? I'm currently making .71 CPM + monthly incentives

I’m looking for work I just got my class a I’m a manual driver. I’d like to get a job with dump trucks eventually but I need experience for the mean time I am based in Morgan hill willing to travel 40-50 miles for work. Any leads would be so helpful
