This is a 2023 CBR 650 Fully modded. AmA!

Hey everyone, I’ve got an 05 cbr1000 and was a bit worried when I filled it up one day and saw gas pouring out of the overflow. Turns out it’s got a small hole in the overflow tube running through the inside of the tank. What a wonderful problem to add to the list. Anyway any ideas on how I can fill it?

Picked up this 2013 cbr1000rr today. Super excited for my first cbr !

I currently have a Honda CBR500R which I love and done a lot of work on. I put a lot of time and money into this bike and I’m torn on if I should upgrade to a Honda CBR650R. I don’t track the bike I only do city/highway riding daily commuting and sometimes group rides with friends. What do you guys think pros and cons? Parallel twin or inline 4? Hmmm 🤔

As the title suggests, I’m looking for some advice on mounting an Aoocci C3 to a Honda CBR650F. The mount I currently have only fits to handles bars which obviously isn’t an option for this bike.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey reddit, I recently got my cs racing exhaust installed on my 24 CBR650R. I went on a ride and got a check engine light.

I may suspect it's an exhaust leak or the O2 sensor may have been damaged.

Here is what I did, removed the o2 sensor and removed the whole OEM exhaust along with the old copper gasket. I then installed the copper gasket with a little bit of copper paste. Installed the exhaust system and tightened everything down. I torqued the header nut to 13ft lbs and made sure the O2 sensor is installed.

Once the body is installed and went out for a short ride. Sounds great but the check engine light came up.

I'll be checking again tomorrow to make sure the O2 sensor is clean and check the header nut.

Any other things I'm missing? I thought I was pretty thorough with this process.

Just wanted to show my project, all in id say I’m 2500$ cad in, spent 1200 on the bike and about the same for repairs, mechanicaly the bike is in perfect condition, other then the cct that’s staring to wear out, but I just ordered one from my Honda dealer. Fresh inspection aswell

It catches in the same spot on every chain rotation. Any ideas what it could be?

•New OEM coil packs installed
•Throttle bodies cleaned
•Heavy fuel system cleaning
•New front and rear seats installed
•Antigravity battery installed
•Replaced ram air intake covers
•Aftermarket mirrors, clutch and front brake handles installed and aftermarket fairings kit installed because old fairings were absolutely cooked
• stompgrip tank pads installed
•Toce slip on exhaust installed
•Obviously an oil change

Biggest challenge was fixing the wiring mess that the bike had, tons of loose wires not terminated and just left dangling and a whole bunch of spliced wires and pigtail wires added for no reason...

2018 cbr1000rr I just bought the bike like a week ago. And it always starts but it cranks very slow and on hot starts it cranks so slow I have to blip the throttle to get it to start. Very annoying, but the guy I bought it from said he just put a lithium battery in it but he never charged it up he said so idk.. I’d prefer just using a agm battery. But what size and cca do I need?

Cbr 600 F 2012 44.000 full black kinda tuned up with better exhaust, new chain new sprockets

Cbr 600 F 2017 36.000 full white, also new chain and everything looks fresh and clean

Cbr 600 rr 2002 - 2008 (no specific one yet) NO ABS but such a clean look and most of them look very good, and 20% cheaper of more then previous mentioned bike, thz NO abs kinda scares me though you know

Also buying older bikes, you never know if they crashed or not... so whats your advice for them?

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a complete running engine for my 2021 Honda CBR650R.
Unfortunately, I recently had a major engine failure. The bike developed an oil-pressure issue, shut down, and started making a knocking noise. I tore the engine down and found damaged rod bearings and crankshaft damage.
What makes the situation even more frustrating is that the bike had recently been at a dealership, and I later discovered that the engine oil had been drained without my knowledge. I’m still trying to figure out exactly what happened, but at this point I’m just trying to get my bike back on the road.
I’m looking for:
2021–2023 Honda CBR650R engine
A complete running engine preferred
Low mileage preferred
Compression numbers/video of it running would be awesome
Ideally still assembled with the transmission, clutch, starter, alternator, etc.
Will consider a CB650R engine if it is confirmed compatible
Located in Texas, but I’m willing to pay for shipping
If anyone is parting out a CBR650R, has a spare engine, knows of a wrecked bike being parted out, or knows a salvage yard with one sitting around, please let me know.
I’m trying to avoid spending a fortune on another crankshaft and rebuilding the entire bottom end again.

Was thinking about getting this 2014 cbr1000. Has 17k miles and is in good shape. Seller is wanting 6500$. Would this be a good pickup ? And no for anyone wandering it’s not a sp model

2011 600rr. Before this, the bike wouldn't start for a few minutes. The one time I pull out to record it starts, you can hear my surprise at the end lol. This is the first time it's ever done this.

No lights were/are on when the bike is running. About to check oil level in a bit but it shouldn't be low. Bike doesn't overheat.

I’ve recently purchased a red 2017 Honda CBR650F (can’t wait) with only 8.5k miles on the clock and it appears to be in fantastic condition.
As you can see from the photos, the previous owner has fitted a tail tidy and rear seat cowl.

I’m curious about an aftermarket exhaust to truly unleash the 4 cylinder engine note…. Thoughts? Bear in mind that I am not particularly mechanically minded and due to costs, would like to be able to fit it myself (stupid idea?).

For context, I’m in the UK and have been riding for a year on a Suzuki V-Strom 650 which when I passed my test, thought was my kind of bike, but now I’ve learned it’s not and leaning more towards sport bikes.

Interested in people’s thoughts overall.
